Malware warning?

I posted this in off topic but then realized that not many people would see it so I'm reposting here.

When I came to the Daily Paul this morning to check out the headlines before work, a red google warning page popped up warning of malware on the dailypaul.com and asked if I wanted to proceed. I thought it was strange and thought I should post a heads up that this site is flagged for malware on google.

LadyHawke, thanks for bringing this up. However, Google's own diagnostic service shows DP has no malware:

Of the 658 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 0 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2012-05-31, and suspicious content was never found on this site within the past 90 days.

We can't speak for what happened on your computer, but a lot of malware tries to pass itself off as Microsoft; it's possible someone is doing the same with Google.

This is a political attack

clear and simple

and it's a clear example why we don't want the government controlling our internet

I agree

I also got the malware warning out of the blue this morning. This is a subtle attack on this website. to turn people off when trying to use it.

Got it on Firefox, not on IE

I guess the memo went out

We are at stage three.

"First they ignore you, then they mock you, then they fight you, then you win." M. Gandhi

We've been ignored and mocked.

Now this is definitely an attack.

I think they made a mistake

by alerting us with a blanket warning to whomever comes to this site and quickly fixed it so those of us coming here from a bookmark don't see the warning, but those who come from a google search will still see a warning. Had the warning only been from search results to begin with, we might not have noticed it for awhile.

"The world is a dynamic mess of jiggling things, if you look at it right." - Richard Feynman

Nope, happened to me on a bookmark.

just a few seconds ago.

DP is still blocked from Google search listing.

3rd party malware - not DP.

ronpaulcountry.com is absolutely forbidden

I have never accessed that site but apparently its popular. On ronpaulforums they mentioned that the site come up forbidden, so I tried it myself and get the same. "You don't have permission to access on this server."

Ditto - same problem here

On my computer and at work.
Best of luck/support to Michael and the DP folks who do all of the heavy lifting to fix these things!

Is there anything we can do to help?

This is messed up

Works okay on Firefox, not Safari.

RonPaulCountry is completely down

In duplicate threads to this one, several users mentioned that RPC was down. I am getting the following 403 error:

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/2.2.15 (Red Hat) Server at ronpaulcountry.com Port 80

There is a thread on RPF about it and the DP issue:

In another thread some users were complaining about similar issues in getting to RPF, but I haven't seen any myself.

It seems there is a high probability that this is a coordinated attack against pro-RP sites. We should be flattered, since it is obvious that some people out there are terrified of what will happen in Tampa.

Just my opinion

but I think a few people are pissed at being outed earlier than they had hoped on a certain delegate thread. :)

CISPA demo test run..

I'd bet. Btw, I ran Lookout and AVG Antivirus on my Android...coast is clear. Same thru AVG and Avast on my Mac iOS on Safari.

Remember, their individual

Remember, their individual attacks are always subtle in order to maintain plausible deniability. But they have an affect that adds up over repeated instances.

There are a significant number of new visitors who will be turned off by the warning and will not visit the site again.

This is an old opposition trick

Many many MANY sites have been labeled this way arbitrarily. Interestingly it happens a lot on political sites....

**********mmmm I wonder why.**********

I don't know who is at fault. Google probably but also could have been falsely reported by a 3rd party.

This happened to several sites that I know of personally. One was a Birther site another wan an Anti-Obama site. And there were a few others.

In short - This is an attack to Daily Paul

They did this to Obamas thorn in his side

Orly Taitz for probably a year on her main website. It is done to scare people into staying away from the site and seeing what is there.

IMO Michael Nystrom should immediately contact google to cease and desist in within 24 hours or he should file a lawsuit against them for fraud and loss of business.

Just finished running

Spybot Search and Destroy. 'No immediate threats were found'. Still get malware warning.

edit: No warning anymore when loading from bookmarks but when coming from google search I get this:

Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!

Google Employees Support Ron Paul

Google employees are among Ron Paul's top five donor groups right after the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

See http://www.consequeries.com/California-voter-guide

They'll fix it. I'm sure they're smarter than the ones who donated to Obama.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I got this too.

I got this too.

If you walk blindly through life, you will run into a lot of walls.

the bilderberg group

is probably up to this , I can see u.s. cyber security one day shutting down this site and others freedom and liberty minded.

the man Doug Wead on DR. RON PAUL

I got it too.

This is outrageous. I got a warning when acecssing the site and a harder to get past message when i tried to access two threads that are talking about the messages. This is disgusting and an attack on free speech.

I got it too.

This is outrageous.

I got the warning too

And I very fastidious about malware.

I suspect Google is the problem.

I got it too - first time ever

I use Firefox

Is you do a search with Google and click. Google takes you instead to its warning on the site. "Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!"

If you click Googles diagnositc page for the site, Google states "Site is listed as suspicious - visiting this web site may harm your computer."

Although all the rest of google's diagnostics report the site as safe. Google seems to be the culprit because someone or group has been reporting it to google as a suspicious site.
