Voted for Addison...but now it's time to get Cruz in the Senate. Lets do this!
Submitted by gizzy on Wed, 05/30/2012 - 08:03I voted first for Glenn Addison since he was the candidate who most mirrored the movement, and he also supported Ron Paul vocally, rather than say "i support whoever is the nominee". But, now that the race has gone to a runoff between Cruz & Dewhurst I think we need to get behind Cruz & get him in the senate. Sure, he's not as in line with the movement as Addison, but he's a hell of a lot better than Dewhurst. So what do you say DP peoples? Let's keep the movement going by slaying the establishment people one by one!
Also...huge props to my personal congressman & avid Ron Paul supporter David Simpson! I'm extremely happy to see my fellow east texans saw past Tommy Merritt's smear campaign & gave the rEVOLution's own Mr. Simpson 2 more years in congress! Can't lie...i was affraid Merritt would pull it out because he spent a ton on signs & mail. Honestly, i think all the negative mail screwed him in the end. Made him look desperate. Anyhow...thanks to all East Texans who came out & voted for our guy in Mr. Simpson!

It's gonna be tough
but Cruz supporters are more enthusiastic. Cruz closed the gap a lot on election day.
In my county he closed on dewhurst by 3 points, overall in the state he closed in 5% in a head to head match-up.

I'll vote for him now
I think his supporters will come out and Dewhurst's will stay home.
All Cruz needs to do
All Cruz needs to do is say he will follow the CONSTITUTION as written up and down regardless of public or party consequences and that his personal believes or associations don’t matter when it comes to legislation like Paul has done for 30+yrs. If he openly took that stance and would hold firm to it he would get my vote, I would max out immediately on financial support, petition the public through advertisement and my employees to support Cruz, etc. Until that time I will focus on other candidates down the totem pole.
