Who hath ears to hear, let him hear...

3. Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

4. And when the farmer sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured them up:

5-6. Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and quickly they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

7. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

8. But others fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, some a hundredfold.

9. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

-Matthew 13: 3-9 (KJV)

Some sowed doubt, some sowed fear...

After seeing multiple listings of this bogus 'where is Ron Paul' notion, I realized another interpretation of this parable:

'The sowers went out to their fields,

Some sowed doubt, and fell away to the roadside.

Some sowed fear, and these ran away when they saw light of truth.

Some sowed hatred, and choked themselves on their own words.

Some sowed faith, and they grew strong, some leaning on others, some helping others up, all reaching for a higher place and never looking down or back.'

Something like that. Thank you.

You'd want a slightly

You might want a slightly different parable - about the weeds and the enemy that did it.

Also good to draw Bible analogies to current life - but always keep the eyes on the prize on heaven, - and the meaning where they are 100% about.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Eye on the Prize.

you wrote = "always keep the eyes on the prize on heaven, - ".
re The Kingdom of Heaven, = probably you continued reading Matthew chapter 13, after the verses quoted in the OP.
I read them too, and I quote -
45 'Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls; 46 when he finds one of great value he goes and sells everything he owns and buys it.
~ ~
51 'Have you understood all these?' They said, 'Yes.' 52 And he said to them, 'Well then, every scribe who becomes a disciple of the kingdom of Heaven is like a householder who brings out from his storeroom new things as well as old.'

Classic

God grant us here at the Daily Paul the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. - Matthew 10:16

Therefore. .

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

What is the gospel of liberty? It is the greatest compromise. Each gains more than must be granted. The gain is those liberties most precious - yours. What it is you must grant is often difficult, you must trust the other fellow with his.

Listen to what he's saying when he's not blinking

why not?

Love this. Remember it when

Love this. Remember it when trying to wake people up. We are sowing seeds of truth. Some seeds blossom in fertile minds, some seeds fall to the wayside. God is in control. Wisdom is from above. Many are called, few are chosen.

I have made a point of not bringing religion or scripture

into my posts here on the DP. I am certainly not bothered when others do so, but never wanted to give fodder to trolls if you know what I mean. I do believe that as the movement is more successful and as Tampa gets closer, statements on DP will be lifted and used against us.

Having made that point, since this thread does have religion and scripture running through it....I must admit with sadness that my understanding of bible prophecy is such that all we see happening has been prophesied and we cannot stop it. The tyranny, the global impoverishment at the hands of the money changers, the death and destruction with the unjust wars, the RFID chips that are coming Agenda 21 etc. etc. etc.

I however do not know the future and will continue to fight for what is right regardless. I have been very interested in politics and policy ever since I became a Ross Perot supporter in the 1990s and learned about the Fed from an old Barry Goldwater patriot at one of the Perot meetings. The Perot supporters do not hold a candle to this liberty movement. I am so proud to be associated with this movement and all of you and will not stop fighting for what is right regardless of where it leads me and all the rest of us. I am willing to die to stand up for human liberty and freedom. I however fear that is exactly what will happen to me. God bless us all.

As a scholarly work 'the bible' is a collection of many books

some containing some really good advice, such as this excerpt, that anyone of any or no religion can benefit from.

We don't know that we can't stop it

How do we know those prophecies have to be fulfilled NOW? Eventually they will come to pass, but it could not be for hundreds of years if we fight them. People have thought that the Antichrist had come and that the end was near many many other times in history.

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien

I agree it is not necessary to bring religion into this

But I have learned much from teachers of religions whose religions I would never practice myself. That isn't the point of this posting.

It's the 'messanger-message' issue that we see every day. This passage is great wisdom whether you believe in Jesus or not, simply enough.

Exactly

It's actually becoming a dividing line between myself and many friends.

I speak common sense in a foreign english.

We need more ears.

They that give up liberty for security deserve neither.

Stammering lips and another tongue

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

13 But the word of YHUH was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. (Isaiah 28)

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

.

Hear, O Israel: YHUH our God YHUH one. And thou shalt love YHUH thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Friends are tough enough, family is even tougher

Not to 'convert' to the 'Ron Paul Mindset'. But to let go when you realize that they may be the rocky ground Jesus spoke of...

But maybe that family bond is what the new world order-types are trying to destroy. It's such a tough call.
