WHY Would Any Woman Vote For A Mormon? Article written in The Link Letter May 2012, a conservative journal of politics in Texas.
Mormonism teaches that there are 3 degrees of glory(Heavens). If one accomplishes enough good works in the Mormon Church.he can attain a place in the highest degree of heaven which is called the Celestial Kingdom. This is the only heaven where God resides. There, the "perfect Mormons" who have been obedient to the church and to the prophet,as well as have earned their way to heaven by good works, will become gods of their own heavenly kingdoms or planets. They will populate their planets by having eternal sex and bearing spirit children in order to build their kingdom for which they will reign over for "time and all eternity."
It is important to repeat that the female/wife will NOT be able to enter into the Celestial Kingdom unless her husband calls her into heaven. If he does not call her by her secret name, she will remain in the lower Mormon heavens or "degrees of glory" and will never be able to attain entrance into the Celestial Kingdom. As a further consequence, she will probably be separated from her earthly children in this imaginary hereafter as well.Again, this gives the male complete control over the wife's eternal destiny.
Upon death,if enough good works were not achieved, but the Mormon lived an adequate, although not exceptional life, the reward would be entrance into the Terrestrial Kingdom. This "second degree of glory" isn't as great as the Celestial Kingdom, but it's not too bad either.Plus, there's the possibility of earning your way out of there and moving up a notch to the third degree of glory/Celestial Kingdom after a period of time.
If a person performs really poorly and does not perform enough good works,he will end up in the "first degree of glory",the Terrestrial Kingdom. This is not a place of torment like Hell.In fact,Mormons rarely speak of Hell because they have their own system of glory set up.Their eternal system is is one based largely on works(or deeds). This is completely contrary to the Bible, which proclaims in Titus 3 versus 5-7:"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us,through the washing regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life"(NKJV)
According to the Scripture, our salvation and entrance into Heaven are based solely upon the unmerited, undeserving favor and grace of Jesus Christ and not upon our works.Ephesians further confirms this truth:"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves,it is the gift of God,not of works, lest anyone should boast."(Ephesians 2:8-9 NJKV)
