32/37 RP delegates from Minnesota!

We just now elected 11 more delegates from MNGOP Convention to RNC who are Ron Paul supporters. That gives us 32 out of 37 delegates from Minnesota who are Ron Paul supporters!

Michelle Bachmann is in a runoff with one of our guys, we have around 53-57% voting strength.

I am running the operations and the on-site war room with the State Chair Marianne Stebbins who is on the floor as a delegate. We have prevailed.... Vote against Bachmann forthcoming.

All our work in Minnesota for the last year has just paid off; the staff, the supporters and volunteers, every bit of it was worth it!

We did it!

I was there for the convention and got the chance to meet many of our fellow RP supporters. We are among amazing people! It made my heart sing when Ron's endorsed candidate Kurt Bills was nominated to go against Amy Klobuchar, but also when we elected 11/12 delegates today!

The only reason we didn't get the 12th was the classy move made on the part of Don Huizenga, who gave up his spot to recognize the hard work done by Michelle Bachmann in the Republican party. Listen everyone, sometimes we need to extend an olive branch to keep this party united.

It was a wonderful 2 days. Liberty is brewing. We're going to see our beautiful USA shining on a hill again soon.

give em an olive branch somewhere else! How is done Don gonna feel if Rmoney nabs it by 1 vote? or Ron looses it by 1 vote?

hell they wouldn't even let Ron in the building in 08, I'm quite sure MB will be let in, delegate or not. Smooth move Don.

You should re-read the story

You should re-read the story of Jackie Robinson. The underdog rarely gains power, but even if he does, he never keeps it long without a moral sacrifice to those who would make to oppress him.

Take the example in Iowa. Liberty candidates have soundly defeated the establishment GOP in Iowa. But that may not be enough; they are already being demonized as a rogue, ineffective and dysfunctional group of "usurpers" despite recognizing all the rules in their victory. To have any lasting effect, they will have to maintain a compelling moral position strong enough to encourage donations, volunteers and general public enthusiasm despite pervasive and unfair attacks from the dethroned establishment. If they cannot, they will have no lasting effect.

Even if Ron Paul is elected President, he will have limited effect on national policies if he cannot convince the public to continue to support him against a hostile Congress, a hostile bureaucracy, and hostile government welfare recipients (if you think Goldman Sachs will be powerless against a President Paul, you may want to consider the tribulations of Presidents Jackson, Lincoln, McKinley, Kennedy, and others).

And Romney will not win by one delegate, despite that it could be true, anymore so than a terrorist is actually hiding in your luggage, despite the TSA's fervent assertion that it "could" be true. Your hypothetical is too remote a possibility to forego the support that can be generated with some on-the-fence individuals in Minnesotate toward the liberty movement in general.

And you forget that Michelle Bachmann may very well vote for Ron Paul herself if the vote is close enough to make a difference. Moral sacrifice has a way of making a lasting impact on people, and changing their hearts. Exactly as Jackie Robinson eventually changed the heart of baseball.

great speech

many good points but they all presume the MSM would actually report on this sacrifice at some important point in time. President Paul's effectiveness level will not be effected but this but his ability to get there CERTAINLY may be. With the count coming up as close as everyone senses, the chance that this could effect the outcome is very possible.

Off with the hat...

Why did the Paul supporter

Why did the Paul supporter give his spot to Bachmann....she isn't even in the race and is a ROMNEY hypocrite!

In my opinion it was a brilliant political move

If you all could of been here you would understand why. We basically threw them a bone and slapped them in the face at the same time. The commitee man spoke of the tension between the old guard and paulers. This was done in part to show we are not all here for the short term but that we are here for the long term and are not going away after this november. It is a smart move to build coalitions, most people here seem to have the same beliefs but just don't realize who to support due to misinformation. Most of the 2500 people are just average people that are fed up but are mislead by the few that are corrupt. We worked it don't stress over the one delegate.

Beating Michelle Bachmann would have been fun....

But a crushing majority is OK too. :-)

Paul supporters score near sweep of national delegates

ST. CLOUD - Supporters of presidential hopeful Ron Paul picked up 12 of 13 national delegates chosen at this weekend's state Republican party convention. They will represent the state party in Tampa, FL at the Republican National Convention.

The audience of mostly Paul supporters erupted after they realized they nearly swept the slate. It means 32 of the 40 delegates heading to Tampa are confirmed supporters of Ron Paul. Another potential Paul delegate, Don Huizenga, dropped his bid after he didn't pick up the needed 50 percent. That means GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann, a one-time candidate for president, can be a delegate.

"We're very happy," said Pastor Kevin Erickson, a national delegate elected out of the 8th Congressional District. "From Minnesota, we'll cast 32 votes for Ron Paul. The rest, we'll see what happens."

The strength of Paul's supporters means several well known Republicans will not be headed to Tampa. They include former Congressman Mark Kennedy, state Rep. Keith Downey, Republican Party Treasurer Bron Scherer, Republican Party Deputy Party Chair Kelly Fenton and 6th District Republican Party Chair Jen Niska.

Thank you so much, Minnesota Paul supporters/workers...

fearless brave joyful peaceful loving grateful, compassionate

Bawling my eyes out!!

Been on since stream began again this morning....All I can say is WoooHooo!!! Thank YOU MN!!!!

I just read the startribune and it said Ron Paul supporters will

work for Romney's election should he become nominated? And I copied and pasted the other statement below:

Although the Paul backers say they want him represented in Tampa, with hopes to win Paul a speaking slot, they said they would work for Romney's election should he become the nominee.

I don't believe any of this. Just more spin the way they like to report the news.

Strategy people

Every delegate and alternate was asked if they would support the nominee. Most said yes, ask yourself who is going to say no. A few did and they didn't do as well. You can say you support the nominee cause no one knows who that is yet. It's all a play on words. The Star Tribune is misleading everyone. That is not what was said by anyone. I'm on the floor here trust me we rocked it this weekend. We also got Kurt Bills endorsed for senate against Amy k. Viva la revolution, we march on!!

"The more you understand everything, the more you can understand anything."

Rp needs to speak.......

at the conventions. That seems to be the charm and the draw that pulls this over the top. Wish he could have been at Arizona.

He did, yesterday

He did, yesterday

It Sure Appears to Be Working Having Him Go Give Speeches at

these conventions. Go Ron Go, we love you Ron Paul!

Of the three automatic delegates in each state

The state chair, commitee woman and commitee man we got the commitee woman. She is for Paul.
