The Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday moved forward with legislation to increase airline passenger security fees, beating back a GOP attempt to keep them at current levels.
The 2013 Homeland Security appropriations bill would increase one-way fees for passengers from $2.50 to $5 in order to close a budget shortfall at the Transportation Security Administration.

How about
we just fire TSA agents until there is no shortfall?
We never needed any of them anyway. Every one of them is a total waste at best.
I just don't get it:
Why are people still using these air lines?
If everyone just stopped flying, the airlines would suffer sooooo bad that something would get done to eliminate these things.

The usual pattern: first the feds create the
problem, then subsequent legislation makes it worse and ever more costly. The problem they create is never resolved.
