Attention INDIANA residents who still want to become delegates! Don't know what to do? Here's what to do.

There may still be vacancies for you to become a delegate for the Indiana Republican State Convention in June. I've been helping people in my home state of Illinois: http://www.dailypaul.com/234993/attention-illinois-residents... and would like to do the same in other states, especially those that I heard the campaign hasn't done much in. Here's a simple to-do list on how you can become a delegate or alternate delegate if there are slots still available to do so.

Call your county chairman from the list provided below and follow these easy steps:

1) Ask if you can speak to someone regarding a question you have about the upcoming state convention in June.

2) say "Hi, I live in the xxxx county and was planning to attend the state convention as a guest, but was wondering if there are any vacancies available to become a delegate or alternate delegate." They will either answer with yes, no, or only alternates.

3) If they say yes or only alternates, ask what the person needs from you in order to do to become one.

4) Then do the obvious, give them what they need.

5) Ask: What do I need to bring with me to the convention to show that I am a delegate?

6) What's the best way to contact you if I think of any questions or have an issue in the future.

Be prepared to be asked why you're trying to become one so late in the game. I suggest saying establishment things like we need to get Obama out of the white house and that since you plan on going to the convention anyway that you thought you could do more if there was an opportunity. (BTW, it may be possible to go as a guest and get appointed as a delegate right there at the convention. I can't say for certain, but it IS POSSIBLE. Plus, the grassroots needs all the hands it can get.)

That's it. If you are still able to become a delegate that's how you do it. They'll have the information you need and those are the questions you should ask. Here is a list of the phone number you would need to call depending on what county you live in. I really tried my best, but I couldn't find all the numbers. Find your county and the number next to it is the one you need to call to ask the questions above:

If any of the numbers above are incorrect or not working for whatever reason, go here http://www.indgop.org/counties and click on your County. Then click "county directory" at the top and find your chairman or vice-chairman's phone number. Those are the ones you want.

I'll try to answer any questions you put in the comments section, but I'm dealing with multiple states now so don't feel like I'm ignoring you if I don't get back to you right away.

CALLS FOR POINT OF ORDER

DENIED!!

"He's this eccentric Ghandi-Like figure that you cant touch with the normal bribes that people respond to."

I just called in and boom...

Obviously I was tardy on hitting the Indiana deadline, and yesterday, I just called into the Indianapolis office, Marion county (3176358881 ext. 2) and asked if there were any slots open for the convention. I guess a lot of people who hit the deadline didn't pony up the cash required, which opened a few slots up.

I put my name/info in with the executive coordinator, and all I have to do is show up by 5pm tomorrow, 6/1/12, with 80 bucks, and my information...

My question is, now what? Could I enjoy the honor of being nominated to be a Paul supporter on the slate? Is there an Indiana thread where us Paul supporters are putting together a plan? Either way, any info would be much appreciated...

AWESOME!! you're the first

AWESOME!! you're the first person I know of in Indiana that my thread helped becoem a delegate. I'll see what I can do in finding you the proper contact info... btw, are you a delegate or alternate?

my pleasure, I did pretty much the same thing for IL (http://www.dailypaul.com/234993/attention-illinois-residents...), but have been getting so many questions that I felt I should make the next states more detailed.
