Does anyone seriously think the washed-up, halfassed Republican John McCain would actually stand a snowball's chance at the gates of hell of beating Obamagogue in the general election?
Jeez, every time I see his sedated mug on TV, he's reciting the same, tired lines that he uses every time he's in front of an audience. If I had a nickel for every time he mentioned bears in Montana, I could donate another $100 to the Ron Paul campaign.
And by the way, it's 2008. No one gives a dick how much you admire Ronald Reagan. 85% of the electorate doesn't even know who Ronald Reagan is anymore.

I agree with you MT 1034. And if I am guessing right, I am a Montanan too. I don't see how McCain could ever appeal to the rest of the nation as a serious contender. Here's what I think(not that I believe I can predict the outcome): If the reports are true (and it seems reasonable to me), that Bush met with Hillary privately this summer, I think the S&Bones Bushes agreed with the S&Bones Clintons(has anyone missed what good buddies Bush senior and Bill C. turned out to be), to cede the election to the Democrats (Clintons) this time around, to continue the policies and agenda of the Bilderberg/NWO. They will not relinquish control of this country and their plans for the blitzkrieg of Iran ( which seems to be ongoing despite the majority of Americans "seeming" to be opposed to the war.). Except for RP, who they will continue to marginalize as a pariah, the rest of the Demo/Rep field is all CFR/NWO wanna-bees. Even if they can't pull off a Clinton victory, they have all the back ups, lined-up to follow their commands. This battle for the awakening of the masses is not going to be easy! This election, while amazing in some ways at to how many are waking up, is revealing as to how many will vehemently defend being asleep to the death.

Actually, if you look at head-to-head polls, McCain does better than any other Republican. On the Dem side, Edwards does the best. In fact, Edwards is the only Dem who beats McCain.
