CNN - When RP Hangs it up??

0 votes

Wolf Blitzer in the Situation Room with CNN's political team is discussing last night's NH primary. Lots of BS flying all over the place. Jack Cafferty then mentioned about Ron Paul and "all his supporters", and who will they vote for "when Ron Paul hangs it all up"? And, the female announced that the RP supporters would probably switch to JOHN McCAIN?????? More proof that they just don't get it. I am sure 99% of RP supporters will vote for NO ONE other than the good Dr. Paul.

Do you know who I like to hang?

Do you know who I like to hang? Frank Luntz and Sean Hannity. Of course the families will be hanged first but I really hate those two bozos.

Hannity claims that he owns the RP supporters who were chasing him. I wish the next time will end up in a real lynching. We got nothing to lose.

Do we need to shed the love in the revolution? We have been screwed big time in New Hampshire.

Hang it up?

He has been carrying the weight of truth that everyone seems to write off for 30 years. He's been laughed at, smeared and marginalized yet he endures.

...and this idiot pundit thinks we are going to jump ship for Mccain!?!

Let's keep Dr. Paul funded to stay in this race. Keep donating folks.

There are no other choices

People say to me..."You know Ron Paul isn't going to win, so who will you vote for if he doesn't get the nomination"?

What they don't understand is that there is NO alternative, and no second choice.

Ron Paul is so totally different from any candidate on either side.

We would all be complete sell-out hypocrites if we even considered voting for the establishment, and by "establishment", yes I do mean any other candidate.

Now come on campaign HQ, spend the warchest.

Ron Paul or Bust!!

Nobody else deserves my vote but the good Dr.
They do not honor their oath to the constitution therefore they will not get a vote from me -period!

Ron Paul for President!!!

I wouldn't vote for Mad dog McCain for a dog catcher! These people do not have a clue! The great thing about all of this is when they come for the money to pay the bills, they will go to the rich after they have wiped out the middle class.

These bastards will be as broke as church mice!

I think they need to see what happen to the rich in the great depression!

They all went belly up!

We don't have news men and women, we have propagandist!!!!!!

Switch to McCain?

I'd rather be tortured by watching Jane Fonda in a endless series of reruns of Barbarella in a North Vietnamese POW camp for five years.

Now THIS is funny :)

And I propose we tell them the crazy things we'd rather do than vote for McCain, like gargle glass. Then, proudly proclaim that we are not about party lines, but that we stand for principle, and will vote for Ron Paul whether he is the GOP nominee, a 3rd party candidate, or whether we write in his name.

The people NEED to know that if Ron Paul is not the GOP candidate, he WILL split the vote no matter what.

Jesus is my Lord and my God, and Ron Paul, champion of all things freedom, including religion and the free exercise thereof, is my choice for president.

That's my stance....

McPain is no substitute for RP, even in an alternate universe.

CNN seeks not only to inform, but also to influence

CNN seeks not only to inform, but also to influence.

Even though McCain is the antithesis of just about everything Ron Paul stands for, the think they might be able to peel off as few RP supporters.

The MSM loves John McCain.

For years, McCain has been promoted as a "Maverick" even though he has been a Washington insider longer than any other candidate.

The Straight-Talking Deficit-Hawking Maverick™ also has a dark side:

http://www.usvetdsp.com/jan07/mccain_myth.htm

http://www.usvetdsp.com/nov07/mccain_deceit.htm

that the MSM doesn't report, apparently because they dare not impinge on his war hero image.

I won't vote if Dr. Paul loses this battle.

I'll write in Ron Paul and "dailypaul.com membership"

RP Doesn't win?

Huh? Screw that kind of talk! We need to step it up! I just mailed a short letter to everyone I know in Michigan and South Carolina about Ron Paul and included a liberty card and a copy of my blog address. Next paycheck and more money will be going to the campaign. In a couple weeks we will be hitting precincts in Washington State (I am in Idaho and we don't vote til May.)

How come the media doesn't talk about who Fred supporters will go for?

I am sick of all of this pessimism. Talk of George Phillies or constitution party or moving to Switzerland is a bunch of hogwash at this point.

What we do need is someone other than Ron Paul himself that can speak on his behalf on some of the shows. Rudy has his guy, Huckabee has Chuck Norris, Romney has his George Clooney wannabe dude.

And tonight at the debate I think dr Paul really needs to go after some of these other guys calling them out for who they are.

Write in Dr. Paul.

I'll say it again. I would chew my arm off before voting for any one else.

yep...

For a while, I would have disagreed. Now, I think I'm with you.

I find myself agreeing with Chuck Baldwin who recently said we should demand a third-party run if we don't get the nomination. Especially if the GOP goes all the way to a brokered convention and/or Bloomberg jumps in.

Clint Eastwood

I have always written in Clint Eastwood in the past but I suppose that Alf would be the same as voting for any of the other cocksuckers and lesbian.

How dare they...

How dare they ignore, ridicule and cheat us, and then suggest we would vote for John "100 years in Iraq" McCain??? I would be willing to bet everything I own that not one single Ron Paul supporter would ever vote for McCain, or any other pro-war, CFR-controlled candidate. We will write in Dr. Paul if we have to.

Also, how dare they suggest that he drop out of the race, when he has more money than the others, and is the only voice of reason in this contest? I would hope that as long as Dr. Paul has the funds, he will continue to campaign and educate the American people about the real problems we face as a country, and the only solutions that make any sense.

I am not so sure...

that most of Ron Paul supporters will "vote for on one" if Ron Paul hangs it up.

First off, I think that once it becomes clear after Super Tuesday that Dr Paul isn't getting the GOP nomination, he would be wise to go independent. He MIGHT have a chance still that way and he WILL CERTAINTLY be able to continue building his supporter list.

Then, after the election this massive group of supporters, my guess is about 15% of the 100 million that vote, or about 15 million members, can begin to build an organization.

A good chunk of this group, over a 100,000 are dedicated enough to continue financial support indefinately. This core can begin to advertise and send out educational literature, like the other two major parties. We can add names to the list, find candidates to run, provide training like Gingrich does in Georgia, etc.

In 4, 8 maybe 12 years this new party can easily become the dominant party if the other two parties continue to do as they have for the past few decades. And they will.

In the meantime, we still have the responsibility to vote for the "lesser of two evils" if Dr Paul doesn't continue on. I am not happy with Bush, but I still believe that Gore would have been as bad if not worse. When it comes down to two choices this election year, one will be closer to our own values than the other. Even if only slightly, that's who we need to vote for...

While we press on quietly in the background with the Revolution.

Evil is evil

I've voted for the "lesser of two evils" too many times! In 2006 I vowed never to do it again. I (and many others) didn't re-elect the incumbent RINO, and the Democrat won, giving them control of the Senate. Am I happy about that? Not really. But I'm even less happy about having voted for a President twice that has turned out to be nothing like he promised.

I've never gotten involved in a campaign before. I only have this time because I honestly believe that Dr. Paul may well be America's last hope. There are no others running that stand for the things that he does, although some have recently found it helpful to claim they do. Which other candidate wants to bring our troops home NOW? Which other candidate will defend our sovereignty? Which one will drastically reduce both spending and taxes?

If Dr. Paul doesn't get the nomination and doesn't run as an independent, then I will vote him as a write-in. If that means we end up with Hillary, so be it. Other than the path they will take to get us there, there is little difference between how we end up if she's elected or any of the other Republicans.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

All the rest work for the CFR

Bush makes no decisions, and Gore would have been working for the same people who pull GWB's strings. To vote for the supposed "lesser of two evils" is still voting for evil, and I personally will never do it again.

Anderson Cooper

skipped right pass Ron Paul and mentioned McCain, Romney, Huckster, Guliani, and Thompson...RP did not make it in the conversation even though RP beat Thompson soundly in NH...just as expected...

Great thread!

But, Johnny Hundred... now, there is a great nickname for McCain. Let's make it stick!

If Ron Paul is Not Running

Then I will vote for the Constitution Party candidate. The Constitution Party is called the American Independent Party here in California. They take the exact same stand on all issues as Dr. Paul.

Libertarian Party - George Phillies

If Paul doesn't make it to the general election I will probably go back to the Libertarian Party and support George Phillies, who is one of the better candidates vying for their nomination. See http://phillies2008.org/ for his positions. They're very similar to Ron Paul's.

2012 is the year for Ron Paul!

MSM Report: http://www.msmreport.com/

I will do just what I did in 2004.

I voted for Michael Peroutka of the Constitution Party last time, and I'll tell you right now I'd proudly vote for just about whoever the Constitution Party nominates this year if Ron Paul is not still in the race at that time.

BTW, I think we're getting ahead of ourselves a little bit right now though. I seriously wonder if spreading a sense of defeatism among the Paul supporters has been one of the goals of the MSM and Establishment folks in recent days anyway. Don't give up the fight at this point. He's still in the race and still has the financial wherewithal to campaign with.

Absolutely, but...

I wouldn't think we're getting ahead of ourselves or least I hope we weren't, but rather addressing how there would be no way we'd side with McCain. We listed all of our options and while there are variables, none of them involved McCain. Blame CNN for this. LOL

Does CNN drug test their employees?

McCain?? Are you....?? I don't know if I can last this post without blurting 37 swear words in concession. I'll try.

If I can't vote for Ron Paul on a ticket, I will do a write-in.

If I can't do that, I will look into either a Libertarian candidate (as I did when I voted for Badnarik in 2004) or the Constitution Party candidate. Reason for this plan is because they are offering Ron Paul an invitation in case he doesn't get the nod. I can't blame these two parties if Ron Paul rejects their offer. I think they deserve some consideration for doing their part to keep Paul on the ballot.

But really. McCain? I never thought the mainstream could be that ignorantly idiotic.

They just continue to mock

They just continue to mock us. McCain? Unreal.

If we don't challenge the vote, we risk another unjustified beating.
If we challenge the vote, now we're even bigger kooks.

Get fired up...

I will write Ron PAUL IN. If

I will write Ron PAUL IN. If I can'tI will VOTE FOR THE CONSTITUTION PARTY CANDIDATE.. Never will a cfr prick or bitch get my vote... NEVER AGAIN!
