OMG Have you heard the latest?????
Is this the Ron Paul pansy root campaign, or the Ron Paul grass roots campaign? I have heard enough of the whining and crying for lower than expected finishes, and I am here to say BUCK UP or SHUT UP!
Thank god our Forefathers didn’t decide after the first three battles to cry and go home leaving the inevitable defeat, while the people sat on their couches griping about taxes and a police state. Buck up Ron Paul supporters and head the call! I realize that there are many first timers in the political arena here, but somebody has to say it, you are pansies and perhaps politics is not your game! If so, please take a seat on the can’t hack it bench and let the real patriotic men and women run this monster.
I held my tongue after Iowa, after a day of whining and crying here, I sat and watched in amazement as Ron Paul captured over11,000 votes and 17,000 votes in NH, and I still come here and read the crying and the pointless, hopeless, mindless posts about how we didn’t win and all this CRAP! We are three states into a 50 game run, and already things didn’t meet a persons expectation, so immediately the blame game goes every direction from voter fraud to having the nerve to bad mouth those that worked their asses off in Iowa and New Hampshire to get the 10% and 8% Paul received. These people are and will be remembered as the true American patriots when the history of this election cycle comes full circle, not the arm chair quarterbacks who sat back and judged, overlooking the hard work and time put into these two states.
I would like to put a couple of things into perspective, first Iowa is farm country and many of these farmers enjoy the measly subsidies that the .gov might give them, which Ron is against, as most of these funds go to .gov farms and the little man is basically forgotten, I am also not sure how much of a factor the illegal issue is there or in NH for that matter. Bottom line Ron had 11,817 votes there, and 11,000 plus people think like you and I do and are focused on a goal, that goal is freedom and liberty. In New Hampshire Ron Paul had over 17,000 total votes, again 17,000 like minded people went to the polls in his support. In retrospect if you take the percentages of the two states you come close to 20% of the voting public of Iowa and New Hampshire or 28,000 people voted for Ron Paul; and like us, wanted to see him win. This in NO SMALL THING!
So for the faint of heart perhaps politics is not your game, and if you were one of the people that posted “What happened in New Hampshire?” or “ conspiracy this, that, or the other”, then you are more of a problem than a solution. These numbers are INCREDIBLE by any standard and the Revolution is being noted by the powers that be as a MOVEMENT towards liberty, and me thinks they don’t like it much.
I do not want to disenchant anyone or give anyone false hopes of an inevitable Ron Paul victory nation wide, and perhaps we will end up loosing miserably in the nation wide contest, but to throw up your arms, whine, and declare defeat is not what any grass roots anything is about. It is about time, patients, working together, and focusing on the common goal, or in our case the common good. So if you are disenchanted by the way things are going then please go back to pogo and gripe in the Texas holdem chat room, but do not bring it here as this site has been reserved for true hard working, hard fighting, and determined, positive patriots from every walk of life, race, religion, and social background. We do not need to hear how upset you are with the results, or how the campaign doesn’t know what they are doing. It is up to us to plant the seeds of freedom in the minds of Americans from coast to coast. I call upon all patriots of these United States to stand strong and together, work hard and spread the word, and if you feel that you are one person and cant make a difference then please Google “great grass roots in America” and see how many of those people threw their arms up, cried, and went home with their tales tucked between their legs, and you will see that there is more to it than updating the daily Paul every 15 minutes, and because you are informed on what is going on you feel you have contributed enough to bitch about results in a state that you yourself have probably never visited.
In closing I would like to add that if you do the math and the average person gave $50.00, then the votes Ron Paul has received is only 1.5 million of his 4th quarter earnings, so there are many more of us out there, and as long as we keep him in the money he can go on to spread the words of Peace, Liberty, and Freedom from coast to coast. I for one plan to donate, follow, support, cheer, and honor Ron Paul for his dignity, and integrity, and what he or someone likeminded individual could bring to this country. If he is not the nominee I pledge today to either write him in, or vote for him should he run third party. This at the very least will keep one side of tyrants out of office and my conscience will be clear knowing that I voted for a better tomorrow. I would also like to mention the effect of positive energy or karma as the Daily Paul has had a flush of karma this week, I today also declare I will not post anything else negative, or sway away from the subject of getting Dr. Paul elected or at the very least heard, I plan on posting POSITIVE comments and any and all titles that insinuate negativity I will refuse to open as we must build back our pre Iowa mindset and go forward with nothing but positive energy.
**Francis Scott Key sat and watched from a distance the attack on Fort Henry. The admiral of the British fleet came to shore and Scott spoke to him, the Admiral warned that if they did not surrender, they would feel the full force of the British fleet that night. Night fell and the British fleet was upon the fort and in the cover of fog they moved in to pound it for some twenty five hours, Scott recalled that there were so many cannons blasting for hours you could not distinguish a single shot from the massive single sound of blasts coming from the shoreline. The next day the admiral came to the shores and warned that if they did not surrender by nightfall the attack would be even worse, but if before dark they took down the American flag they would know that they had surrendered, Scott took this to the people inside the fort and reported to the admiral “They said that they would rather die on their feet, then live on their knees”. The Admiral told Scott that all guns would be pointed at the location where the flagpole held old glory high above the ground and that if the people would not take it down then their guns would knock it down. Night fall came, and as promised the guns began to roar, this night would see a much longer concentrated attack on the fort and the hill where the flag was planted. As day break fell and the ships had pulled out in retreat due to their near defeat in Baltimore, Francis Scott walked into the decimated fort as the people came out from bunkers where they had stayed for the 25 hour onslaught. He noticed that the flag was still standing, but how? The people in the fort told him that the flag was knocked down throughout the night many, many times, but even under the heaviest fire men ran out to stand her up again and again, life after life to ensure that she would be flying come morning light. Many had died to ensure that old glory would be dancing in the wind as it stood; much like Dr. Paul, for freedom, liberty, and the American way.
So gear up as it is 4th and long and were going for the hail Mary, Those that want to give up the fight go ahead, and leave quietly, for the rest of us this game has just began!
God Bless Ron Paul and his patriotic supporters
And God Bless America!

In response to the percentages...
To the mathematical facts of this post I know exactly what you are saying, however; it is hard to separate caucus totals and delegates to cold hard votes numbers, there is actually no way to tally the total number of votes on both sides. You are correct to say that this is bad math, but derived from bad data to begin with. So let me re-phrase this for all. Ron
Paul received 18% of the non Democratic Party votes as a total for both New Hampshire and Iowa, which to me is perty darned good from a no named libertarian!

My DH and I had a date night last night by going to a local Meet-Up meeting and we just feel like it is so much more 'fun' than anything else! There is no use for people getting frustrated when things do not appear to be working - we are changing the American dialog and having fun at the same time. Thank you so much for being a part of it!

Give Up??? What does that have to do with it???
I am new to posting, but have been reading this site for months. I had to respond to this post, as it made no sense to me at all.
You are in the first quarter of one of the finals in the NBA. A few minutes into the game, you discover that someone wants the other team to win, as they have attached some sort of 'cheating' device that can be used remotely. When this device is activated, you must hit the basket dead center or the ball simply bounces away. Upon discovery of this, what do you do? Tell your team to stop whining and 'buck it up' and keep trying, or do you stop the game and demand that the device be removed? It is obvious that if you 'buck it up', then the device will be used until halftime when you change ends. Does it make any sense not to confront the issue, making sure that everyone knows what is going on???? By halftime, it will be too late to recover and get back into the game!!!

We need to ensure fair elections
It's not really important whether new hampshire was fixed or not, who cares if he came in fifth or third? He wasn't even that worried about Iowa OR New Hampshire in the first place! We need to be looking forward and planning to ensure that all the future primaries are conducted in a fair and open manner and that there is no doubt about their authenticity. If we spend all our time worrying about New Hampshire, then we won't have time to concentrate on the next elections and we will be left scratching our heads and wondering whether THEY were fixed as well! I agree with the poster here that we need to stay positive and work harder. Remember, the numbers the media spouts don't matter, we know that Ron Paul should have gotten 15% in New Hampshire, and that means that his support is growing at exactly the rate that he wants it to, they just don't want us to know that! Don't fall for their mind games, just realize that whether they counted the votes right or not, we GOT the votes, and that means that we can continue to get them in the future!
Get yer rear end in a nursing home...
and do it!
Whinning won't do it, a fist full of slim jims in the old folks home will!
Now get busy!
Right on !
Mount up, and head for the sound of the cannons or get out of the way!
Do you all know how
Do you all know how Washington won the Revolutionary War? He ran away from the British FOR YEARS, knowing that avoiding the early fights he couldn't win would allow his army to live to fight another day, gain momentum, and gain support. Do you think the soldiers could have survived Valley Forge without resolve?
See any correlation?
thanks. it takes almost
thanks. it takes almost 1,200 delegates to win. romney has 30. THIRTY. i actually avoided this site ALL DAY because i knew i would see forum topics like "NOW WHAT?" and "WHEN'S RP GOING TO QUIT?" Buck up!
Great post and right on
Great post and right on target! Can't believe so many here are getting sucked into the distraction and whining about the votes!!! That is NOT priority right now. Time to toughen up as the battle will get much harder. This round simply good training.
Manipulated or mishandled, not rigged
I think it's naiive to think that there's is nothing suspicious about installing these proprietary machines from a hand picked company to install an unconstitutional vote count method that smacks far more of privacy, secrecy and cloak and dagger than it does of honesty and transparency.
I'm not going to spout about the CFR and so on, but it's pretty clear to see that the powers that be anoint their chosen few and then push them towards the finish line - however big or small that 'push' may actually be. These machines make it easy to manipulate the vote counts - strip some votes here add some there make a few disappear entirely. The argument should surely be: why use machines for this? Why make it secretive? Why allow the question at all? The votes are handled precinct by precinct then reported - the manpower is already there. Why not do what we've always done before and wait a day for the results to be finalised?
It's most likely unlawful, it's certainly unconstitutional and it stinks.

Live Free or Die - Amen to that
This could have not been better written.
I say this as I've been home with my wife for 30 hours since having returned from Operation Live Free or Die in NH. We were married on Christmas Day as a surprise to our family and never intended on honeymooning. A meetup group Saturday meeting in Fort Worth, Texas changed all that. We immediately booked flights to Manchester via Chicago, reserved a car, and found a spot of floor to sleep on in one of the 14 OLFD houses - this one out of Gilford. Frank, our house captain, was the greatest. Everyone we met were the greatest people on earth. You couldn't ask for a better experience. You couldn't BUY yourself the time. Life affords this for you and you better wake up and take your chances before you have none like them. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon. Honeymoon for Paul. I'll do it all over again in a heart beat.
Thanks to all of the people who volunteered in any and every state, we are forcing to the surface the issues that touch us all and without exception.
You get off your faces and you get out there!!!!!!!!!!
Too soon to whine and cry
Rudy Ghouliani did not spend a fortune in NH because he is saving his time and money for the states that outnumber the delegates 2 to 1. Perhaps Ron Paul is doing the same.
Too soon to whine and cry about a loss in NH which is an obvious Democratic rich state.
hmm ok thats logical
But is this logical? Ron Paul has massive campaign buildup, and support from the grassroots with huge numbers, a superior message, maximum effort from all involved, more boots on the ground, more advertising, a more receptive constituency of independent voters in NH, everything on our side and yet we come in behind this criminal. No! It doesn't seem reasonable and I for one will never relent! This is total bullshit folks we did do better we did surpass the pundits expectations we succeeded and they flat out stole it from us. All our efforts, all our blood sweat and tears, gone in an instant. Months of hard work. This is an American tragedy! Another case of our voice being discarded. This goes beyond Ron Paul this is about right and wrong, this is about our freedoms being taken from us right out from under our nose and nobody seems to care we just move on like good little servants. I am sick to my stomach with these results, Huckabee? in NH huh? are you kidding me? Do you seriously expect me to believe this fraud, this media creation had more support that Dr. Paul? NO WAY! We need to organize an affidavit gathering of every vote submitted by known Ron Paul electors and take these criminals to task. Charge them under the R.I.C.O. statutes.
We need to make a stand and this is the state and this is the time because the truth is we did far better than these results have indicated.

You are naive
Gee, vote count fraud has never happened before in an election. It certainly can't be happening now. There's no corruption in government, everyone is so honest. They're not using Diebold; they're counting them all by hand in front of the voters...
Wake up. Stand up for yourself. Open your eyes.
That's right , its voter fraud.
Never mind the votes matched the polls in two seperate states.
It's all a conspiracy against YOU.
lol
You people amuse me. I'm not sure why a very rational Ron Paul attracts people like you.
If thats the case
and we are of no consequence to whomever you support then why do you come here to spy or subvert this movement? I don't have time to waste going to the rudy or romney sites or the hucks or other crap sites to spy because our message is superior to that of other campaigns. You obviously are a paid employee of someone to come after campaigns that have superior forces than yours. NICE TRY SHILL NOW BEAT IT! or stick around and see what a real grassroots effort looks like. I realize your candidates forums are empty so you may stick around and co-opt our ideas but you can never duplicate our level of support because your employers message is inferior to Dr. Paul's message of freedom, liberty and personal responsibility.
So eat that bitch aka (davidg11)

Actually, the votes and
Actually, the votes and polls did NOT match in New Hampshire.
Japanese ex
I don't suppose too many on here will remember the japanese invasion
of the 70's. Bear with me on this......
How we scoffed at those 'silly little civics and toyotas. Pathetic I wouldn't be seen dead in one of those. Oh yeah,- remember hitachi, aiwa. Silly names eh? Pah.
What happened there was that folk took the first step one by one at great risk at looking 'kooks' but realised that they were being sold a good product. Yeah they were cheap, probebly, but so is supporting Ron Paul but his value will go up and up. Brave people those jap car salesmen were. The message is the same though. Good product, you see what you get, it drives well and it gets better over time with endorsements and recommendation.
(So if anyone can improve on this with a better analogy then please consider a similar selling tool)
'I always thank of all you canvassors and precinct leaders and delegates who were at the front line and caucuses.
Good luck out there &Thank you. You're a gift.
Optimism doesn't win elections, VOTES DO
You can cheerlead all you want but when Ron polls 7% in mid November in New Hampshire and then 2 months later the vote comes in at 7.6%. Guess what?
There's a problem with people understanding or receiving the message.
Ron's message can be simplified for the general electorate. But Ron needs to be coached to focus on the general electorate positions he has:
ID card, immigration, taxes, spending, foreign policy
And the electorate receiving the message is the campaign's purpose. That's why we give them $20 million. Not to piss away. TO USE EFFECTIVELY.
We are the campaign's shareholders and they should be accountable as company officers. If they FAIL to provide for our investment, FIRE THEM and hire someone more experienced who CAN deliver the message more effectively.
The Crying is over DIEBOLD vote manipulation.
We need to do more than just fight.
We need appreciate more clearly just what it is that we're up against.
Ron Paul got a lot more votes than just 8% on Tuesday.
The DIEBOLD machine use in NH has had a prior history of being rigged, and we saw one clearly documented example yesterday where the Town Clerk for Sutton, NH confirmed that 31 people tried to vote for Ron Paul from a manual inspection -- yet the "offfical" Sutton, NH Ron Paul count tabulated was 0.
Now, apply this methodogy across multiple towns and counties all across NH. Houston we've got a problem. A big, big problem.
Ron Paul could have easily got 15%-20% of the votes or maybe more.
The truth is, we have no way anymore of even measuring Ron Paul's strength if we do not have open, end-to-end, transparent Elections that are verifiable.
The Country that lectures the rest of the World about 'democracy' and 'freedom', has privatized, unverifiable, tamperable machines deciding the results of elections year after year with repeatedly proven erroneous results (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006), and yet this corruption is allowed to stand?
A manual recount of NH must be done.
The Ron Paul movement is going to go nowhere here if corruptible machines remain the judge & jury of who wins elections.
Without honest elections, our fight is completely in vain.
We know from Sutton NH, that we didn't get that and we don't have it.
NH must be recounted by hand.
Before we ever focus on the Federal Reserve, the Occupation, or the IRS, we must first focus squarely on open, paper-ballot based Elections, where the "official" count is the manual hand count.
Without that, nothing else matters.
Are you an idiot?
Or just a 9-11 truther nut?
If the vote were rigged, Giuliani would have creamed Huckabee.
Get a grip. No one is toying with the votes to put Giuliani above Ron Paul.
The VOTES match THE POLLS.
Get it yet?
The polls have been right in Iowa and New Hampshire. The votes have followed the polls. If Ron polled at 15% and then he only got 7.6% then maybe I'd believe your conspiracy theories. When Ron polls at 8% and gets 8%. You have no argument.
Your the idiot davidg
Why are you here? who are you? which candidate do you support? please enlighten the rest of the class.

I have to admit the "you're an idiot" argument does provide
irrefutable evidence supporting the official 911 story.
They feed us the polls results, then they feed us the "Trust Me" election model, then the numbers match, and you're satisfied?
No wonder the "You're an idiot" argument is all the evidence you need.
With a population like that, why wouldn't they rig the election? They're just too lazy?
Actually, the polls did not
Actually, the polls did not match the votes in New Hampshire. The last 3 polls I saw had Paul at 11%, 11% and 9%... Not a huge difference, but when you consider that the last poll had Giulianni at 4% that is a large enough difference to at least create some speculation.
Maybe You Shouldn't Use That Word
Vote RON PAUL 2008
_____________
Blatant manipulation is not the style of the corrupt that have us by the -- (throat) // (others might choose another part of anatomy) -- but pushing GIULIANI over HUCKABEE might have caused certain eyebrows to raise in suspicion of wrongdoings.
Still he (GIULIANI) is obviously one of their favorites, he's on all the debates // He was on Fox but our man our hero was excluded because there wasn't enough room around the table. Give us all a break will you please with that horsesh*t.
So, instead, THEY push him above our hero our man (RON PAUL) // no one would question that (certainly not you) // But I question that, others are questioning that and there seems to be fraud already recognized for what it is.
Vote RON PAUL 2008
PLEASE watch your facts.
PLEASE watch your facts.
In your haste to get your point across - please don't forget to do proper mathematics - averaging the results of two states is not an additive alone, it is additive with a divisor of 2, thus 20% /2 = 10% approximately. See your statement below.
You wrote, "In retrospect if you take the percentages of the two states you come close to 20% of the voting public of Iowa and New Hampshire or 28,000 people voted for Ron Paul; and like us, wanted to see him win. "
--- In addition this number is only of the voting Republicans, not the voting public as a whole which includes all of the others who voted in the Democrat selection process. So, a truer statement is -- ....close to approximately 10% of the voting Republicans of Iowa and New Hampshire....
Is this being too picky to point out math errors? I hope not, since a quick reading of a statistical summary of events are supposed to give the reader an accurate picture of what is the truth of the event. Good decisions can only be based on accurate information else garbage in makes garbage out.

Great post...
Thank you... At the same time though, our forefathers were known to change tactics and strategy. In a small little way, I believe this is why they were brilliant.
