Ron Paul's influence big on GOP delegate at state convention

Seven months ago, Jodie Fisher didn’t know what a Republican delegate was.

Yet that’s the role Fisher filled Friday at the 2012 Minnesota Republican State Convention in St. Cloud. Sporting a Ron Paul sticker, Fisher spoke to the Times just after Paul addressed an adoring crowd at the River’s Edge Convention Center.

No one wielded more influence at the convention Friday than Paul, a Texas congressman and presidential hopeful. He’s mounting a challenge to presumed nominee Mitt Romney at the Republican National Convention, though he recently announced he won’t keep actively campaigning.
