Looking VERY good in Texas!
Results coming soon!
I was a delegate in Texas, but I had to step down. I wanted to be in Tampa but the price of going and hotel stays is expensive. But I was there at the Texas convention. I had to leave early because of work and missed out on the Saturday delegate vote. I was pissed though they didn't schedule it the first day.
Not a whole lot of info but results from my CD caucus... out of 3 delegates and 3 alternates we got one delegate and one alternate. Also voted on recommending someone (one of us) to be an at large delegate - I don't know if he ended up named as one or not.
There was no problem with the chair afaik - he was the temp chair and we voted to retain him. My CD chair was fine as well.
There were reports of other CD's picking up delegates, I don't know what the final tally is.
I ran into a Romney supporter for the first time, lol. TX is full of religious right, they seem to be mostly Santorum supporters although supporting Romney now for the usual reasons.
I was an alternate and easily got seated as a delegate - actually all alternates were seated from my CD. At our SD convention a few weeks ago anyone who wanted to be a delegate to state got to be one (at least as an alternate). The take away - just show up.
God bless Texas!
"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."
what were the results?
Hope to hear the RP supporter results....as well as alternates.
Jason Stang, thank you! You're a true Patriot. I used to listen to your father online and on the shortwave...Alan Stang. He was like listening to the grandfather I never had. He had a voice like no other.
Jason's father passed away recently. God Bless you, Jason! Your father is very proud of you I am sure!
Never be afraid to ask simple questions.
I was fortunate to have had Alan as an email buddy and I last exchanged an email with him back in the early part of '09. He was brilliant, he was foxy, he could be funny and he plain ol' made sense. I still miss him. Jason, if someone tells you are like your father, you are blessed and I am sure he is proud of you.
He could be crusty, but you could tell he had a big heart.
The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.
have to have a meeting and then we will know better where everyone stands. This meeting was to happen directly after the announcement of the delegates. From the comments on the chat it looked like there were at least some Ron Paul delegates nominated!! But don't know how many yet.
A twitter follower of mine just posted that Ron Paul won Texas, is this true? Whats happening?
probably going to take a bit to absorb and disseminate the info
Attention All Delegates! Break your "Binds" and vote for the Constitution in Tampa! Ron Paul 2012
Yes, the convention has ended and nobody knows exactly all of the names of who supports who. We will find out soon...
until the final count, names, etc. are known. Strange things seem to happen when the lights go off and supporters leave. Or, am I being paranoid?
... I would say you are being prudent, not paranoid.
A Constitutional, Christian conservative who voted for Ron and stands with Rand

... Or is this a situation where the initial chair is a Liberty supporter?
Not sure, but I do know that the Chairman got a very loud round of applause.
suriyahfish - you rock! THANK YOU Liberty livestream team!
Who's the DJ? This is very fun to watch.
Here we go...back to business.
That was quick...another half hour break. They're arguing over the alternates.
