Why does the media black out Ron Paul?

There's this whole concept
There's this whole concept in Media Studies called "frame control".... frame control means you (google "who owns what" and "CJR" if you want to know in sickening detail who this you really is) frame the issues, meaning what is and what isn't allowed to be on the table for discussion. It's sort of like being Mr. Wizard and having the power to declare what is and what isn't real. Once everybody gets the distinction of Frame Control, as the media's most central covert agenda, Control The Frame translates into what the average pud is capable of imagining.... the Frame is like a hypnotic trance that says, Great Father allows you to imagine these things, Great Father will be angry in Li'l Pud imagines those things.... these things are safe ideas and OK to discuss, those things are taboo and must never be discussed.... so you get the mental scam here... you first have to infantalize your audience with illusions of being Omnipotent and Omniscient.... Bill O'Reilly is "framed" as the comforting, Great Father who knows all and smites the infidel and some such arglebargle, so Li'l Pud can REGESS into a state of hypnotized infantile dependency... sheesh... why bother thinking big painful thoughts when Great Father will do the thinking for you ?
No More Blackout
I think that part of my intrigue with Ron Paul is that he is the first politician who has told the truth. I felt like the reasons for going to war in Iraq were blacked out years ago. Maybe all Ron Paul supporters should put together a book, TV station, radio station, internet site, etc. to end BLACKOUT of the current truth/news.

Devon you state the opposite, that the media reflects the polls while the truth shows the opposite.
EX: Bush did a great Job using the WMD to create the public opinion he needed to invade Iraq. Notes show he mobilized troops almost a year before the invasion and used the media and facts to construct his premade agenda.

I don't listen to talk radio except for NPR and they never mention Ron Paul. Not even when it's pertinent. I've called up a few times (in November) and have told them about Ron Paul and they seemed to brush him off.
Anyone have any idea why a "public" radio station that, according to some, is a mouthpiece for the democratic party would black out Ron Paul? I think its mostly unbiased, but this has proved me wrong.

By not mentioning Ron Paul or pertinent information in the Morning news many people will not think or remember him as a candidate.
Presidential runs are popularity contest, many are clueless on each candidates platform or records.
Many get their news on these morning shows and off to work. They do not get a chance to peruse other news outlets.
Both the AZRepublic and local news stations have not mentioned Ron Paul's efforts or candidacy, and when they do it is like reporting on back ground noise. Strange people waving signs labeled RON PAUL with a misspelled revolution.

big media companies have no merit to the value they possess in a society of free press. this revolution is as much about the change in popular media as it is about change in economic policy. one-way media is dying because the internet has cut out the middle man: notice the writer's strike.
with this election, they are gripping onto relevance to save the system that has made them profitable. they justify marginalization by claiming polls influence coverage which is a self-fulfilling prophecy since coverage influences polls.
but this is the google ron paul revolution. and i don't see google crawling up under a rock any time soon.

I think that the Media Moguls must be exposed. It's going to get harder though when they own our TV stations, internet, newspapers, etc. Too few people have too much power. I can't believe that leaking nuclear secrets to numerous foreign gov'ts doesn't make news.

On the morning news shows here (At least here locally) when they mentioned the last nights results they listed Thomson @ 1% but had no mention of Ron Paul. Channel 10 Fox
They had the listings of each candidate on their total electoral wins and again had nothing on Ron Paul. Last I heard Ron Paul beat Thomson in Both IOWA, and NH. Thomson total (1 ) count.
I still do not know what they are since the news corrupted the true information. Do you?

But they show Thompson for the same reason the Iowa stories noted that Guiliani came in 6th. Because the media believes there are 5 candidates with a chance to win (ie, not Paul and Hunter) and they are only interested in reporting the horse race.
We have to understand how the media mentality works and use it to our advantage. Paul should play up any angle where he "hurts" another candidate, for instance. Talking heads like to talk about that. They don't like to talk about monetary policy.

And the national polling shows back them up on that. That's what they're looking at.

Advertisers don't like competition and NBC is owned by a war profiteer.
We need to educate and show the American public the people profitting off the war. Also should talk more about the men and women who have lost their lives in Iraq.
It's simple
First of all, he's hardly blacked out. He's get some coverage. But, the reason why he get less coverage than, say Romney, is simply because he's low in polls, especially national polls. As evidence that Paul is not being singled out for low coverage, look at Duncan Hunter. Look at Alan Keyes. They're running for president too, and you almost never hear about them on the news. It's because of their polling levels - not their message.
So don't believe in the conspiracy theories people will tell you here. Raise Paul's polling, and his coverage in the news will rise proportionately. It's that simple.
Get rid of polls and increase freedom
I have a land line and am a previous GOP voter and I haven't been polled in over 15 years. Polling is useless.

How come no one's polled me in the last 15 years!? Ron Paul's polls would be WAY higher if the media gave him the same coverage as all of the candidates! Then more Americans would know about him. I got sick of the media just showing Hillary and Giuliani last Sept. so went to the internet to check out ALL of the candidates for myself. More coverage is given to Clinton's tears than the 20 million raised by Ron Paul-- something is wrong!!

The probability is that you're not going to be polled. Polls are conduced on a SAMPLE, not the whole population. The chances you're going to find yourself in a sample are not that great. I've been polled once. And, please don't say the polls are wrong. They've been proven right in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Some of them even OVERESTIMATED the votes Paul would get.
If Paul's millions are not raising his polling, look at the real reason. It's not because of the "MSM" or poll "manipulation." It's because of Kent Snyder and Lew Moore, the campaign managers. They don't know how to use the money effectively. They don't know how to market a candidate.

Our media absolutely DOES NOT do the job it's supposed to. Look at the recent FBI whistleblower speaking out on the leaking of nuclear secrets to numerous foreign governments. This is reported internationally but NOT IN THE UNITED STATES.

Fundraising
Paul's fundraising was announced loud and clear on all the news outlets, so there's nothing to complain about there. That was legitimately notable news. Has it translated into more than single digit polling nationally? No. Therefore, his coverage in the news is not going to be very high. And, he only came in 5th in New Hampshire. So, the fundraising was not a good predictor of success anyway. It didn't raise his polling or votes by much. Paul is not being singled out for his message or threat to "the elites" or other such nonsense. Where is talk of Hunter and Keyes? Are "the elites" or the "MSM" "silencing" them? Is it their message? No. It's the polling.
You need to face reality. Some of you supporters have whipped yourselves up into a frenzy of conspiracies.

So you are generally ok with the media having absolutely ZERO understanding of the principles of our country? They black out this guy, plain and simple.
I have talked to people who could generally care less about Paul and they agree with me that he gets ZERO face time and it seems kind of strange given what they have heard of him through other means.

Keep educating me and America about these 25 or so powerful people who are in that much control of the media and all info we receive! We should have all their names and pictures and info in our kids' classrooms and books so they can understand the truth of America and work towards freedom.
