It's sophisticated because

It's sophisticated because it's BS

Debbie's picture

I'm not voting for Romney, I'm 100% Ron Paul, but to me

Jack's explanation makes a lot more sense than all the "Rand is a sellout" stuff. People say "He has a great voting record but he's a sellout". Those are mutually exclusive, they can't both be true; so to say this is a strategy, whether you agree with it or not, is closer to the truth.

Inside info

The video appears on the front page of RonPaul2012.com. You can take it as inside info. If it were not for all the backlash, the campaign would not need to tip its hand that way.

Inside information for the whole world to see. Jacks a sellout just like Rand and Jessie. This Campaign was hijacked from the beginning

Just take a week and think of the overall implications; he had to have Ron's consent. You just don't go "endorsing" a guy opposed to everything we believe; there has to be an underlying meaning behind all this that won't be apparent for days, weeks, months, or even years! We've seen how principled Rand's voting record is as it's so close to Ron's! Please just bear with me and let things cool down and truly settle.

For Greater Glory

Just got home from watching "For Greater Glory" (you should watch it)

(I'll set the seen.)

Jose, just exiting boyhood and becoming a man, has been captured by the Mexican police for belonging to the rebels, the Cristeros. His fellow prisoner has just been hung. They give him a chance to denounce the Cristeros, a small conceit to save ones life. Under the hanged prisoner and to the side of the guns pointed, Jose pronounces, "¡Viva Cristo Rey!" (meaning "Long live Christ the King")

He was murdered by the state, yet now rests with his Father in Heaven, forever.

Know your stuff, learn real history and economics @LibertyClassroom.com

Good analogy

By failing to support Romney over Obama - by shouting defiance at the metaphorical gallows - Rand would in effect be committing political suicide. I prefer a living Rand Paul, just the same.

Onward with VoMitt!

Next it will be

"Why Rand Was Right To Accept VP"

"Why Rand Was Right To Endorse More Bank Bailouts"

"Why Rand Was Right To Endorse War With Iran"

"Why Rand Was Right To Attend Bilderberg"

"Why Rand Was Right To Endorse Patriot Act 2"

"Why Rand Was Right To Endorse Carbox Taxes"

"Why Rand Was Right To Endorse Global FED"

"Why Rand Was Right To Endorse Global Government"

And it will all be for "OUR MOVEMENT" and "our benefit".

Wow I feel more free already!

We're not like those Obama supporters who believed the hypno-hype, no, not at all.

Onward with VoMitt!

You're exactly right

Rand is nothing but a sellout! Judas!

Oh, Hogwash

Can you name a more liberty-friendly person in the Senate than Rand? Honestly, you did make me laugh--but let's not be so dramatic. Remember which Republican senator already opposed and voted against the 'Patriot Act' extension?

"If you’re into political activism, at least for Ron Paul if not for anyone else, I strongly recommend spending some time with iroots.org." - Tom Woods

Obama opposed war as a senator, now look at him..

The point is he can't be trusted.

At least, from the point of view of the real grassroots.

Maybe Ron, Rand and Benton just don't understand exactly what the liberty movement stands for.

It was a mistake to give Paul's a free pass on 9/11.

9/11 being an Inside-Zionist job is the dividing line between those who stand for REAL liberty and truth, and those who are willing to accept these domestic oligarchical terrorists as part of every day life.

Anyone who thinks they can compromise with the people who did 9/11 (like Romney's good pal Netanyahou) simply does not understand the nature of the times.

Rand Paul is finished, he will not make a come back.

Ron has a chance right now, to undo this damage and reclaim the liberty movement via a 3rd party run WITH Jesse Ventura WITH a new 9/11 investigation as PART OF THE PLATFORM.

If he did that, he would win by a LANDSLIDE.

If you don't get that, it's because YOU are out of touch and living in a fantasy land, not us.

Maybe I'm naive but I prey Ron was not a part of this. I just don't see how he could be.

With the financial system unravelling and a crash coming he can still take this. Rand announced his endorsement to sway us from supporting Ron. He knows this race is not done and that Ron can win without the binding of delegates, which is illegal. He was strategic in his timing of the endorsement.

Rand provides the establishment GOP ...

with legitimacy and consent from liberty movement. It's just not true.

I don't want to see Rand Paul in any public office ever again except maybe dogcatcher.

Jack Hunter is full of crap (he's the nitwit that can't figure out Reagan was a Red and that the GOP has been evil from the beginning.) Even if Rand said all along that he would support the Republican candidate (proof he doesn't have the character or integrity his father has, but he did tell us in advance), he betrayed his father by

1 Stating that he is "happy" to support Romney

2 Did it BEFORE Tampa

What if Romney has a heart attack tomorrow (we can pray that the Lord will take him out of the running - and, yes, I am serious), gets run over by his campaign bus, or several hundred delegates at the convention vote for the candidate they believe will actually honor their oath of office no matter who they are allegedly pledged to? If you are going to endorse one of the two Establishment candidates, at least have the courtesy to your father to wait until it's "official."

3 Did it on Hannity's show - a lying, warmongering, neocon puke.

I truly hope Ron addresses all of this in the next couple of days. Hopefully all the flak will cause the good doctor to realize his campaign has been sabotaged internally and to can those responsible and come out and state clearly that he is in this to win it and encourage his supporters to do everything they can to get win the nomination in August and the long range goal of building the liberty movement is secondary - you don't give up two months away from finish line.

No King but Jesus, no President but Ron Paul

funny you say dogcatcher

Once I met Ron and Rand in Louisville, Ky in 2007 and when I asked rand if he's ever thought about running for office and he said he couldn't even get dog catcher. I'm with you though. I think we've all been fooled. But I'm afraid they've both sold out and long before now. He never wanted to be president and never thought he'd come this close. We had it won and he quit. Simple as that.

Wake up or Waco!

It was a disgusting display

It was a disgusting display and a huge insult to Ron's legacy.

Listen to the video all the

Listen to the video all the way to the end. Hunter points out, as I have repeatedly here on DP, that making the compulsory announcement before the convention smooths the skids for our delegates. We do not want them locked out of Tampa by the credentials committee! Hope is better than no hope. Even if they do not manage to nominate Dr. Paul, they can pass the proposed rules changes that will make it easier for our people to take over local delegations.

The announcement was compulsory. Rand said long ago he would back the eventual nominee, regardless. It could have been worse. There was no great gnashing of teeth then. There should be none now. Rand took one for the team, and the team is beating him bloody for it.

I Agree!!

To do it before the Tampa Convention serves no purpose other than to derail our movement and of all MSM scumbags he chooses Hannity who forgot the runner up-Ron Paul- during his one hour followup show in Iowa. So, were they threatened as Ross Perot was or a deal with the devil was made? He was the worst of all the presidental candidates. And, if he is offered a cabinet position he will be their puppet with no power for the liberty movement.

What is the difference between

a light bulb and a prostitute?

Edit: I didn't get that exactly verbatim, but here is the jest of it:
http://youtu.be/fMknMZP_zX4 (Steve Martin in My Blue Heaven)only 35 sec. long - If Rand could have listened to the wisdom of Steve Martin instead of Benton & Olson.

I agree 100% with this

I agree 100% with this analysis. Don't forget that to be "too pure" can be a kind of auto sabotage. Beside that, it is not the endorsement itself of Romney that can be a threat to the movement of liberty but the reactions of the supporters against Ron Paul and Ran Paul. I am a Canadian with a real passion for the movement of liberty and it will take me more than that to change my mind about Rand and Ron. Doesn't mean that we should be naive and blind if the circumstances change in the future. But for now, I don't think that Rand Paul just decided to give up the battle of liberty. But, I still need to warn about something that could happen in the future. If you have read the books of Richard Maybury about power and politics, he said clearly that politic power corrupts morality AND judgment. It is like in The Lord of the Ring. I don't think Ron Paul or Rand Paul could be corrupted morally but their judgment could be corrupted. It had happened to Jefferson, Adams and many others Presidents. You can be the most virtuous man in the world and still be corrupted by power. Until now, I have no reason to think that this has happened to Rand and Ron Paul. The fight for liberty is still needed.

Our Job Is To Secure The Delegates For Tampa...Stay The Course

Let Ron and Rand play their strategy. You never reveal your strategy to the enemy. There is something good that will come of this.

Our job is to secure the delegates for Tampa.... Lets stay the course, remain calm and support the rEVOLution...

"We are Ron Paul"

I'm supporting Ron Paul, win, lose or draw..Rand never, ever asked us to support Romulan....Do what your heart tells you...Support Ron Paul..

Our Job

Our job is to stay the course like you said. I feel that both Ron and Rand would expect us to do just that. In fact, I believe they're both counting on it.

maybe so

I don't hold it against Rand, this is how they make you toe the line. I'm glad I didn't have to make that choice. Real jobs look mighty good in the face of that shit storm...
Gary Johnson is somewhere out there putting his lucidity into play. And it's getting attention from Ron Paul's followers. Can they hit critical mass to put the L's into real play? Stranger things have happened.

The GOP must know the wolf is at the door? Their precious hobnobbing Tampa spots were savaged. Their trusts are being broken. Can they be that oblivious to our substantive power? Will they throw us a bone? I'm betting they do.

Now you're just like Hannity and Limbaugh. Good for you Jack, good for you.

Make that a gay Hannity and

Make that a gay Hannity and Limbaugh.

Imagine the tooth fairy. Imagine Santa Claus......

Boobus AmericANUS has spoken.

Now it's time for him to get what he deserves (good and hard as Mencken said).

Leges sine moribus vanae

IF I was promised these 3 things,

Judge Napolitano top pick for Supreme court,

Murray Rothbard, or the guy with the bow tie(forgot his name)for Fed Reserve Chairman.

David Walker for Treasury sec.

A GARAUNTEE for this in order to get me to give my endorsement to romney.

Hell it could mean that Rand is top2 picks for VP. Yeah, I would like to see Rand Paul to be Prez someday. I am tired of lesser of 2 evils. Rand is not evil, but I will allow him a few times of playing politics. I have to see the end result.

Freedom may be worth searching for.

I have given up on my fellow Americans, (not DPers) as I will not shed one more calorie trying to awaken anyone else who is not a critical thinker and does not have the inherent feeling that something is wrong.

News flash

Murray Rothbard died 17 years ago.
