Ron Paul killed his own momentum

Neither Ron Paul, nor anyone else on his campaign staff have done one damn thing here in the last two months to try to compete against Mitt Romney.

No new speeches.
No public campaign statements against Romney, and his policies & record.
No public challenges for a one-on-one debate.
No further public promotion of Ron Paul's own programs, details, and vision.
No Ads of any kind.
No meaningful appearances of a campaign nature of any kind.
No protection, backup, and support for the efforts of even his own supporters -- who are trying to make him competitive.

If fact, all of their silence and passivism, and statements in-favor-of Romney, included endorsements by Rand Paul and Jesse Benton (and moving the goal-posts to just have a sheep-like, orderly, scripted Convention "respectful" to Mitt Romney), and the statements made against their own supporters -- just deliberately killed off and sabotaged the large momentum that was building and building throughout throughout late-March and April.

Everybody knows that Ron Paul knew this more than just about him

So, keep up the Delegate fight. Stick to your guns and be strong. No One But Liberty. This is only the beginning.

This is a great summary and it deserves to be shared with the campaign.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

CPAC

The media coverage abruptly stopped when he was no-show at CPAC.

CPAC was the big story of the day. The media all went to CPAC, and they lost the trail of breadcrumbs for Ron Paul.

Many People just dont understand

We the people make this movement, STOP relying on Pauls campaign to do the work. Anyone who understands the message of Liberty and the Constitution knows that we are to make decisions that effect our own lives, this point whether RP's camp messed up is 100% moot. Dr Paul or his campaign have nothing to do with this. Stop idolising people and stop looking for a leader to follow.

The whole point is to be a self sustaining individual. We are not the mob of drones, we are a mob of free thinking individuals, which is what makes us so dangerous to them.

Our job is to pick the man best suited to protect our freedoms and right now it just happens to be Dr Paul. Any one of us who understand the basic principles of Freedom could do the same job RP is about to do, the difference is he has been doing this 30years and is much better suited to do it on our behalf.

Many people come in and troll these boards, backing whoever it is they blindly follow, in an attempt to demonize us or give themselves a moral boost to make them think they are doing the right thing, and they will soon find out the hard way, why they should have listened to Dr Paul speak.

People will once again understand the "Free Speech" is not a protected right here on these boards, its protected against the government trying to silence you.

Everything the Constitution stands for is limiting the governments power,

It has nothing to do with us on the internet
It has nothing to do with people who own businesses
It has nothing to do with what you do in your own home

It has EVERYTHING to do with the government giving you your right to be heard.

In conclusion, ban all these people you want, free speech limits government, not private sectors, and stop listening to these trolls trying to tell you what 'should' have happened, or what 'could' have happened if someone else just did something better. Learn to worry about yourself, cause when the dollar collapes under Romney or Obama, these people will be scrambling to figure out what to do, while you will have seen it coming and been prepared for it.

Sad

Bump!

Remember this phrase.

"It's the calm before the storm."

President Ron Paul!

wrong

He spoke at the mn convention, and we swept it. He would have spoken at others that took place recently, but wasn't invited to. Today he's going to be at the Texas convention.

Cali is a tough one for the underdog to gain delegates from, because of the way they allocate them. NM is an odd state, always has been, always will be, heck they had a large # vote for Santorum, who dropped out! (no offense intended to New Mexicans; fwiw I love the state and the people) On the plus side, their former gov is a libertarian :)

California is not a tough

California is not a tough state to steal delegates...it is IMPOSSIBLE. California chooses delegates via slate and Romney is not going to put anyone on his slate that he doesn't ABSOLUTELY KNOW is solidly behind him.

Michael Nystrom......

Michael..........

When the heck are you going to take care of this troll problem. It is totally getting out of hand.

It is such an easy fix....just ban from posting all newbies who have been here under 8 months. They can read....just not post. End the ban after the convention. This will eliminate the troll problem.

For crying out loud

Someone has a differing opinion that opposes yours and your solution is to ban them from posting and refer to them as trolls.

I happen to think the poster makes some valid points.

No one is questioning Ron Paul's character, the questions are about his timing and strategy. It also leads one to ask where this whole thing is going?

Lighten up.....

Why Ban?

I know it's annnoying but that just doesn't sound like Freedom to me. How would you have liked to not be able to participate when you joined, would you have stayed around for 8 months?

You have the absolute freedom to click or not to click! I think Michael understands this and honors your freedom to choose and is willing to take the bitter with the better to grow the site and our movement.

Mr. Liberty or Mitt Romney (MR) Liberty

Just an observation...

And of course anyone should be free to speak what is on their mind regardless of obvious intentions.

Money doesn't grow on trees,

Money doesn't grow on trees, and everything you mentioned takes a lot of money to do.

As for the debate...that was just an asinine bitchfest from the supporters anyway. Ron Paul knew that there was NOT going to be a debate once Santorum dropped out. There just was not going to be, and it would NOT have made Romney look bad to refuse one. If Ron Paul kept challenging Romney, it would have made HIM look bad. Which is why he didn't do it.

Stop blasting Ron Paul because he didn't follow the absolutely IDIOTIC suggestions of the ignorant kids on the internet

And Today There Was a New Email. . .

Many have received an email from ronpaul2012.com this evening. It begins:

"I wanted you to get an update from me personally, since we have some great news!

"Due to the smart planning of our campaign and the hard work and diligence of supporters like you, we stand to send nearly 200 bound delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa. This number shatters the predictions of the pundits and talking heads and shows the seriousness of our movement.

"What's more, we will send several hundred additional supporters to Tampa who, while bound to Romney, believe in our ideas of liberty, constitutional government, and a common-sense foreign policy.

"When it is all said and done, we will likely have as many as 500 supporters as delegates on the Convention floor. That is just over 20 percent!

"And while this total is not enough to win the nomination, it puts us in a tremendous position to grow our movement and shape the future of the GOP!

[...]"

It goes on a little more - but most shocking is the BS about "bound" delegates. Is this email really from the campaign??? Yikes!!!

Why take action when

you can stand aside and watch you enemies rip themselves to pieces?
There is a time for action and a time for inaction.
Are your nuts on the line?

What is happening here tonight"

Seems like every other post is by a troll or a troll wannabe.

A strange day indeed.

I won't be bummed until Zombney gets the nomination. And even then, I will have no other choice but to continue on in the Liberty movement. What are we supposed to do, sit down and wait for the Brownshirts? NO BLOODY WAY!!!! 2012, 2016, 2020...it doesn't matter. Forward, onward and upward. The trolls (or just plain wussies) can fade away, but I won't. Once you are truly awake, you can't go back to sleep.

That's rediculous

This poster has a legitimate point and you called them a troll?

In a free society we are encouraged to exchange thoughts and opinions right?

I think the movement hurts itself by driving people out that have the ability to think.....

If you don't march to the drum your a troll right?

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

That's exactly it. If you say

That's exactly it. If you say something negative about the campaign or its strategy you will get voted down. Toe the line recruits. If you disagree you're a troll. The original poster makes valid points. The doc and his campaign haven't been perfect so wake up and realize that. I'll probably get called a troll or a sympathizer but I've been here about 5 years so you can save that shit. The campaign made some mistakes in the opinions of many. Just because one wishes it weren't so doesn't make it any less the truth.

I agree with dexterszyd!

I agree. When I was a boy, there was a saying that I heard that I thought was very powerful. It was "Though I might disagree with what you say, I would fight to my death to defend your right to say it."

Why should we attack someone and ask that they be banned, just because you disagree with their honest assessment of a particular situation. I don't think that Ron Paul would be in favor of censorship!

Quite free

to say what they want. however this forum was not set up for Romney sheeple to spew disinformation. For another look yes we protect a racists right to spew their garbage, doesn't mean they have a right to spew it in a NAACP meeting. JW's have the right to knock on our doors and say their spiel, closing our doors on them doesn't diminish their right. We have the right not to listen to them. And the owner of this site is not required to give them a forum. The trolls and the racist posters should be banned. The MSm will use them against us, no coincidence they showed up and now we're being accused of being a nazi movement.
