Politics is a rigged corrupt game... compromising with evil to get to a better leverage point... I think Rand is likely a decent person, but who can rise in that corrupt arena.

Think Jesus, Buddha or Lao Tsu would play the GOP game?

And those are the types that really change things...

I'm so happy cuz today i found my friends

I've never felt more like a Paul supporter, than when we rebel against dishonesty & pragmatism. Principle before party! Bring them home! Ground the drones! No more illegal assassination! Love your neighbor. Peace! Peace. Peaceb

pacts with the devil

when you make deals with evil, what do you think is going to happen? the evil is going to follow through with it's promises to you? there is a difference between strategy and thinking you are going to join evil and that evil is going to stand by you.

no back peddling possible

jack's back peddling isn't going to work. he is just digging a deeper hole for himself and rand. if he has any dignity left, he should just bow out and save us his propaganda. what a waste of space.

A few thoughts worth pondering...

A few thoughts worth pondering, from someone who knew a thing or two about military strategy and the Art of War, Sun Tzu:

“All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.”

“To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.”

“To know your Enemy, you must become your Enemy.”

Thankyou Rand Paul

Thankyou for confirming that you are not an HONEST man.
Thankyou for confirming that the r3VOLution is made up of HONEST women & men.

Jack, you're still a sellout.

THE thing, not a thing or some thing or one of a few things, but --->THE<--- thing that makes Ron the center of the liberty movement today is the unwavering integrity he has shown over the last 30+ years.

Although I don't hold his son to the same standard, I'm not voting for his son in the first place.

I know for a fact that the liberty movement would not have rallied behind his son, and now never, EVER, possibly could again, because it is now impossible for Rand to get the 30+ years of unflinching devotion to pure liberty.

He ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, threw that away last week.

Rand's career is OVER. You drastically underestimate the amount of damage this has done to him.

It was very literally a case of throwing the baby out with the bathwater... You don't give up the one thing that makes you special just to advance. That's the very definition of selling out.

R.I.P Rand's Career.

I did not sign up for politics as usual which is the problem in the first place. I agree put a fork in Rand he's done in my opinion. I understand he is relatively young and has a career to protect but I ask myself what will he flip flop on next in the name of advancement.

Dr. Yes

Go along to get along, eh Jack? Go along now. Get!

look at his own words in writing

"...Sen. Paul has said for months he would endorse the Republican presidential nominee. I completely agree with this decision. In fact, I didn’t even consider it an option to do otherwise–not for me, not for Sen. Paul, certainly not for Romney, but for the good of our movement..."
Jack Hunter

What is he saying? He has no other option but to support the necon puppet establishment nominee? WHAT??? Sounds like the Ron Paul campaign has at least one shill who never had a conviction to this campaign or to winning or to change the system as flawed as it is. This is a tragedy. This guy didn't sell out...he has ALWAYS been a sell out just like Rand. No wonder he wants to give us excuses and states it would take so long to try and convince true people dedicated to freedom. In his own words he has just admitted he was committed to the status quo. He might as well have said he will vote for obama. Same thing.

This shows clearly why this country and many other are in trouble. Too many people like Rand and Jack propping up the corruption. How are we going to change things? Each person needs to do the right thing. Don't be a follower unless it is to follow your truth.

mixed stories about 3rd party

Can someone please explain to me if it is or isn't possible for RP to go third party at this point. I'm not asking if he is willing, just that if it is possible. I keep hearing from some that it is, and from others that it is not. There is nothing more that I would like if he doesn't get the nomination, but I was under the understanding that the cut off date is passed and that any other avenues, such as AE, have been closed. Not arguing one way or another, but would like to know if its at all even possible at this point. I am guessing no.

I doubt a third-party is possible at this point...

He would do better to register in every state that requires it, to be a write-in candidate.

apologist looking out for his

apologist looking out for his career

The bottom line is...

The bottom line is, you don't make deals with the devil.

The boy said, "My name's Rand, and it might be a sin, But I'll

I'll take your bet; and you're gonna regret 'cause I'm the best politician there's ever been!"

Jack makes a strong argument.

Jack makes a strong argument.

Because Jack knows what's up

Ron kept hisprinciples andhis integrity inthe District of corrup

tion for over thirty years and now he's seen the light according to our liberty pundits that Realpolitik is actually the way to go and that he's been wrong or mistaken these last thirty years!! I don't think so for a minute, and until I hear it from the horses mouth I'm not buying any of it!!

Ron aught totake Rand over his knee onelast timefor the sake of

the child and his taste and style when it comes to being a Benedict Arnold!! I think if he would of gotten this one last colossal whoopin' then he would of came out on the Jerry Doyle show after the Convention to endorse Romney and he wouldn't say he was happy about it and he'd dress up like he was going to a funeral!!LOL!!

Do you honestly think that

Do you honestly think that Ron and his son talked this over before it happened? Why is the DailyPaul basically insulting Ron's intelligence by being so naive to think that Ron had nothing to do with this decision

Ron Paul wants to keep the

Ron Paul wants to keep the revolution within the confines of the party and I think this was is part of the strategy.

If anything these last two elections have exposed how crooked the establishment GOP truly is and how our government probably has the new POTUS determined well before campaigning begins. I see no reason why RP campaign still thinks it necessary to work with the party that has a long history of cheating and censoring him. I don't want to speak for anyone else here, but I am not a Republican simply voting Republican: I am voting for MY candidate because he is the true voice of the people. Rand's endorsement of Romney is a very short-sighted strategy that assumes Ron Paul supporters = Rand Paul supporters. Like many I am skeptical of Rand, but if were to see him stick by his father's side and support our causes to the end of the elections no matter what the outcome, he would have won my vote in 2016.

Now, I just wonder how much of this strategy was Ron's idea and how much is Rand's creation.

I agree with keeping it in the party...

...this WAS NOT the way to do it. It will cause more people to drop out or go silent than engage.

I've been a Republican my whole life (well since I could register to vote). I've been a Republican party OFFICER on and off for over TEN years.

I will not vote for Mitt Romney regardless of what Ron or Rand say or do.

Sorry, Charlie!

I WOULD agree if..

...we had the time to change the party from within. Ron Paul becoming the Republican nominee, then president, with a heavy Libertarian presence in our government and the old-guard GOP thrown out on their corrupt behinds would be the ideal, but I'm wondering what our country will look like come 2016 elections or if the US can withstand another Obama/Romney presidency.

I want tohear itfrom thehorses mouth aboutwhat is goingon, cause

I don't trust people who are looking out for their future employment or careers in politics, the opportunistic Jesse Benton types of the world, Rand was happy to endorse the NDAA candidate so I don't care what he has to say, and as much as I respect Lew Rockwell's take on the situation and other long time friends of Ron Paul, I don't like to speculate or guess what is going on, or what has gone down when I know that Ron Paul can just make one of his videos and give it to us strait like his Texas Strait talk! I don't like going off of hear say and one's ability to use one's decoder ring!!

What Jack fails to mention...

is what will happen to our country in the four years Obamney is in office, and if the damage will be reparable with our current government intact.

What good will Rand's falling in with the fold do when the worldwide dollar dump occurs? Or when we've started our next wars with Iran and Syria? Or when corporations-aka "people" use their speech -read:$$$ to further their agenda with our government's blessing?Or when our citizens are being held indefinitely and without charge thanks to NDAA?

What's the alternative?

Realistically speaking, at this point our earliest shot is 2016. We tried in 2012 and we failed, but we will try again in 2016. There is nothing that can be done at this point to wake up a sleeping population of 300 million, so 2016 has to be our new focus. And if we fail in 2016, then 2020, and so on.. until we win. Which we will do.

There is still plenty we can do...

Winning the republican pres nomination/POTUS isn't the only goal here. It would be nice if we could, but establishment GOP won't allow that, as we all have seen. It's still very important to keep our focus on 2012. America doesn't have another 4 years to spare.

So what is there that we can still do in 2012?
