In the May 22 Arkansas and Kentucky Presidential Primaries, Dr. Paul saw his total votes, and vote share, substantially increase when compared with 2008:
2008: 10,983 (4.79% of vote)
2012: 20,264 (13.42% of vote)
84.50% increase in total votes, 180.17% increase in percentage of vote
2008: 13,427 (6.79% of vote)
2012: 22,071 (12.53% of vote)
64.38% increase in total votes, 84.54% increase in percentage of vote
In Kentucky CD-4, Liberty Candidate Thomas Massie received the GOP nomination for Congress with 44.85% of the vote in a multi-candidate field.
In Kentucky's 16th Representative District, Chris Hightower, who worked for the Rand Paul Senate campaign in 2010, received the GOP nomination for State Representative with 53.44% of the vote.
These results show that the Liberty Movement continues to gain momentum at the Presidential level, as well as downballot. Our future looks bright!
Thank you to the Liberty patriots in Arkansas and Kentucky who voted, and convinced others to vote, for Dr. Paul and our other Liberty candidates!
Also, thank you to all those here on DP who upvoted this thread and helped me to keep it bumped.
