Pat Buchanan: Bill Kristol Brags About Purging Ron Paul Types From GOP

Trotskyite Kristol brags about neocons expelling the Buchanan/Ron Paul types and even does some revisionist history on PJB third party run in 2000 (a campaign I was a part of)

“At B’nai Jeshurun,” writes Weiss, “Kristol admitted to playing a role in expelling members of the Republican Party he does not agree with.” These are Republicans you had to “repudiate,” said Kristol, people “of whom I disapprove so much that I won’t appear with them.”

“I’ve encouraged that they be expelled or not welcomed into the Republican Party. I’d be happy if Ron Paul left. I was very happy when Pat Buchanan was allowed — really encouraged … by George Bush … to go off and run as a third-party candidate.”

I originally commented on Pat and tariffs, I did not mean to have an ugly argument over the merits of tariffs, but was commenting on what I regarded as unfortunate, that someone as good as Pat is seemingly letting an issue that pails in comparison to the other issues facing us consume his thinking too much, aside from this recent article. Let's not do the same here. My own take on tariffs is that, like the Federalist Papers said, they are less dangerous to liberty than an excise tax. Yet when overtly protectionist, they can be dangerous to freedom.

Tariffs boost free trade, Subsidies are protectionist

You are closer to the truth than atticus.

I am

Thinking about it. Ron Paul=No UN, no massive spending, free trade, peace

Romney=Massive spending, UN, constant overseas involvement, tariffs, possibly pro Roe V Wade, he has made no promises to appoint justices that will overturn this power grab that legalized murder, an issue that should be left up to the states either way.

Who is the logical choice for someone like Pat? The only thing Romney and Pat agree on are tariffs and any gain in the US manufactoring is outweighed by massive spending.

Bill Kristol is for Open Borders, All Neocons are

Bill Kristol, neocons and Left wing Libertarians have one thing in common.

Destroy America with mass immigration. Annihilate America. make it 3rd world full of proles.

22% unemployment. Still more immigration. Welfare state expanding. Still more immigration. Libertarians have not won ever in non-white districts. Still more immigration.

Libertarians cut the tree on which they sit. They are suicidal.

We need true libertarians, not ones indoctrinated by MSM immigration propaganda.

Missing some information

Libertarians believe that if you do away with all the social programs then no one would want to come here because there would be no free ride. In that scenario, there would be no need to close the borders. I see their view as somewhat utopian, too bad there always seems to be a serpent in the garden. In any case, they shouldn't be lumped in with liberals. I'm just sayin...

Just like his dad

Bill Kristol is nothing more than an insecure fear-monger with his nose up the arse of special interests. He frequently wishes the destruction or demise of those who disagree with his views. He does not do well with debate on strong ideas in a public forum.

Calling Kristol a weasel would be an insult to small critters everywhere.

Worth revisiting: Video - Buchanan on Paul

This is the document that Ron Paul forced the Fed to submit (links to pg 144 where you can see where $16 trillion of newly 'printed' money went: http://www.scribd.com/doc/60553686/GAO-Fed-Investigation#out...

Then again

What else does one expect from the son of neocon icon Irving Kristol?

For The Power of The Republic!

The Neoconservatives WANT us to leave the Republican

Party and never come back. If we really want to turn this country around, regardless of who gets nominated this year and whom we vote for in the presidential election in November, we HAVE to stay active in the Republican Party. We can learn a lot about patience from the Neocons. There was a time when they were in the minority in the GOP. Through patient pursuance of their goals and agenda, they managed to turn the grassroots Republican base in their favor. That is the only way we are going to be successful in taking over the Republican Party and becoming the "establishment". Give the Neocons a dose of their own medicine. Get involved, educate, and whatever you do NEVER abandon the GOP because the moment you do, you surrender to the Neoconservatives.

Everything Bill Kristol says is completely devoid.....

of any value whatsoever. What does one say to or how does one respond to the individual who knows all there is to know. In ancient times, he would have been one of the powerful GODS. Though more than likely, he considers himself one of those very GODS Today (2012).

Remember, Bill Kristol is

Remember, Bill Kristol is just like Mark Levin and it is absolutely a waste of time responding or acknowledging him.

Remember, he only has one vote, and we will swamp his "party" so that the drivel he promotes is drowned all the way through the gates of hell where it belongs.

Levin the loser!

That guy makes my blood boil, with the whiny wail of voice he has. Instead of putting a bag on his head, he needs to stuff his skirt his mouth!

Sorry for the stereotype

But Levin is a card carrying Jew who would love nothing more than America's annexation to Israel.

Stick to hosting the Oscars, Billy Kristol...

what? Wrong guy?

I guess that's why no one's laughing...

Maybe I'll stay?!

As a blue republican, It was always my plan to leave the GOP as soon as the California primary was over. Neo-con warmongers make me sick! Associating myself with them has been something I've done very reluctantly in order to vote for RP. After reading about this Kristol guy bragging about "purging the GOP" of people like me...well, it actually makes me wanna stick around! Maybe I'll stay in the republican party after all? I could research local senate and congressional candidates in order to get fiscally conservative, liberty minded individuals elected. I also plan on using social media to expose the ones that vote to erode the constitution...

Please stay

We need to take over the party. I have been a republican my whole life and have despised neocons the entire time. However, the democrats are not any different...they just whitewash it with bs...

The Republican party was once the party for peace and sanity. It needs to be again. If everyone just leaves, then its all for naught. Stay with me.

Good spirit; we have to stay in the fight to get the

job done.

I hate that guy.

I just edited his wilkopedia page

To reflect his attitude towards Paul and us, and his attitude towards anyone questioning funding Israel.

Made my day, thanks.

LOL good stuff. I mean, even

LOL good stuff. I mean, even a Bill Kristol supporter can't argue with this: Kristol is a harsh critique of Texas congressman and presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul-(R)and his supporters, he has been quoted as stating that he "would be happy if Paul ( and his supporters) were purged from the GOP".* He is a sharp critique of anyone who questions the distributions of taxpayer money to Israel.

Apparently one only needs to support Israel to be considered a conservative in todays GOP.

Clueless Neocon Krystal

Read page 3 of "The Revolution: A Manifesto" by Ron Paul

"When Republicans won a massive off-year election victory in 1994, neoconservative Bill Kristol immediately urged them not to do anything drastic but to wait until the Republicans took the White House in 1996. Well, the Republicans didn't take the White House in 1996, so nothing ever got done. Instead the Republican leadership urged the freshman congressmen to focus on a toothless, soporific agenda called the Contract with America that was boldly touted as a major overhaul of the federal government. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The Contract with America was typical of what I have just described: no fundamental questions ever arised, and even supposedly radical and revolutionary measures turn out to be modest and safe. In fact, the Brookings Instituion in effect said that if this is what conservatives consider revolutionary, then the have basically conceeded defeat."

Way to go Billy, you're so smart and forward looking. Typical, go along get along type of approach. I love how this has been left out of his so-called credentials. This is exactly what is wrong with the Republican party.
