I respectfully disagree

Paper ballots are still suspect when human beings are counting them. Technology is the only way to provide accuracy, transparency and accountability. Yes the current system is terrible and broken but we should not forsake electronic voting just because its current implementation is flawed. As an IT and INFOSEC Professional I know with confidence that such a system can be designed. Hell I may do it myself soon.

You are not using reason if you think for one second

that we should continue with the farce of electronic voting or tabulation.

"Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot."

Yes, thank you!

I am happy that the facts (current) of the case are here. The problem many people seemed to have (the ones I argued with) was that they could not just go and read the affidavits in the site.
As one person who placed her own affidavit there, I was most happy to feel protected while I wrote up my personal story and (esp) personal info, which I understand has to be done when filing any sort of legal document.
If only the people understood this a bit better.

Hopefully, this will get them to see it for what it is.

We had SOME proof, but RNC does not care about Rules n Laws- they just break and then change 'em to suit whomever (not PAUL).

Check this out from Texas:

A Texas delegate sent this out, starting to shiver in their boots, methinks:

Dear Congressional District 32 Delegates to the TEXAS State Convention:

First, thanks again for your willingness to serve as a state delegate to the Texas State GOP Convention. It was a very exciting convention and featured great speakers and important debates.

I am writing also to thank you for electing Dan Pickens, Chris Davis and me, to be delegates to the national GOP convention in Tampa in late August. You also elected three alternate delegates, Marty Forte, Regina Imburgia and Christopher Haley.
This is a very exciting year in America's history and am I honored and excited to represent you at the national convention.

I also wanted to reaffirm the pledge I gave in my email to you before the convention: I will stand with the voters of Texas and support Mitt Romney as our Republican nominee, because he is the choice of the majority of Republican primary voters in Texas. You may be aware that a large group of supporters of another candidate has filed a lawsuit in federal court in California, seeking an order from the judge that delegates to the national convention are not bound to support the candidate who won their state's primary election, and that they can instead vote their conscience at the national convention. At least 120 national delegates are part of this effort, and reportedly 40 more are seeking to join in the litigation. I think that the only ethical action for Republican delegates is to honestly represent the voters of their respective states and to vote for the candidate those voters chose. That is my commitment.

Thanks again for your support.

Debbie Georgatos

But, Ms. Georgatos, there is a problem with your claims

and, thus, when it is proven that the votes were rigged and that the real winner of that majority was Dr. Ron Paul, then, will you hold to your words?

Thank you!

It's always good to be able to see these things for ourselves. Thank you for taking the time to post them.

Greetings PollMan,

I have cited your thread in mine. It has the court filings from the PACER system and I am updating it periodically. Thanks for updating your thread.

Thank You Brave Patriots!

For being the change you want to see in the world! For doing the right thing!!

God bless you all!

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. - Matthew 10:16

This could backfire MASSIVELY!!

Proceed with Caution, Or do not proceed at all.

You guys are in America? The Land of the Free? Right?

OF COURSE YOU CAN VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE! That is your right, and cannot be taken away from you.

Why do you need a Court (Easily corruptable and part of the establishment), to say, Sure you can vote for Paul, When you ALREADY KNOW YOU CAN!

Go to Tampa and VOTE FOR PAUL, You where going to anyway where you not? Let the RNC and the Romney camp try, and i repeat, TRY, to take US to court AFTER we elect Ron Paul as the Republican Candidate.

The World needs to know about Ron Paul, At the moment they DONT! You need to vote for Paul at Tampa, to let his name be Heard around the World.

Pushed into a corner

The establishment (RNC) has pushed all Ron Paul delegates and supporters into a corner during this election campaign.
This lawsuit is necessary...So, they won't be able to "weasel" their way out of the blatant corruption.
Additionally, it should clear up some issues regarding the voting process. If nothing is done, it will give the RNC more leverage by saying...Hey, we did this last time and you didn't say anything.
This is just the beginning of more to come (I hope), because those that have perpetuated this fraud need to be held accountable.
The evidence is very clear for an impartial court to see that what has transpired has been a violation of Federal Laws regarding voting.
The establishment RNC likes Big Government, Federal Law supercedes any State or Party rules...It's using the system to fight the system, which is called "gorilla warfare". Whenever you must resort to this tactic, you can't really worry about pissing anyone off...It's let the chips fall where they may, the (RNC) heads are gonna roll.

"impartial court"

Best of luck.

Finally some news!

I haven't heard anything about this for quite a while.

Thank you, thank you, thank

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lawyers FOR Ron Paul. Our prayers are with you. All of us who have donated and contributed in any way are being damaged by the GOP and RNC. So is the nation as a whole being damaged.

RON PAUL 2012 * Restore America * Bring The Troops Home

I would love to know how many of those on here…

have honestly asked themselves the following obvious questions:

  • Do we even want a Federal Court ruling? If yes, could this backfire?
  • Does the reassuring term “litigation privileges” mean what you think it means?
  • How long do cases dealing with Federal Elections usually last?
  • Are grammatical errors in legal documents a good thing?
  • Does anyone involved with the case understand why they will never, ever be given “copies of the computer programs” (i.e. the voting machine software)?
  • Wouldn't we rather have: “the electronic ballot scripts in the case of DREs and, in the case of both DREs and digital ballot-scanners, the Audit Logs from the Central Tabulators, which is the single most likely point of failure, with respect to security and fraud.”?
Example for ES&S/Premier Election Systems/Diebold hardware: the primary election's AccuBasic/ABasic script file (“*.abs”), and its corresponding object file (compiled “*.abo” files), along with the “abasic.ini” file.
  • Why does Kool-Aid taste so damn good?
  • Could this Federal Lawsuit benefit the other side?

The net positive result

is exposure.

Not if the judge rules the other way...

That just creates a precedent where there was none before.
Which...would be an epic FAIL.
I'm all for going after voter fraud, but leave the delegates and the RNC rules out of it, because I'm 110% certain —that on the issue of a political committee's delegate-binding, the court will either not give the "clarification" that is requested, by dismissing the case (which is the best case scenerio), or they will give the "clarification" that the Nation Republican Party has its 1st Amendment Right of freedom of association and that the binding stands (worst case).
Did the attorney check every bylaw in every state, along with all not-for-public-consumption RNC Committee on Credentials bylaws to see if litigation puts delegates in the position of having a Confict of Interest (COI) w/r/t/ their party?
No, he didn't. And do not come back with "litigation privileges", because I am not talking about subjective retribution or the discovery process.
As an intentionally not-applicable example, take for instance the Bylaws of the C.R.A.

For members of the California Republican Assembly
Section 11.04. Litigation Prohibited. The President, Membership Secretary, or Board of Directors may summarily terminate the membership of any CRA member who files a lawsuit or legal action against CRA, its officers or agents, or any chartered Republican Assembly, or who voluntarily assists in such action, without first complying with the provisions of this Article. Where membership is terminated by the President or Membership Secretary, it may be appealed to the Board of Directors and the decision of the Board shall be final. The Board may take other disciplinary action and pursue other legal remedies against such a CRA member or former member, without prior notice, by majority vote. Any CRA member whose membership is terminated under this section shall not be permitted to rejoin CRA without the prior approval of the Board of Directors.

Although completely off

Although completely off topic, no - I don't understand how you can have a free election without having the election software open source and transparent.

Just black box voting Soviet Style - and they were the ones that invented this type of electronic voting. Least we forget, they called themselves the "Soviet Socialist REPUBLICS", and Joseph Stalin said 'It's not the people who vote that count, it's the people who count the votes'.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

that's easy:

-we can't have free elections, using those machines.
Forget about open source, and transparent, and all of that.
If the results have to be processed on a digital computer, and when the general public has no comprehension (let alone Federal and State Election staff), of just how truly vulnerable these systems are (it does not help that the machines in use are programmed by persons who should have chosen another career), then the results will be...well...the results will be what we have now, which is a complete joke of an election system.
The only solution is paper ballots.
No need to fix what wasn't broken (and they can keep the machines around for those that need them and remain compliant with that stupid federal HAVA law).

Paper ballots

In Austin, Travis County, Texas, were not counted.
Yes, we judges were told they would not be counted until and unless there was a tie. So, for anyone who thought they would get around the e-voting thing in Austin, by using a paper ballot, i hope you now understand that your vote did not count (and never will.)
Of course, few of our votes counted, unless you wanted Mitt.

Did Dana DeBouvoire tell you that?

We had SOME proof, but RNC does not care about Rules n Laws- they just break and then change 'em to suit whomever (not PAUL).

I do not know a Dana DeBouvoire

If I somewhere implied that I know this person, then...well...nothing, since you'd be confusing me with some other person.
So, to reiterate, I am saying that the electronic voting machines should be taken out back and shot.
As in ‘not for use’. I was not implying that you could have fair elections simply by using a paper ballot while the majority still use the machines, as, you are correct, they will not even be counted.
But if there were no DREs, your paper ballot would count, as there would/should be nothing else to use for the purpose of casting a vote.

Not to try would be even worse!

What is being attempted here, is the right way to go, regardless of the outcome!

The liberty movement has been attempting every possible peaceful way to find remedies to the corrupt side of the GOP.

I’m so proud of the Ron Paul supporters around the country, and how they handled themselves while enduring the lawless crap they’ve had to go through.

As for our county convention it run extremely fair, with none of the shenanigans I’ve heard about from other Ron Paul supporters. My heart goes out to those who did not experience what we did.

The Winds of Change!

I hear you, but I would challenge you,

just as a little Gedankenexperiment, or intellectual exercise, even, to play devil's advocate for a moment, and actually answer the above questions (pretend that you do not agree with yourself). Just see what you come up with…

LOL Wie viele hier meinst du das verstehen koennen?

You did a very nice job in putting this all together.

Just want you to know, PollMan, that I appreciate your steadi-

ness and level-headed-ness in this whole movement.

Anyone who reads the filing would vigorously get behind this effort.

These dedicated souls need funds. LibertyUSA PAC has a delegate bomb button and can take unlimited donations. Will be launching the bomb shortly. The first bit of funds will go to pay re-imburse Mr. Gilbert for the filing fees.
