"WHAT Is The Greatest Weakness That A Romney Supporter Has?"

Ok, so we have our work set upon us from now till the Tampa Convention.

And that work can be solved by answering one question and one question only.

"What is the greatest weakness that a Romney supporter has? "

What that means is how can a Romney supporter be turned into a Paul supporter?

I've done it. (Although it's kind of hard to find a Romney supporter, but I did find one!)

In that interaction, all I asked was, "what about Romney do you like most?" (they mentioned that they had a small business, and thought he was better than Obama for business.) I then asked "What do you know about Ron Paul?" They answered not much. (Really?, I was shocked--NOT) I then told them of Ron Paul's undying commitment to lower taxes, and that his track record proves he will NEVER VOTE FOR A TAX INCREASE! I directed her to a few websites, and prompted her to do a few minutes of research online. She seemed impressed, and promised that she would.

If we can convert both Romney voters,(for the last few voting states) and Romney delegates (for the last dozen or so state conventions) and FINALLY ANY ROMNEY NATIONAL DELEGATES, WE CAN TAKE Tampa!!

So please add your thoughts, best questions, and best convert answers/videos, etc. Once we conquer all of the Romney supports false ideas that he is good enough to win/be president. Then it's all over!!!

Budget

For Tea Party types, I always offer them a bet that Romney's first budget will be bigger than Obama's last. They won't take the bet, because they know it is true. Then I follow up: don't you think we as Tea Partiers need to hold out? After all, isn't this our #1 issue? We need to make that clear in Tampa and it is only Ron Paul who will be carrying that banner.

if someone says mittens would be better than O

I ask "how?" That usually stumps them right there.

If they give some sort of generic answer, I ask for some specifics.

The hardest part would be finding a real Rmoney 'supporter'.

I've gotten the answer: He's a business man not a politician

I've gotten the answer: "He's a business man not a politician."

uhmmm....OK I think I see where you are coming from...maybe....I guess.

The least bad scenario

Most Romney supporters I know have the idea that despite his weaknesses, he is ultimately better than Obama. They say, "Even though you like Ron Paul, you have to admit that Romney would be a better choice than Obama, right?" I always refuse to concede that point and give my reasoning. Romney's support of the Patriot Act, the NDAA, and war without a declaration means he doesn't care about the Constitution any more than Obama does. Because many of these people claim to love the Constitution, this tends to throw them off their guard a bit. I point out all the issues where Obama and Romney are the same, and that either candidate is liable to run huge deficits. This at least usually leaves them thinking for a bit.

I hate to sound pessimistic

I hate to sound pessimistic about "converting", but Romney supporters are the product of decades of brainwashing from their TV and radios. They don't spend their time behind a computer where they can do their own unbias research. Everything that they know has been downloaded into them by Faux News, Bill, and Hannity. These propaganda artists are their friends. They will go home after these conventions and go right back to their TVs.

Politics is literally a sport to them where they have been brainwashed into following their team. If they don't support who Bill or Vannity tells them to then they are not part of the team. Why do you think they repeat the tired mantra of "beat Obama"? They might as well be rooting for the Yankees. Go ahead and inform these people, but don't invest your heart.

Why does Alex Jones insert a "submit to fear" subliminal message in his movies?

It's possible. Think about why we are here.

Were you born a member of the liberty movement? Or did someone have to convert you? I'm only here because people were willing to question my logic, and my justifications for my neo-conservative leanings. Sure, some will never change their minds, but I still believe the great majority of people want to support what makes sense. Unfortunately most of them have not gotten a chance to hear it without the TV filter. Let's at least give them the chance to accept the message of liberty. What they do after that is their own responsibility.

lack of

deductive reasoning.

Seems like Romney's greatest

Seems like Romney's greatest asset is that he's not Obama... and that's the primary rallying cry of the RNC and Romney supporters. On every other issue RP blows Romney out of the water, and guess what? He's not Obama either!

For a fat romney supporter

I NEED MOAR SANDWICHES!

Face it, Romney has ONE THING over Ron Paul. Only one thing.

Romney LOOKS Presidential.

If you were casting a movie, and Central Casting sent you two candidates, Mitt and and Ron Paul, who would you choose?

And sadly most dumb people go for looks.

yeah- if I was tasked with compiling a cheesey hollywood cast

Mitt would make the final 4 definitely for a season of West Wing-or an underwear ad.

False. If anything, Obama's

False. If anything, Obama's presidency showed America that you don't have to look the part to become president.

I disagree completely. If Obama wasn't President he's be in GQ.

THATS the appeal of Obama. The ONLY appeal of Obama.

Pick up a copy of GQ and look at what passes for a black male model today.

Obama it the perfect type.

If he wasn't selling stupid Corporatism, he would be selling men's designer suits.

or underwear

:-)
had to throw that in as I've been reading over the comments in this thread.

i agree...to some extent

You are absolutely correct that obama does not look "presidential", whatever that is. I guess if we go by traditional standards and modern day media standards.

Obama comes across as a stiff, arrogant, snobby, whiney, extremely radical, lying, scarecrow like figure whose body is manipulated and reconfigured on a daily basis by his handlers. Also, going by traditional standards, he is extremely effeminate, and conveys an very weak presence. He stumbles over himself when he speaks...hanging on with the umms and uhhs because he doesn't have anything of substance to say while lying profusely to a gullible public. And, none of this has anything to do with his half white, half black skin color. He is a complete fabrication, all the way down to the media pushing his basketball skills and humble upbringing.

Obama's presence is somewhat comparable to barney fife, but without the integrity, courage, heart, likeableness, fun loving, "I'd like to be your friend" characteristics that embodied the bumbbling deputy of mayberry.

Furthermore, obama has the bonus of the media not only covering for him, but glorifying him.

Romney is not all that different except in the looks department. I agree with one of the other comments that romney looks like he came out of central casting. But that is it, an empty suit that will do whatever his handlers expect.

While Dr. Paul may not be cast as presidential, as we all well know, he doesn't have the media covering for him. That is a major uphill battle, especially in the GOP. However, he is the only military man in the bunch and he has the support of active and vets alike, which is more presidential than the other two dopes. Also, while his speaking voice may not evoke a traditional presidential look and feel, his words convey conviction, sincerity, courage, selflessness, and integrity, which are characteristics that the establishment is scared to death of...they can't buy him. Dr. Paul is the rebel, he is the punk, he is the outsider, he is DIY.

you're seeing too much into

you're seeing too much into my comment. i said it because he is the first black president, hence not looking the part.

lol

Obama won thanks to the anti-Bush vote

Now all the anti-Obama votes should go to Bush the Third (aka Mitt)? I don't think so.

Maybe people need to get the

Maybe people need to get the idea in their empty skulls that "good looking" does not automatically equal "smart". Of course there are plenty of intelligent, good looking people, but nearly every "presidential" president we've had recently has been very bad for America.

What!?

You mean good looks ≠ brains!?

Say it 'aint so!!

Unfortunately, we are genetically predisposed to pursue beauty. With women, I'm not sure the same rules apply... How else could one explain this? http://cdn2.listsoplenty.com/listsoplenty-cdn/uploads/2010/1...

Sad but True

Also, make sure he is well trained to read the sh#t out of a teleprompter too! THAT is the #1 requirement these days. Politicians are not supposed to think, they have words put in their mouth.

The MSM & Entertainment Industries have done a solid job of conditioning North American society with all of their tv shows, music videos, movies, etc., to become so vain that we judge books by their cover. Bravo, I salute them because I was fooled for a long time as well.

So good to be awake and aware of their own collapse now. Lots of business opportunities if you ask me, a "Wake Up" service for example hahaha. "Tired of not knowing the truth? We Can Help."

You're right, I've actually

You're right, I've actually had this point made to me as to why Ron Paul will never be elected...how he looks! My reponse was, So you believe that how someone looks if far more important then integrity or principles or the fact that they have actully kept their oath to the Constitution? That how someone looks or sounds is what we Americans base our decision upon who leads our country? Have we really become this shallow? If this is the case then you deserve what you get, what deeply disturbs me, if you are the majority, is that you are deciding for me too. And I resent that...

If my need to be RIGHT is greater then my desire for TRUTH, then I will not recognize it when it arrives ~ Libertybelle

Yeah, just like no one voted for Obama...

...simply because he's 8-10% but looks 100% black? They have made us despise "white" politicians for so long that they were able to install their greatest puppet by our own demand. And he's been the worst thing to happen to the U.S. But he can sing and make mildly funny comments. Oooh look at his abs!

America needed a president, so they gave her a Celebrity. Living the American Day-dream. Then you snap out of it.

Mayor Linseed on the old Batman Show. RP2012 Romney Is Linseed, Paul Is Batman

9/11 was an inside job .....time to get some answers..RP 2012

Try to trap them into

Try to trap them into admitting they don't know anything about Mitt. Be somewhat vague and hint at things, then tell people to search for themselves. A person values knowledge more if they have to work for it.

"What is your favorite Mitt Romney position?"

"How much does it bother you that Mitt supported TARP?"

"Did you know Mormon's believe Jesus was a polygamist whose many wives included, among others, Mary Magdalene; Mary, the sister of Lazarus; and a woman named Joanna."

"I was reading the other day that Mitt might be as big a gun-grabber as Obama..."

* When Mitt Romney was Governor of Massachusetts. He signed the Assault Weapons Ban which is still in effect today. He supported the Brady Bill that was declared unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court in the landmark decision Prinz Mack vs. Brady Bill.

* He supported mandatory IDs for Firearm owners

* He is for a five-day waiting period when purchasing a firearm.

* He supported the Federal Feinstein Gun ban.

Let's stay accurate and relevant

NikolaTesla,

You bring up lots of great conversation starters to discuss with Romney supporters. However, I wanted to point out that one of those statements is grossly inaccurate, irrelevant, and absolutely not Latter-day Saint doctrine: "Did you know Mormons believe Jesus was a polygamist whose many wives included, among others, Mary Magdalene; Mary, the sister of Lazarus; and a woman named Joanna."

Your statement is not part of Mormon doctrine. You will not find it in any official Church handbooks, manuals, or scripture. I've been an active Mormon for almost 30 years and have never heard this preached by Church leaders.

There are plenty of Mormons who enthusiastically support Ron Paul. Let's not alienate them by needlessly injecting religion into the discussion. Let's all do our part to get Dr. Paul elected, but let's do it accurately and civilly.

Some people have a lot of angst

and debate in improper ways. I agree that we should leave religion out of it.

Hey GOP, where's my vote?

I've seen different evidence.

#1. You saying that doesn't make it true. I've seen a video produced by The Church of Latter Day Saints that says otherwise.
#2. We're not trying to appeal to Paul Supporters. We're trying to appeal to the people who that would freak out and don't yet support Dr. Paul.

what works for me everytime...

Show the video Romney and Obama the same person (ill find the link and update) then I ask so what do you like about Romney? What do you like about Obama? Half of the stuff they like is unconstitutional.. I say yes free healthcare is nice if you live in communism or socialism but we are are a republic and our constitution says... this always work.. I haven't met any Romney supporters only people who supposed newt or rick and say they have to vote for Romney.. and here we have Obama supporters.. after you show them why everything the like about rombama is unconstitutional show ron Paul's message and crowds and states we win.. most people will say I hope he gets it.. I converted 2 Obama supporters last night 1 was in the air force the other was his dad :)

Uh...Romney?

Did I win? Is this a trick question?

Shallow and superficial knowledge of a shallow and superficial candidate whose knowledge of macroeconomics, American history, the Constitution, and foreign policy, is shallow and superficial.

Most of his photos, lately, make me feel sorry for Romney. He's been rich, tall, and handsome all his life, and the campaign is exposing him to criticism. I don't think he's having any fun.

He might be capable of learning...if we can get him to listen to Ron Paul instead of the powers-that-be.
