He's facing two Republican opponents: Richard Mack and Richard Morgan. (Mack as most of us know, is a former Sheriff from Arizona and Second Amendment activist. Morgan is a small business owner and internet entrepreneur.) If Smith fails to get more than 50% of the vote, he will face a runoff.
The primary is open to Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and other party members.
