An OPEN letter to Jack Hunter. Just sent it to his website, and I publish it here for the Daily Paul community.Submitted by sharkhearted on Fri, 06/08/2012 - 10:15
This was sent to him today as his latest video was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
I am tired of him using his front-page website platform at ronpaul2012 to push his GOP gospel and use it to tell us, who have all donated much money, blood, sweat and tears to this campaign, that the Ron Paul portion of it is over.
I have been a lifelong republican. Ex-neocon here. Reagan Bush Bush Dole Bush Bush McCain that is my voting record. Not this year. Writing Ron Paul in.
I think your latest video forces the issue and will alienate all of those blue republicans and libertarians who already hate the republican establishment.
We know you love the GOP and Reagan and everything conservative, however, there many in the Ron Paul camp who don't consider themselves "conservative" at all, but more "classical liberal", like Thomas Jefferson, or libertarian, or anarchocapitalist, or whatever the case may be.
Your videos are really heavy as to trying to force people (many of them Paul supporters) who already hate the GOP for the way it has treated us, to accept the GOP as their personal lord and savior.
Then, you take your ronpaul2012 campaign platform (there you are, always on the first page of the website), and after so many of us gave all of the money and time and effort we could to a campaign that has betrayed us and not followed through to the end, you get on there and state emphatically that "Ron Paul is not going to be the nominee" or "Ron Paul is not going to be president".
Thanks for shutting everything down before it has even begun! Shame on you, dude.
Oh and by the way, you insult the gravitas of the Paul REVOLution by continually comparing it to the "Christian Right" takeover in 1988.
The former is profound and will do much good to the party; the latter has harmed the Republican party more than ever and forced traditional Republicans away from the party where the neocons could take over.
If you are going to continue to use the ronpaul2012 platform to tell us that the Ron Paul campaign is over, and tell us that we essentially should fall into the Republican Party and become obedient to the process, as "good little conservatives", then you should step down and remove yourself from the Ron Paul 2012 platform.
Its not over. We'll take over from here...and it is time to take things into our own hands.
