The chance of there being

The chance of there being another debate is ZERO. Not 0.000001%. ZERO. Abso0lute zero.

For many reasons...

1. Ron Paul has not asked for one and has expressed NO interest in having one. Becuase he knows that he agreed to the debate schedule months ago, and trying to go back on that agreement would make HIM look bad (like a flip flopper) and would not hurt Romney at all.
2. Romney will not do it. And it would nuot hurt him AT ALL to say no. The soonest a debate could happen would be AFTER California votes. Meaning there would be ONE state (one that Romney will win handily) left to vote.
3. No network would cover it.
4. NO ONE wants it but Ron Paul supporters. Not Romney. Not Ron Paul. Not the networks, and not the GOP. And no...don't embarrass yourself by saying that the Texas GOP wants one. They don't. They DID want a debate. A 4 way debate befor Santorum and Gingrich dropped out. Once Santorum dropped out, they no longer wanted one.
5. This petition will get ZERO press. Even if 7 billion people signed it, no one would talk about it.

So...since it has been established that it will NOT happen, yes...it IS a waste of time to sign this, unless youplace ZERO value on your life/time. Even 5 seconds wasted for a ZERO possibility is a waste of time. And every one of you knows damn well that you have spent way more than that trying to get this to happen even thoguh...again...there is a ZERO chance.

The funny thing is...if it were ever to have a chance of happening
(which it doesn't), then your petition should be to Ron Paul, not Romney. HE is the first one you would have to get on board, and he is not. He is not going to ask becuase it would hurt his image.

Yet Rmoney knows it has no benefit for him. As well, Rmoney knows it would surely benefit Dr. Paul. But then again Dr. Paul always challenging him in a polite and respectful way might be a useful method that prompts a debate.

For a debate to happen

Ron Paul himself has to challenge him. Every interview and speech he does from here on out has to include a challenge to romney to debate him. I signed the petition but i doubt it will do anything to sway romney.

It's fun to dream

But it's never going to happen. Why would Romney ever want to risk giving up the perception that he is the presumptive nominee? It would be career suicide and one of the most bizarre events ever to take place in politics. There is zero benefit, all risk, no reward. No one, and I mean no one in the Romney camp would ever let this happen.

Now back to focusing on the important things like winning delegates. Trust me, when we get to a brokered convention, the Romney-Paul debate will be epic.

I'm not sure we will get to a brokered convention. I'm waiting to see Romney disqualified or forfeit entire state nominations due to corruption. I wouldn't be suprised to see Ron Paul win on the first ballot.

Why bother?

I don't know who will ever read this petition, but you can bet that a couple of thousand signatures is surely not going to suddenly turn Romney suicidal, which he would surely have to be to debate Ron Paul. It's just a waste of time and effort.

I have no idea

why you believe this is a worthwhile way to spend your time. Do you honestly believe that Romney will agree to a debate? What possible reason would he have to do so? For all intents and purposes, as far as the majority of Americans are concerned he will be the Republican nominee. There is ZERO value for him in debating Paul.

This Petition and Pressure Put On Romney to Have A Debate Can

happen. If Romney wants to be president, he needs to show the American people that he can go head to head in a debate with Ron Paul. Americans deserve to know the difference between these two candidates. What are you afraid of Romney, that Americans will see Ron Paul should be the next president? The campaign and Ron Paul should be asking for a debate too. Air commercials in CA and TX to debate as well. Then let the voters decide who they will vote for at the polls when they hear Mitt wouldn't debate Ron.

Only Romney could lose this debate, and only Paul will benefit. It's hard to debate THE FACTS.
