Asheville man says EPA visit was heavy-handed

ASHEVILLE — When Larry Keller opened his front door to find two men from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standing with a city police officer, he thought smokestacks.

But Keller doesn’t have smokestacks at his north Asheville home, and he doesn’t have a barrel of toxic waste buried in the backyard.

What he does have now is the attention of talk radio and conservative websites that have picked up on his story as one about government intrusion.
