I think Romney, Rand and Ron have struck a deal. Heres why...Submitted by Mittromneyisaweasle on Sat, 05/26/2012 - 16:00
Rand had a secret meeting with Romney on wednesday according to an article today:
This is significant because that same day he went on T.V. basically saying he would support Romney as the nominee and praising him as a guy who could turn the economy around:
I have read several articles lately that says Romney and his staff are worried that Rand will run against Romney for the nomination in 2016 if he wins this year. Added to the fact that Romney and Ron are known to be on friendly terms, I believe a deal has been struck. Those that believe Ron is above such things are fooling themselves. A deal can made without Ron disregarding his principles. I deal can be made by someone who is desperate (Romney) and is willing to compromise with the other person. If Romney does not get over this voter antipathy from many Conservatives, tea partiers, and the growing libertarian wing of the party by election day. Which he won't, then he will probably lose. Thus Romney is willing to do anything to win it and knows Rand can give him that edge.
Rand Paul will probably become V.P. and Ron will likely become Treasury Secretary. Romney will agree to many thing like an audit of the Fed, Fort Knox, etc. and a decrease in military and defense spending among many other things. The appointing of Ron Paul approved individuals to important government posts etc. If Romney does not go along with many of these things then he knows he will not win reelection in 2016 and that Rand could run against him He's literally already a slave to us guys. We will in many ways own him for 4 or 5 years if I am right.
Also for those that don't think the Vice Presidential spot is an important position are not being truthful. They can vote when the vote is tied in the senate and can preside over the senate and in practice can influence votes that come onto the floor and delay bills that are unfavorable to them. They also enjoy a high profile and if they run for President after serving as V.P. they always get a lot of votes due to name recognition. Thus if Rand's V.P. he can likely be a frontrunner for the Republican nomination for the presidency in the years to come. And then we could finally have a libertarian in the White House!
