On second thought.

Should we be posting this info on a public forum?

this information is not secret

The Michigan results have been published many places, and it's not only here that they have been posted. Whether it's talked about or not, anyone who is interested can find out, and the Romney campaign and the RNC certainly know.

If, though, you had 100 of Romney's hand-picked delegates in California who were closet Ron Paul supporters, and no one had a clue, that's the type of information to keep secret.

The RNC has the names. They

The RNC has the names. They don't have a bunch of Paul bots bragging about the numbers unless they come here.

Better safe than sorry. The more people persist in this the more suspicious it is.

they know who people are supporting, too

If you find it best to hide this information then that's completely fine. But you're really not concealing any information that isn't otherwise known. There are plenty of people (both Ron Paul supporters and not) that are sharing the info publicly.

Fine.

Have at it.

I don't think posting raw numbers will hurt us...

... The tickets are punched for Tampa, right? How can they be derailed at this point?

The GOP

is currently in the process of "derailing" several states worth of our delegates as we speak.
And there is an announced "nationwide purge" of RP delegates being attempted by the RNC trying to find out who they are, and kicking them out.

This was announced by Doug Wead on his blog, and it's happening.

No delegate info should be posted, and all delegates need to keep their heads down until the convention.

The criminal RNC is on a jihad.

You may be correct.

Then again you may not. Clearly it is not out of the realm of possibility that the GOP would or could do such a thing. Dare we risk making it easier? Another poster took his down just a second ago. That makes two of us.

Any update on the missing two CDs and the At Large?

Thank you!

A Constitutional, Christian conservative who voted for Ron and stands with Rand

it sounds like Romney got the at-large

and judging by the CD results, it stands to reason that he would have the numbers to do so. Combining reports from Paul supporters and Romney supporters that I've found, it appears that either 6 or 7 of the 30 delegates in Tampa will be Ron Paul supporters. The rest will support Romney. There are also 2 of the Paul delegates that are bound to Romney at first. That would mean Romney will likely get between 23 and 26 of the delegate votes on the first ballot.

Well, still, that is 6 or 7 more Liberty delegates...

... than projected from the Primary results. Thank you, Michigan pro-Paul delegates and alternates!

But on the flip side...that

But on the flip side...that is still way more delegates for Romney than projected from the primary results. The media numbers for Michigan have been projecting Romney to get only about half. So he has gone UP, and that is all that matters in terms of getting to a second round of voting.

CD3 and CD5

Anyone have the results from CD3 or CD5?

Just wanted to add..

I found this very amusing/telling/awesome.

In CD 1 room there was not one Ron Paul sign to be found. The walls were plastered. We even had the Governor of Wisconsin come in and make mention of how Mitt Romney was the only candidate campaigning.

We didn't boo or argue. Let them put up their signs, stack our chairs full of fliers, listened to their speeches and then just wiped them out.

Grand Travese County had EVERY, SINGLE, ONE of our elected delegates show up plus the alternate. That came to a total of 25!

So, it's not numbers or flair that win elections. It is dedication and organization. I am so proud to be a member of this CD. We will make an impact for liberty in the state of Michigan for years to come.

It was very difficult sitting

It was very difficult sitting in that room. We were in the belly of the beast. Ron Paul shirts and signs today is nice.

I think we met outside in the line to get in.

You were wearing leather coat and "golfer" hat (sorry, don't know the name for it)? You told the story about the imported Canadian moose and a former governor?

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." Benjamin Franklin

You must be talking about

You must be talking about 1 of the national delegates. That is what he wore on friday

I think that

RP getting even as much as we're seeing in the strongly liberal state of Michigan is good news.

Romney does better among progressive left leaning areas which favor such Romney positions of strict gun-control, pro-abortion, and socialized health care.
Among Constitution-violators, Romney tends to be popular.

Great news indeed.

Michigan is a large state with a very lopsided population density. My CD is the largest in terms of square miles but also the most rural. It is in these northern counties that Paul has the most support, I believe.

In the Democratic leaning south you have the larger the cities/counties population wise with a strong union background. As well as many of the minorities who have become very dependent on the federal and state well fare benefits. It is the appeal that Romney has to the many moderates in the southern counties that has allowed him the success he has had.

That said, I found it ironic that several candidates to the legislative branch were propping Romney as the only viable candidate due to his appeal to conservatives. "We have to work as team" is a phrase I often heard in the stump speeches last night. I interpreted it to mean, "plug your nose and take one for the team."

No, thanks. I will write Paul in if I have to. I cannot in good concinse vote for Mitt.

here is the tweet from our current g.o.p. chair.
Ron Paul folks only win 2 Congressional Districts and two stray delegates out of 14 - good night for Romney!

I am sitting here waiting for him to get voted out, sigh.

Here's what I've found:

(ignoring alternates for now)

Paul swept CDs 1 and 2 (6 delegates but only 4 are actual voting delegates at the convention). Paul got nothing in 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, or 14.

Paul got 2/3 in CD9 and 1/3 in CD4. It's not clear how the delegates break down in those districts. For real voting delegates, Paul got either 1 or 2 in CD9 and 0 or 1 in CD4.

I haven't seen results for CDs 3, 5, or 12.

That means that Ron Paul has between 5 and 7 of the 22 CD voting delegates so far. 6 CD delegates are unknown, and 2 at-large delegates will be chosen today, bringing the total up to 30 for the state.

Anyone with further info about those districts or corrections?

Awesome update

Appreciate it and hope the remaining districts report in.

cd1 sweep, it was a jaw

cd1 sweep, it was a jaw dropping event. The gop paid for a bus to hall us from the u.p. Between 8 and 12 hour drive. We had 40/50 ron paul on our bus, that was there mistake getting a bus. I hope they don't leave us here:0 cd2 swept also. other than that, a couple here and there, not sure.

CD1

Yes it was wonderful to hear name after name being called out from our slate! I think we have a rather reasonable bunch in the 1st CD. The chair was non hostile and the few Romney folk were rather withdrawn. Probably because they knew how outnumbered they were. It was great first experience for me and has encouraged me to become even more involved in my local government. Good work team. We were able to accomplish our goals in a manner that Dr Paul would be proud of.

I don't think that we out

I don't think that we out numbered them. We new which 6 to vote for and they didn't. Our candidates were excellent and respected, which brought in more votes.

I like your version better.
