another 3000 eh?

We the People really need to from 3,000 to 50,000 argy RP supporters to be deployed to Washington D.C. to invade the WH, Senate, and Congress to take back to the People, not the special neocons.

I want to hear more about

I want to hear more about McCain and his time at Hanoi Hilton. From what i'm hearing(Stockdale) he was a traitor and was given special treatment in exchange for his cooperation with VC

more help for mccain

arent the "gates of hell" in pakistan? i think i saw it on google maps...

hysterical...

...you're cracking me up!

you didn't hear?

McCain is leading the deployment.

yeap, the Nutty Napoleon

WOW

First, these are Marines, not soldiers, you don't want to insult them. This is like sending 20,000 soldiers. So it's a huge commitment. Sounds like its just a standard MEU deployment, which happens regularly on east and west coast every 6 months. They will more than likely take up positions off the coast. That way they can rapidly deploy to Pakistan. It's a sign, since the Army has has ground responsibility in the region since the Marines pulled out in 03 to deploy for Iraq. This is probably the beginning of a buildup.

So they do some of their

So they do some of their combat training in basic, whereas other branches do it after basic, big deal. I wouldn't say 1 Marine is the equivalent of 6.66 soldiers. They are men with guns ultimately, not genetically engineered war machines, although their training is certainly set up to convince them that they are.

I understand you're proud of the Marines, but let's be real.

No biggie

You know we're still looking for Osama and as long as they are there doing that I have no issue. Iraq is a different story and I think that's where most people are confused.

no biggie?

...perhaps you'll leave that cavalier attitude to someone that at least has the right to use it. how ironic life is though. for those most entitled to have that attitude, don't. 15% will come back dead, mamed, or ill. All will be forever changed, deeply.

these are things one risks. the risks are easier pills to swallow when the cause is just.

we're not after osama anymore in any meaningful way.

Osama was reported dead by dozens of foreign governement

Wake up guys this about Pakistan.
"It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"The use of 'Conspiracy Theorist' or 'Truther' as a derogatory -- as an epithet almost -- is something the propagandists have perfected over the decades, and it's a useful tool for eliminating articulate dissent."

dozens? LOL Does that include Burkino Faso?

Please, name me 10 and I'll do some googling to see if I can confirm that. I don't want a link to a 9-11 "truther" website that claims it. If official government spokespeople so stated this, it will be on the net.

I'm curious.

I have a big issue with it.

I have a big issue with it.

First, they wouldn't need 3000 more soldiers, if they didn't send a million to Iraq by mistake. Oops.

Second, Osama is dead, dude was on dialysis. How many dialysis machines do you think they have in shit hole Pakistan? Two? Three? The ones you gotta kick start. Not hard to find.

I too

believe Afghanistan and Iraq are not comparable in the sense of war; i.e. false info and lies for going into Iraq, so we should just come home from Iraq, Germany, Korea, etc;..

The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny. James Madison

same here

Afghanistan and Iraq are very different issues. Afghanistan, through the Taliban, did attack us. Iraq was a pre emptive war, not justifiable. I do have a problem with Afghanistan in that Congress did not declare war. We must eliminate this system, around since JFK's time or before (it is NOT a neocon invention) of permitting Presidents to wage back-door wars through vague Congressional resolutions. I think the President can actually wage war for 90 days without any approval the way things stand now.

First, we should never have pre-emptive wars, what's that about?

Second, all wars should require an Declaration of War passed by our representatives. That's what the Constitution requires. I'm sure we can compromise on military rescue missions if we have citizens being taken hostage and such, but that is not a war.

If voting could really change things,
it would be illegal. Here is hoping for change!

on Chris Matthews show "get Bin Laden in 2008"

Probably the last Sunday in 2007, Chris said, "tell me something I don't know for 2008".

First person (?) said, "There is going to be a 3rd party candidate in the Presidential election.

Second person (?) cant remember so not memorable
Third person said, "We are going to be more involved in Afghanistan and we are going to get Bin Laden in 2008".

Chris said nothing like, duh, he's already dead dude.

Oh, the propaganda is nauseating!

there is no way they'd announce the deployment of 300 troops

It has to be at least 3,000, otherwise they'd just do it without letting everyone know.

Dr. Paul better use this tomorrow evening in the debate. Im sick of our fellow american defenders of freedom being sent to empirical death camps overseas.

Link please?

We need to back up our scoops and stories from the media with links. Anything is possible with this current administration.
