Does anyone find it funny that Thomas Jefferson is pictured on the $2 bill?Submitted by greekdragonkdl on Wed, 06/06/2012 - 19:59
I find it funny (and also a little disgraceful) that Thomas Jefferson is pictured on the US $2 Federal Reserve Note, because Jefferson was VERY against central banking and federalism. I kind of feel like putting him on a piece of paper which is now unconstitutionally legal tender is an indirect slap in the face towards Jefferson. I know the $2 bill is not in circulation anymore, but it was just something that was on my mind at the moment. If Thomas Jefferson were alive today, he would likely be appalled at the ridiculous amount of government we have, the unchecked and unregulated inflation-oriented Federal Reserve (issuing unconstitutional paper money as legal tender), the unconstitutional wars we are in, and the many rights the government has trampled on. On a lighter note, he would also be amazed at the technological advances humanity has made since he died back in the 1800's.
