Kentucky Liberty delegates and alternates, please attend your Convention later today, then post on this thread your accounts of what transpired. Thank you!

This thread was originally titled An open letter to Liberty delegates elected for this weekend's conventions, and contained the following thread text:

To our Liberty delegates and alternates elected to attend this weekend's conventions in Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Arkansas:

Good evening. I would expect that, by now, you all know that Sen. Rand Paul endorsed Gov. Romney on Thursday. I write to discuss the media's response to this news, and how you can help shape this media narrative.

While it is certainly understandable that you might be concerned about this endorsement, you must not allow your concern to distract you from attending your convention on Saturday (in fact, three of these conventions -- Texas, Illinois, and Indiana -- have already begin, but, better late than never). The media will be watching closely to see if our Liberty delegate turnout declines following the endorsement, and will interpret a decline as an abandonment of Dr. Paul.

Do you want Sunday's headline to be, "Disillusioned Paul supporters forsake convention in aftermath of Romney endorsement"? Or would you rather read, "Undaunted, Paul supporters fight on"? As you know, the campaign is now completely focused on conventions; if you do not go to your convention, the campaign effectively ceases to exist. If you don't want the campaign to end, then... go to your convention.

As I calculate, there are 216 Tampa delegates at stake tomorrow. I ask that you do the following: Get up early, get cleaned up, and go to your convention. Once there, be polite and respectful, but also organized and unwavering. Liberty delegates and alternates, it is time to stand up and be counted! Thank you for your dedication!

P.S.: To the broader DP community... Please stop talking about the Rand Paul endorsement long enough to figure out how you are going to prod and/or help our delegates and alternates to get to their conventions tomorrow. Here is an overview of what is happening this weekend:

We need to focus on the task at hand. Thank you.
