Loose Lips Sink Ships: Silence Is Golden

A WARNING from Doug Wead

It is time to go INCOGNITO for the delegates.

adjective 1. having one's identity concealed, as under an assumed name, especially to avoid notice or formal attentions. adverb 2. with the real identity concealed ...

Delegates In Disguise

Recent comment/WARNING from Doug Wead...

"Meanwhile, there is evidence of a full scale purge of any Ron Paul delegate, from any state, to the RNC. If you are a delegate, keep your head down. They are looking for you. More on all of that this Monday."

That is very clear WARNING - "If you are a delegate, keep your head down. They are looking for you."

BLEND IN, suit and tie. Look the part of a Romneytron. Dress to the nines, and make them think, "No way he/she is a Paul supporter."

If anyone you don't personally know asks you, "Who are you with? Who do you support?" Tell them a little white lie.

DO NOT post your name on internet forums if you are a delegate!

DO NOT post anything on the internet that even suggests you are a delegate!

BECOME Romney, make yourselves invisible.

Turn the game of delegate convention chess into a delegate convention political play where all the actors look alike and nobody knows who's who.

I always wanted to be an actor on the grand stage.......

Isn't this news the type of news we want to email to the supporters? Instead of having it live for anyone to see?

I didn't see anything...did

I didn't see anything...did you see anything? Didn't think so...

What we want to prevent is giving away the NAMES of delegates. Numbers are great to report on and rally the troops, NAMES must be kept under wraps.

In other words, DO NOT blob it all over your facebook page that you're a delegate!

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

It really depends who you

It really depends who you are. If you were elected a Ron Paul delegate, that is one thing.

If you weren't, remain silent. That's for Romney to find out at the convention,

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I don't get it...

First he says delegates should be incognito for fear of being "purged" before the RNC, but then his next blogs talks about districts that were swept by Ron Paul supporters, leaving little mystery as to who they are.

It's already too late...

That is because once you are already a delegate that is going to Florida, it's already too late for them. You have won. Once you are in, you are in. The time to be stealth is while you are trying to get voted in to move on to the national level. That is when they will attempt to keep you out.

I think you are over reacting

All I get from reading Doug Wead's blog is the establishment is aware and afraid. The people running state conventions probably don't know the existence of Daily Paul, and are not really doing full background checks on every state delegate who goes to the convention. If you dress like everyone else at check-in, they have no reason to exclude you.

If you submitted paperwork to be a national delegate, leave your public support of Ron Paul behind you for awhile so you aren't accidentally left off the ballot. Dress professionally, and be friendly. If you are on a slate that is not specifically a Ron Paul slate, don't mention you support Ron Paul. Let the campaign promote you among other names if they choose, but don't let out the secret if it isn't apparent who you support. I knew we had lost AZ committeeman when someone went to speak in his behalf and mentioned Ron Paul at the microphone.

Doug mentioned delegates lost in Arizona. I was there. I heard why they thought we had 11 (we didn't, it was a misunderstanding). My CD elected Ron Paul supporters and they were still on the official list when released by the state.

If they fear us, we win. If we fear them, we lose. I enjoy reading Doug Wead's analyses, but they are not the official campaign strategy, nor are they always correct. Please stop the self-censoring. It is more harmful to us than open dialogue.

They will do anything they can to keep you out. We won Iowa because we were dressed up nice, didn't let them know who we are, and talked like Fox News. We held back the "end the fed" and "bring the troops home" talk and instead talked about ObamaCare and the threat of Iran. If asked who we supported, the answer was, "Anyone who can defeat Obama". Trust me, you don't want them knowing you are a Paul supporter until you are off to Florida.

This kind of strategy reminds me

of a line from one of my favorite songs
"If you don't become an actor, you'll never be a factor"
by Lupe Fiasco - "Words I Never Said"

For a hip hop artist he is one of my favorite musicians; he doesn't sell himself out to the music industry to rap about the same crap that is always played on the radio.
He actually went head to head against Bill O'Reilly once seen here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIQUByiRLGc

The lyrics to the song are powerful and its a compliment to his talent that he can squeeze many issues into a single song and makes it work and flow together. I would find it hard not to be an admirer of this song as a lover of all things liberty =)

So what's the bottom line?

So what's the bottom line? GET YOUR BUTT TO TAMPA no matter what! If that means getting chosen as a "Mitt Romney," delegate then so be it. JUST GET TO TAMPA!

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

So what is it Mittens can do to an excomm

who's been in it for a couple years already? For heaven's sake I went to my county reorg my very first term with a C4L shirt on. I'm waaaay, waaaay past stealth mode. >:)

Everyone whose state has not been to state convention:

and you are NOT a delegate---Get a twitter account. You can make up a fake one. Tweet this: I am a Ron Paul delegate going to state then hashtag state abbreviation GOP.

I am a Ron Paul delegate and hope I get to go to Tampa #TXGOP

Everyone that is not a delegate do it and they will be bombarded with too much info and won't know who to believe. Won't hurt anyone and it will be fun to be a little devious.

The GOP Has No Legal Standing To Commit Fraud

right? If they can just remove a delegate at will then we do not live in a free country.

It is against the law to disenfranchise people and steal/rig votes in the general right? Well, then that has to apply to the parties as well because who is voted on in November comes through the selection process by the parties. That is why they have to have rules that meet law.

If Ron Paul doesn't fight against this delegate deletion, then he was never in it to win it anyway. Ron is 76 and Rand is part of the GOP so there is no third party run folks.

Wead ignores his own advice.

After advising delegates to lay low, he proceeds to say from which Michigan districts we have elected delegates. So just how "incognito" are those delegates going to be?? If Wead had any smarts, he would be naming districts where Romney actually won all the delegates; let them eat each other, trying to figure out who's the spy.

It's not about the numbers,

It's not about the numbers, both campaigns know the true numbers....it's about the NAMES.

"Ron Paul won 6 out of 10 from District 3," - that's fine.

"Joe Seagul was selected as a delegate from District 3," - THAT is what we want to avoid.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Do some districts have large numbers of delegates?

I thought each district only had a couple, and two alternates. Not much room to hide.

If everone looked like a romney bot at the convetion don't you

think they would just post the votes as

and at what point do we pull off the romney bot suits and sport our ron paul superman outfits?

I don't see how this makes sense and man does it leave room for fraud. Didn't 2008 have people give away their tickets in exchange for concert tickets and a whole mess of other b.s. AND supporting mccain as well?????

"GOP Gone Wild," caught on

"GOP Gone Wild," caught on camera? I'm all for it. In fact, even the incognito Ron Paul supporters should give a wink wink in the ballot stuffing orgy of fraud, just to fit in - BUT GET IN ON CAMERA!!!!!

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

but aren't we ALL delegates

of a sort.

How does one lay low?

I was thinking of joining a Ron Paul meet-up group. But these groups have pictures. How far must one carry this lay low business? It would be very discouraging to be in a convention and appear to be losing - even though we might be winning because there are many incognito Ron Paul supporters.

another way to contribute to the cause is Phone from home;

they can't see you.

One of the RP supporters in my state totally blew his cover when he gave a 3-minute speech about Ron Paul during a GOP meeting. He's almost 80 years old, and I know no one suspected him as being "one of those people".

But I guarantee you he did more good in those 3 minutes than he ever could've done if he would've remained incognito. People listened to him and respected him. His speech was absolutely fantastic.

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born...and the day you find out why. -Mark Twain

His speech outed himself, and

His speech outed himself, and the man was probably disqualified by directly endorsing Ron Paul, that's a no no. All he had to do was practice the art of being vague to get the same point across without saying, "Ron Paul." It is against the rules to directly endorse a candidate at the state conventions.

If there is anything that I have learned over the course of watching these state conventions online, it is that every speaker NEVER mentions the candidate they are behind.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

thanks for the post.
