Rand has plainly said: "I'm NOT a libertarian..."

Rand Paul plainly said "They thought all along that they could call me a libertarian and hang that label around my neck like an albatross, but I'm not a libertarian,"...
From the March 17th Time magazine:

People assumed he was just like his dad.

I just watched Ron's speech at the Texas Convention again
That is NOT a man that is quitting.

Grow up ?

Rand will inspire no one.... He's just another deal maker.. More than likely many will follow Rand (the folks who have made way into the GOP) Many great people with all the right ideas go into politics only to be turned). Dancing with the devil is dangerous.

In a few months this movement will be a handful of people talking on the internet.... If you think the press blacked Ron out...

Do you really think the trillion dollar profit takers of the Federal Reserve will let you vote away their power... If you are going to have a chance you better figure out how to GET YOUR VOTES counted on the electronic machines...

You folks do realize you are 8 years out for a president now right? Mitt has been picked sounds like Mitch Daniels will be vice.. If you have not noticed even Bill Clinton is knocking Obama... The Puppet masters have spoke.. After 8 years of Mitt it will be a Democrats turn. You have taken over the wrong party.

the voting machines

I've posted that too.
Romney is the bilderberg/banker/establishment pic.
Obama is compromised and could take a big fall, soon.
The machines would be set up to help Romney.
I hope it's clear that the "grow up" comment was from a post written by the DP member that ridiculed me. Called me a "retard" and a "child"
-see his comment just above my reply.

I have always known that Rand

I have always known that Rand would support the nominee and is not a Libertarian, what pisses me off is the fact that Ron is lying to his supporters about trying to win the nomination - he is not. He has been making deals with Romney since NH or before. He never had any intent of taking delegates to the convention to challenge Romney but instead told us he did to keep donations coming in.

have you been listening to AJ?

have you been listening to AJ?
Ron Paul doesn't lie.
That will come to light.
Alex J now calls RON Paul simply "The Pauls".
AJ, trying to chain RON Paul to ORomney through Rand.
Do you know what Alex did to liberty candidate
Debra Medina's campaign? called her "scum" and went nuts just
days before she was probably going to win against Rick Perry.
Alex's listeners went along with his rants and tactics,
pulled the pin and lobbed right into the middle her campaign.
AJ can't stand sharing the spotlight. If ANY liberty candidate get's too close and is taking some of the spotlight off him, well...
he goes kind of insane. He gets absolutely VICIOUS.
Jack Blood, who had hosted Alex's show
many times, explained everything

In Ron's defense

he said many times that it was probably a long shot. Like Dr. Paul said anything can happen or could have happened and still may. Ron was in it to win it, but he knew what he was up against. Honestly, all it would have taken for Paul to win would have been fair MSM coverage.

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson

Running with the Nazi GOP DR. Paul had less of a chance than

The Libertarian Party Candidate Gary Johnson! At least Gary was on 49 states ballot in November! How many was the good DR on in November? KEEP PROPING UP THE TYRANT GOP AND WE WILL LOSE OUR LIBERTY! I say REST IN HELL NAZI GOP HITLER NEEDS A COUPLE F..K BUDIES IN HELL.

Love Ron too much to be mad at him

He's put in a career of service for all of us. It's hard not to be a neocon/neolib d-bag in the House.

But I'm feeling the same thing you are, that Ron doesn't want to be president and panicked when it started looking like he could win. He needs to win. We need him as President of the United States.

Delegates need to hand the nomination to him on a silver platter.

Take back the GOP and Restore America Now.

The Average citizen couldn't tell the difference...

between a libertarian and a lock-washer.

Rand is definitely not a Libertarian, which is a member of the Libertarian Party. But, if over the next few yours his voting record is generally libertarian I can live with that. Most of us on the DP are small l libertarian without an official LP affiliation.

Thanks Einstein

No shi t he's not a member of the Libertarian Party.

As long as he abides by the Constitution

it doesn't matter if he is or not. Ron Paul doesn't base his votes on libertarianism either, but the Constitution.

Why does he HAVE to be a libertarian?

I'm not a libertarian. I've met plenty of Paul supporters who aren't libertarians. I am a conservative. Albeit a 'fringe' conservative who believes in state's rights, but a conservative.

What's wrong with being a conservative?

thanks for pulling this up out of the past

I hadn't read it before...

this was the most interesting part of the article for me:

Paul has lately said he would not leave abortion to the states, he doesn't believe in legalizing drugs like marijuana and cocaine, he'd support federal drug laws, he'd vote to support Kentucky's coal interests and he'd be tough on national security.
