IF YOU FILED IN JUNE YOU NEED TO GO TO THE COUNTY MEETING!

THIS WILL AFFECT THE 2016 ELECTIONS AND WHETHER MARCO RUBIO IS GIVEN AN EARLY FLORIDA PRIMARY!

The first week of June (4th-8th) is the time for electing Florida precinct committeeman and committeewoman. These are the people that elect county officers, those county politicians that endorse candidates and basically choose who are our local candidates will be.

Hardly anyone ever runs for these positions so most of them go uncontested.

Each precinct has a committeeman and committeewoman so make sure guys bring their wives.

The term is for 4 years.

ALERT:
Your current precinct number may be the old number. They are finalizing the precincts and may not have your precinct set up yet. DO NOT FILL IN YOUR PRECINCT UNTIL YOU CALL AND VERIFY YOUR NEW PRECINCT!
This is actually a good opportunity for us to jump through all of the hoops and win a majority since most people will fill in the wrong precinct!

I live in Pinellas County, Florida. I have been a committee woman since January 2008. You need to complete the paperwork and attend the meetings in your county. Bring along an ID and your voter ID card. To find where and when, try searching “Republican Party Pinellas County” replacing “Pinellas” with your county. The website for Pinellas County is www.pinellasrepublicans.com. Most precincts have openings, so you will probably become a committeeman/woman by filling out the paperwork and attending the meetings.

please file. At my first meeting 4 years ago I was nominated by another for chair and only lost by 7 votes! I was than named policy committee chair and we did a lot of good conservative things.

Most REC people want more people like you involved. Sure there are some chairs that would rather you didn't so they can control their district. But our chair is very fair most of the time.

you don't have to spend any money campaigning. I did this after last election. Or, if there is a vacancy, just fill out application, and show up at next meeting to get voting in. Find out where those easy to fill spots are and start calling RP supporters in that district. All you have to commit to is showing up once a month after work for a few hours. It's a fun way to stay in touch, and meet for dinner/drinks afterwards.

Since there was already someone else in that slot,(a neocon) I just put my name in knowing I had a 50/50 chance. They took me aside and asked me to wait til next cycle and I said why not let someone else in, they were already there the last 4 years...anyway, and I won. They were ticked off, so they went to the Chair and got the committee to put up for vote, which was approved to allow TWO committewomen and TWO committee men per precinct, as more and more RP supporters were filling in vacant spots or decided to put their name in the hat. (This was Palm Beach County)

you only had to show up with What? yourself? Thats it..
I filled out and printed the app... going to the bank to get it noterized now.. I need to find out where to bring it!
