Please Help, Where Do You Get Your News?

Dear Daily Paul community, I have just watched 42 minutes of Fox News in a doctors waiting room, and I'm fed up, (on a side note, what doctor/nurse would put on Fox News in a waiting room?). After sitting through that calvacade of hate and lies, I felt so sick I thought I should stay and have the doctor examine me to make sure I was ok. I'm tired of getting nothing but lies, slander, filth, diseption, and hate hurled at me by that little box in the center of my living room that we call a tv.

"But pokemonfan" ,you may be asking me, "we already know this, and there is nothing we can do. We just have to roll over and take our medicine from the corrupt media goons" Well, to that I say HOGWASH! There MUST BE ANOTHER OPTION!!

Ladies and germs, that is why I'm making this thred. I want to hear where YOU, the average DailyPauler, gets thier news.

What are the websites, magazines, tv channels, newspapaers, podcasts, and other ways you get good quality factual news. Obviously, the DailyPaul is a good place to stay up on current events. But what are some others?

I have one reccomendation. A very good podcast on itunes called "Common sense with Dan Carlon". This podcast was the very first place I ever heard of Ron Paul. Because they talked about him in such a positive light, I decided to look into the Good Doctor, and the rest is history. Dan Carlon has a pretty Libertarian view on the world. It's had a HUGE influence on my political beliefs.

Well, how about it, where do YOU get your news? Thanks for your time.

Best places

has some good information on it. Including what is happening abroad in Japan.

The sites I visit regularly

The sites I visit regularly for my news I placed on a little web site I set up that is a portal to those sites and some of my favorite movies and links, etc. I did this mainly for my local area so I drive around with big signs on my van that show the URL
www.Tru-News.org with the catch phrase "When you get tired of the lies."

Turn off the TV Propaganda.
Find out what's really going on!
"Your portal to reality!"

has links to articles from abroad. That website is what's been keeping me up to date on fukushima ever since it happened. Scroll down past the ads to where it says headline news stories 24/7

Thanks, I'll Check It Out!

In addition to those below...

I watch some RT. I have Dish Network and RT is included in the basic plan. Of the programming there, I prefer Max Kaiser Report and The Alyona Show...like other networks, there are things on there that are crap and propaganda, but I feel those two shows are pretty straight-forward.

I kept hearing about RT

but I had no idea if it was an internet show, or on tv. I might switch to Dish Network!

I also watch RT

when I'm visiting my mom, who has Dish. And believe it or not, I watch quite a bit of CCTV, which is a Chinese World News channel. Its great for getting another point of view on world news and another perspective in general.

is it in Chinese, or english?

All in English,

but many Chinese are interviewed (as well as Arabic, Indian, European, and American). Sometimes their accents are pretty bad, but it doesn't bother me. I enjoy getting a totally different point of view from the "Main Stream." It's really a great channel, and addictive.

News search

I start on the Daily Paul Posts and then search through the Comments to find other sources.

Then I go to "In the Trenches" that is mostly Daily Paul like in subject, a somewhat sensationalized and expanded version.

I visit the "Testosterone Pit" which is more world oriented but sometimes has excellent articals of interest on almost any subject of interest. (note I said sometimes)

I subscribed to Youtubes UKIP, United Kingdom Independent Party to find what insanity is going in Europe. I particularly like Nigel Forage (recommend his "the EU has hit an iceburg" video on youtube)

When I find someone I like, I subscribe and get email notices on new releases which frees my searching these people everyday.

Don't recommend and of the "doomsday". sites or Rush

Thanks, I Really Appreciate It!!!

Great Topic......

Great topic and I don't think it is understood or taken seriously often enough here. I often tell myself, GEEZE if only the people would "get off the FOX" and tune into some real news, FOR ONCE, our country would be saved in no time.

Every morning I start my day with 3 hours of "The Power Hour".

Internet-talk radio is it for me, cause there's just too much readin to do otherwise. Anywayz my number one source for info is "The Power Hour" on GCN and Jack Blood. I also like to listen to Freeman and Hal Anthony on Oracle on the weekends. All these shows are very diverse and I feel they're quality of info is very trust worthy and entertaining.

That said, I feel these shows do their best at filtering out the garbage, but we all know that the last source of filtering is ourselves we are the ones responsible for what we accept or reject.

My favorite print sources are, Information Liberation and Activist Post.

Thank You So Much!

It can't go without saying that "The Vinney Eastwood Show" broadcasted out of New Zeland is great too.

I never watch Fox.

I can stomach CNN sometimes briefly but if I see John King or Erin Burnett, I make a mad dash for the remote (I really do). I can't stand 5 seconds of either one.

www.americanfreepress.net (not my favorite, but I use it on occasion)

Here are a few that I use.

I go to

whatreallyhappened.com for my daily news updates.

I do not watch the TV.
