Doug Wead Delegates Conventions and Romney Campaign
Submitted by Anthony in AR on Sun, 06/03/2012 - 11:04Many people here are getting upset, more and more quickly, at the RP campaign whenever they release something that has a negative sounding comment in it.
Yesterday we were all upset with the GOP and police for dislocating our elected chairmans false hip, as well as breaking fingers of another individual called to address the commitee. Doug Wead released a statement and people got up in arms about the use of "high road of the romney campaign" quote from his letter.
“Despite the divisiveness that characterized the Louisiana state convention initially, we are thankful that the Paul and Romney campaigns took the high road to guarantee the enfranchisement of Republicans whose candidate preferences differ."
Truthfully weve been so upset lately we failed to see the facts, as Wead may have information that WE DONT, as stated in his blog.
“Newly-elected national delegates met with the Romney campaign’s Louisiana Chairman, Scott Sewell, who graciously said ‘that he supported the effort and would do everything he could to make sure the delegation was seated’ in Tampa."
I know a lot is on the line guys but we have to remember to keep our heads cool, and as TMOT would say "take everything with a grain of salt"
Let's stop nitpicking the smallest words and get more active in reminding delegates to SHOW UP. We lost 2-3 conventions recently we should have won, and noone in the Paul Campaign is to blame.
Lets win this one, For Liberty!

I agree with Anthony. Our greatest strength
long term can be our greatest weakness short term. We are those individualistic, independent-thinking, freedom-loving cats that are impossible to herd in one direction. Trying to get us all on board the vehicle of the RNC and playing by their rules is a task of epic proportions; there is no way the Campaign can please us all. Like each of us they make mistakes.
Add in the strong tendency of independent thinkers to suspect conspiracy even in the ranks of our proven fighters, and we risk disarray in the final hours when we most need to close ranks and hold fast to a united effort against proven evil, about which no conspiracy fears are relevant, since their oppression is blatantly written in blood and grand larceny.
Liberty warriors, keep your eye fixed on our known enemies, determine what is your individual path to positive and useful action to advance our cause, and don't boomerang your ammunition into our own ranks.
Gracious Romney?
What should have been taken with a grain of salt(by Mr. Tate) are the comments by Scott Sewell. We have seen time and time again the real intentions of the Romney campaign in their blissful disregard for their own rules of order and fraudulent actions.
I say "Boo" to Romney and will "Boo" his son because if I don't he gets an undisturbed sound bite for the media to use to their benefit.
Our campaign is not the only ones who are currently silent. Why is it that the media is not rallying the troops and asking them to get involved? Where is Hannity, Rush, and the others? All they have to do is say get out to your convention and take part in the process. But no we continue without the real weight of opposition that could be thrust upon us. Why? Something smells..
I'm with you Anthony in AR

God Bless You!
STAND WITH RAND 2016
Why be surprised when people don't show?
Jesse Benton (laughingly called "campaign manager") told everyone it was all over.
John Tate just issued a statement which included no mention of the health and welfare of 2 RP supporters who were beaten, and instead talked of nice, chummy feelings with all people as long as they are good little GOP followers.
It's NOT the fault of those who have busted their tails for Ron Paul.
The fault ENTIRELY is with the campaign.

Defeatist mindsets always end
Defeatist mindsets always end in defeat. I am not a loser by any means of the word and i will continue to win. Part of that, is taking responcibility for our own actions. If they released words that hurt our feelings, its noones fault but my own for getting upset over it. Men are fallible, and will make mistakes, but we can only take care of whats best for ourselves.
Some of you may disagree with me, but if your a stronger person than those around you, no ammount of words can affect your personal beliefs or judgement. I do not care what the RP campaign says about our chances, nor do i care if they talk with the Romney Camp, no matter how big of deuce bags Romneys people are, because it has nothing to do with me.
I will continue to fight at full strength because its not about the future of the RP campaign, nor is it about the future of the Republican party, its about the future of America, and our rights to our own lives.
As will I
So why would that fight be supporting the dirtbags?
I choose NOT to follow the likes of Tate, Benton, Wead et al.
Why is that not a viable option?
After all, it's the same course as always for me.
I support liberty not men.
It's not like the campaign has been charting any course other than the more recent statements they have made, all of which boil down to "Vote Romney".
I won't follow that.
Isn't my way at least logical?
When did any part of the Ron Paul following ever include support the GOP nominee no matter what?
Why support something which isn't there?

The only assumption i can
The only assumption i can make is that they want to 'play by the rules' as much as possible. If "We The People" do questionable tactics in the eyes of the RNC they can have us thrown out, and i would hate to see what would happen if the Paul Campaign itself was judged the same way.
Playing nice doesnt necessarily mean they are on Romney's Side, or have a secret agenda. Thier hands are MUCH more tied than ours when it comes to these conventions.
We all have a common goal, but sometimes Faith is all we have when it comes to issues like this. If they directly came out and said "Screw the Romney campaign" it would be immediatly all over the news, and all blame and bad plubilicity would be on the RP campaign for not supporting the party they are running for.
Faith and Determination is the key. We can still win this one.
Re: Defeatist mindsets always end
I agree!
The campaign is talking way
The campaign is talking way to much with the Romney camp!!
Ignore the Romney camp, Ron Paul supporters don't even see Romney as a republican!!
The public don't like mitt Romney!!
Romney is a lost cause!!! Don't even recognise the guy he is a joke!!!
Do you mean John Tate?
I could be wrong, but I don't believe Doug Wead said any of the above quotes. He was quoting from the campaign's statement.
I'm understanding about Washington where we knew we didn't have the delegates to prevail.
I'm proud and ecstatic over the dedication seen in Louisiana.
I'm dumbfounded and PO'd that after raising $5.000 for delegates to attend in Missouri that somewhere around 40% stayed home.
Those are Wead's words, from his blog
Wead is regurgitating the statements of Tate, and putting it in Weadese.
He's basically heeding what appears to be the new Ron Paul campaign line.
It boils down to this "Vote Romney".
It's sickening.

That's what you heard? But that is not what was said.

I took these quotes directly
I took these quotes directly from Doug's Blog, but it shouldnt matter who sent the letter/email or whatever, or who said what, i just continue to see people talking about 'the campaign gave up on us' and it is simply not true.
They have been silent recently on a lot of issues, but work needed to be done elsewhere, Ron is heading to Texas soon so the silence will so be over im sure.
one appearnce per month does it for you?
Or is it one appearance every 2 weeks?
Ron Paul has made fewer campaign appearances than any of his chief rivals.
When he started to get thousands to his rallies they picked it up then stopped it cold.
Why?

but remember the total turnout far surpassed
those of his chief rivals. They wish they could speak to 5,000 people at a time.
It wasn't just college kids that attended events at the college campuses...

That's my point
How can you miss that?
See the videos in my signature link.
I've been saying that all along.
THAT is why his rallies stopped.
BECAUSE of the thousands not in spite of them.
A deal has gone down and it's not a pretty one.
