Some are Already Caving to The Lesser of Two Evils Concept

I can't believe some people are actually defending Rand's endorsement and talking about Romney being better than Obama. What Rand did was ENDORSING the corruption and the shenanigans that the Romney and GOP did to us..

What the hell is going on? That is like throwing out everything we fought for and everything RON Paul has done and stood for.

No way in hell will RON PAUL EVER EVER EVER endorse Romney or any of the other establishment candidates just to get along or please someone.

Why would you or anyone do it or support or defend someone that does it?

So lets see

We the people rallied behind a man who's message was about liberty and above all else upholding his oath to the constitution and never, ever compromised his principals for political gain

are now supposed to to try to work out our issues with a vile, disgusting group of people who literally stole an election from one of the greatest statesman that ever lived.

Fuck you GOP!

I agree 1000000%. What Rand

I agree 1000000%. What Rand did was ENDORSING the corruption and the shenanigans that the Romney and GOP did to us..

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

I'm with

Ron Paul until the last vote is counted at the convention. Then if the Romulettes take the nomination... I will be looking elsewhere to cast my vote. I have principles. I cannot throw those principles out and vote for the idiocy of the lesser of two evils. In my mind they are both evil.
I'll tell you what will come of a Romney presidency. More freakin wars, larger debt because of these wars, yes less spending on home social welfare at the expense of more international intrusions. The UN will be given more power through both Obama and Romney. There will be a push for a national sales tax so we can reduce the deficit. This will not reduce the deficit. It will increase spending. There will be more governmental intrusions into the peoples lives. Romney is not against the NDAA, he is not against the Patriot Act, he is not against the government feeling up it's citizens at the airport. He does not talk about government intrusions into our lives. He and his cronies are for more of the removal of our rights. You can see a bigger push for the trans continental highway being pushed (We haven't talked much about the joining of the three counties lately have we?) But it will be if Romney gets in. And he will have a congress that will help pass more legislation to remove our sovereignty. Health care will be installed totally. This is the biggest plan. Let that plan get it's tentacles deeply into our system so it will be so hard to ever remove. With it.. We will be told by our government what we can and cannot eat or drink. Small businesses will have a harder time coping with all the new regulations that the government virtually eliminating small business... These are just some of the things I see coming to us if the lesser of two evils comes into power. Not for me.... Hope not for you also.... Go Ron Paul 2012!!!!!!! Luv yah dude!

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

I have NO problem with Rand's endorsement of Romney...

I on the other hand will NEVER vote for Romney!

Rand Paul 2016

Rand Paul 2016 for Peace

Rand's biggest mistake was to

Rand's biggest mistake was to say that Rombama is "right there with us." Are you serious Rand? The damage from that statement alone is really great.

where Rand truly lost me is the disrespect he's shown us,

when asked by Sean Insanity if he's willing to go on the road to campaign for Mutt WRONGney, he said without missing a beat: YES.

This, at a time that his OWN father's campaign is technically still alive and well, and will fight tooth and nail IN TAMPA.

If Rand thinks Tampa's gonna be some scripted coronation to the WarParty, he got another thing coming.

Sad, as Rand truly were the heir to Doc's political infrastructure, and he starts off by throwing ALL of us under the bus, in lieu of spineless, astroturfed commie RINO Tea-o-Cons who would've voted for Mutt WRONGney anyway, with or without Rand's urging.

So the ONLY effect Rand's Mutt endorsement had, was to fracture the Liberty Movement, throw it into a dissent fest, and raise a big FU flag to all the blood, broken fingers, hip fractures, sweat, tears and FRN's we've poured into Dr. Paul's RP2012 and Rand's 2010 Senate run FULLY aware that in 2016 or 2020, Rand will be running for POTUS with OUR political infrastructure that WE built.

What good is gaining NOTHING, while losing EVERYTHING??

Truly don't get it. Plus it's not like Amash has the same gravitas of the Paul name, nor is Dr. Paul likely to hand over the donorlist.

And, considering how Dr. Paul's donor base ain't your typical one, destroy our platform? That list is gonna be worthless as who on that list is gonna continue to fund your political enterprise, if they felt that they were betrayed, and 'didn't get their money's worth, nor what was promised?'

Seriously, unless Rand and RP2012 campaign is playing some brilliant 4D chess, I don't see the upside of Rand actively endorsing, promoting, and soon to be on the road campaigning for Mutt WRONGney.

Did Rand forget that R3VOL have NO PROBLEM shouting down typical politically expedient politicians when we go to their rallies?

Oh he better believe if he even utters "Romney" when R3VOL are present, he'll now be shouted down.

All I have are questions...

Predictions in due Time...

"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul

I will NEVER vote for Mittens or his DNC clone.

My vote will go to Ron Paul or Gary Johnson, period.

I don't play, I commission the league.

After Bush in 2000, never "lesser of two evils" again!

Rand is supporting Romney, his words not mine. For whatever reason, whatever the motivation, he is supporting Romney. I doubt it is because he is thinking "lesser of two evils." More than likely, he is thinking about the future...in his mind (I hope) he is thinking that this is groundwork to get guys like Hannity, Beck, etc. to not dismiss his candidacy out of hand...to work on furthering the movement down the road.

HOWEVER, what message does this really send? I mean, it is clear that Romney is the consummate flip flopper and even after flipping and flopping, he still supports big govt in too-many-to-list ways. And what if Rand DOES NOT get the nomination in 2016 or 2020...does he keep on endorsing whoever the GOP nominee is?

The message to me from Rand, then, is ultimately that you should support the nominee no matter what. You put up and shut up at the end of the day and vote the lesser of two evils. You vote Bush in 2004 and McCain in 2008 and now Romney and whoever else comes down the pipe. (But if the shoe was on the other foot, we already know that Newt would not have supported Ron Paul.)

The whole thing sickens me greatly.

RP is a LIBERTARIAN. It's time for him to endorse Gary Johnson and join him on the campaign trail. The majority of Americans are stil asleep, in a zombie like state trying their darndest to stay in bad debt due to the belief that they are saving something. The "movement" still has a choice and a potential Romney/Rand Paul ticket "ain't" the answer! Don't "waste" your vote choosing a ticket that you dislike the least. If there isn't a ticket that's to your liking, then don't vote or simply "write-in" your choice.

No One is Caving

I wont vote for Romney, but I will also not Scorn Rand Paul and abandon him for doing so. Political practicallity is something we have to understand. Rand hasnt compromised any principle. He is forming a Coalition with Romney to advance certain aspects of our platform. This is a good compromise....

fireant's picture

If someone believes it is dangerous to give Obama another term,

no fault can be be assigned for voting to prevent it, nor can it be considered "caving to the lesser of two evils". It's a vote with a purpose; get Obama out.

Undo what Wilson did

"...get Obama out."

and do what? replace him with another muppet of the "crony capitalists?" nope, that won't work and it hasn't worked for almost a century now. by now, we're all familiar with Einstein's definition of "insanity." don't forget that RP is a Libertarian and there is a proven candidate in the Libertarian Party. "Live Free Or Die" used to be more than some catchy slogan. Message to RP: time to reveal to the entire world your true Libertarian Principles by endorsing Gary Johnson.

FALSE - no one is caving in

It's not about Romney v Obama

It's about Romney/Paul v Obama/Biden, and looking at it from Ron Paul's perspective...

The difference between a Romney or Obama presidency is small, so supporting one over the other is a small price to pay to facilitate a great opportunity for Ron Paul's very own son to be VPOTUS.

Don't you want to support Ron Paul in this way?

Of course, all this assumes that Romney gives the slot to Rand. If not, then forget about all of it. But then, if Romney does not give the slot to Rand, then Rand's endorsement makes no sense, and Ron Paul's "not enough delegates to win the nomination" letter makes no sense.

You JUST CAVED IN. You are being Co-opted.

We cannot allow ourselves to become disallusioned with the vanity of a title. Nothing will change unless Ron or another reliable candidate can get to the office.

Rand isn't the one: Last night proved it.

This has been coved to a great deal here:

Newsflash they are mostly mittens people who have infiltrated

And they really don't want you to watch Dr Paul's speech to the Texas convention Ignore the Rand threads and get Dr Paul's speech up where it belongs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BS7AFqukV0&feature=youtu.be

No, I think some people are

No, I think some people are actually so overwhelmed with emotion that they want to believe that someone like Mitt can make some changes..

Some threads on this website are starting to look like Jonestown, if Rand told them to drink the kool-aid, they'd do it.
