Ron Paul can't just come out and say "Hey, I'm going to win the nomination" He'd be laughed out of Texas. It's up to us to create a brokered convention by VOTING FOR RON PAUL ON THE FIRST BALLOT!
It's really that simple! Once it's brokered, anything can happen!

Ron Paul
doesn't know how many delegates he has. Since its "not likely" that he will win, he doesn't want everyone to be so disappointed that they give up on the liberty movement. This movement has little to do with Ron Paul, and EVERYTHING to do with his message. We need to try our hardest to win this thing until the convention at Tampa is finished. Anyone who gives up now hasn't earned any liberty that comes from this movement. I'm confident we will win in this fight for liberty, because there is no other choice.
If Ron Paul doesn't win, we have a lot of work to do. If Ron Paul wins, we still have a lot of work to do.

Let's assume for a moment they are all unbound. So Ron Paul gets 500 votes. How does that create a brokered convention?

And even if he wasn't, the idea that Ron Paul had 500 "stealth" delegates that are pretending to be Romney supporters on top of the 500 Ron Paul is already talking about isn't even remotely plausible. What would make someone think he had more than 10 or 20 like that, let alone 500 or 600?
