Ron Paul’s Final Money Bomb Fails To Break Million Mark – Why?
Submitted by LibertyChat on Mon, 05/21/2012 - 12:57http://libertychat.com/ron-pauls-final-money-bomb-fails-to-b...
One week following Jesse Benton’s now famous “we’re out, but not out” email, the Ron Paul campaign has failed to pass the million dollar mark with their latest money bomb. It was also dubbed the “last money bomb” for Ron Paul.
The usual pile of follow up emails requesting money went out. Three from John Tate, two from Rand Paul, two from Ron Paul & one from “Elizabeth”. Noticeably absent from the money request emails was Jesse Benton. It’s possible the campaign took notice of the not-so-friendly response to Jesse’s May 14th email.
To be fair, the drop in fundraising has been the trend as we get closer to the end of the primary process. It’s quite possible that Jesse’s email had little to do with the campaign’s inability to break the million mark this time around.
One might think however, dubbing the money bomb as the “last money bomb”, would inspire Ron Paul’s supporters to dig deep one last time.
Which leads us to our question of the day. Do you believe Jesse Benton’s May 14th email, resulted in the campaign’s inability to pass the million dollar mark for Ron Paul’s last money bomb?

PROBIBLY BECAUSE JUST LIKE LAST TIME
They didn't keep the ticker at the top of the front page long enough.
Some see things as they are and say why,but i dream things that never were and say why not. Robert F. Kennedy
The goal on the pledge website was $650,000 because of the email
and while we wanted to keep going once we exceeded it, a lot of people always thought of that as the goal.
I'm sure the email was part of it -- if only part of the reason the goal was lower to begin with.
Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul
There need not be a declared
There need not be a declared money bomb to donate. Feel free!
hey libertychat...
did you max out?
if not, there's you're answer pal.

Okay so here's the deal:
The point of the money bomb was because Ron Paul had asked through a series of robo-calls for donations to total $650,000. It didn't happen (he raised upwards of $250,000). Thus, the scaling-back. Then came the money bomb. Now we see Ron Paul making speeches at conventions. He's booking dates again. He heard us & he's back. He needed $650,000 and, suffice it to say, he's got it and for sure if there's ever a candidate on the face of this earth that will spend that money wisely, it is RON PAUL. So let's let this thread die already.
Well said

Not me
This isn't about Jesse.
When Ron Paul campaign accepts no corporate contributions, in a political race that's by, of, and for corporations, we all knew we were going to be underfunded by comparison.
Bashing Jesse is venting frustration that would be better placed helping rEVOLution activists making calls, posting signs, collecting funds to become delegates in a GOP that doesn't want them.
STAND WITH RAND 2016
Oh really...how dare you. You can't even raise a
$1.
Ah yes, the "why" question...
precisely the question the media never discusses while reporting on casualties of war. Or the endless spending / debt. Or the reason Ron Paul is winning.
Because he asked for 650,000
Because he asked for 650,000
YOU FORGOT TO COUNT THE 275,000 that came in before the letters
Ron Paul asked for money before the letters came out. I have a donation ticker that shows how much comes in daily. So before the letters came out he collected 275,000!!! So just because it does't shows on this ticker doesn't mean anything! We made it past a million!!! Do the math!! $ 275,000 + $826,700= 1,101,700.
Here is the link I have that shows daily money coming in to the Campaign: http://paul.depositwiz.com/
but the point of zeroing the counter is to start counting from 0
cash on hand ahead of time was already accounted for, thus does no good to add it to an additional request for more.

No, I got a phone call from The Man & donated a few days
before the money bomb. He didn't reach his goal of $650,000, thus the money bomb. Then, there was an additional email from him asking to donate to the money bomb & I believe those donations started the counter. I could be wrong.
There was a moneybomb?
Was this bomb using fed reserve notes? Pieces of paper bomb?

I wouldn't say we failed. The
I wouldn't say we failed. The point of a money bomb is to raise money for the campaign right? The goal was 650k which we passed. But then also didn't Peter Thiel just donate 2+million dollars to the campaign? Ohh yea that's right. :)
No Follow-up E-Mail from the Campaign after May 17th!!!
If the Official Campaign wants to reach $ 1 Million they need to ask and give their reason why...
It really is that simple.
Because Ron Paul
asked for 650k...in fact it went over the amount he wanted.

Actually, I think this one is
Actually, I think this one is kicking butt! We'll hit 1 mil. Wish they would replay the fundraising show that Super Dave and TMOT did - that helped raise some $$.
I gave twice - It hurt so good!! Failure? Look in the mirror
troll. When he asked the week before I gave big for me. When the next moneybomb came up did it again- What ever it takes!
Yes, "libertychat" has been attempting to create a downer

He asked for $650,000. So what is the problem?
We delivered.
Campaigns always low ball
Campaigns always low ball expectations. The campaign still did a great job at raising money this campaign, but the question was could they have broke the Million mark if not for the email?
The poll on the website is suggesting people think so

Didn't You State That Before?

If you are really a Ron Paul supporter
Then please remove that word "Fails" and re-word it.
This is certainly a negative title, and your being here only 6 days!
We did not fail, and it is still ticking away!

I think we did amazing!
RP said in his announcement all he needed to go on was $650K & last I saw it was just about $800K. Surpassed the goal & with so much support coming in now from the Liberty 4 All SuperPAC & others, I think the campaign is sitting pretty right now :) But I'm no expert...
