Your father never endorsed a Republican presiential nominee. How do you expect to achieve a reputation for honesty and commitment with this apparent sell-out to the power elite of the same party. Or don't you care?

Malo Periculosam Libertatem Quam Quietum Servitium
On y soit qui mal y pense

2 Questions

1. Ask Rand Paul how the Citizens United Supreme Court Ruling (a Koch brothers pet project, for obvious reasons) helped him win the election to the Kentucky State Senate.

As Joshua Holland details for AlterNet, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission may have provided a lifetime supply of get-out-of-jail-free cards to corporate criminals.

Undue corporate influence over U.S. elections has been a serious problem in American politics for decades, but the Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission made things worse. Worst of all, we may never know the extent of the damage.

Citizens United freed corporations to spend unlimited amounts of money backing specific political candidates, and without congressional action, those expenditures can be completely anonymous. Major corporations have been capitalizing on the new legal landscape by the millions, and the public doesn’t really know who is buying what influence or why.

The Kentucky senate race serves as a prime example. The Democratic candidate, Jack Conway, who was Kentucky’s attorney general, was prosecuting a nursing home for allegedly covering up the sexual abuse of one of its residents during the 2010 election campaign.

That nursing home was owned by Terry Forcht, a millionaire who gives prodigiously to right-wing causes. He poured money into Karl Rove’s organization, American Crossroads GPS, which ran ads backing Conway’s Republican opponent, Rand Paul, who came away with the victory.

2. Ask Rand Paul why should we be asking taxpayers to stay at work 12.5% or more longer when all we need to do is return tax levels for the rich to the levels they were at back in the 1960′s?

The Fox News Zombies repeat the Koch brothers’ agenda messages incessantly. And then you’ll hear Republican politicians, particularly the Koch-backed Tea Party types, re-iterating the line. What’s wrong with this picture?…

Paul Ryan: $63,000 received from the Koch campaign – “[All we need is] very modest increases in the retirement age.”

John Boehner: $30,000 received from the Koch campaign – “…and eventually getting the retirement age up to 70 is a step that needs to be made.”

Rand Paul: $17,000 received from the Koch campaign- “…the age on Social Security will have to go up.”

do you have a better understanding of the concept of BLOW BACK yet?

Rand should have listened to the man who said this...

The original American patriots were those individuals brave enough to resist with force the oppressive power of King George. I accept the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist oppressive state power. The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility, and out of self interest -- for himself, his family, and the future of his country -- to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state.

Guess who? Ron Paul. Rand is a coward.

Can't wait for these questions to be asked:

1. When will you be poising for pictures with Governor Romney and will you be autographing them for everyone at all of your scheduled events?

2. Will the caption read?: Thank you Rand for your endorsement and for supporting me instead of your father. We are forging a new Liberty-Tyranny Coalition, one that will win in November.

Love this! Romney's Zombies are negging all

comments like these, so I give it a huge thumbs up!

Thats exactly what I was thinking

I see most of the coments are that Judas betrayed his father his family and his future generations. But then I see all the neg, It appears to be just one more of the money grubbers games, they probably hired a bunch of unemployed dimwits to sit at the computer and hit the minus on all coments against Rand.

Its one big puppet show, and in the end the audiance is brainwashed.

SteveMT's picture

I'm trying to understand by asking questions, ......

because now I do not understand.

If I just endorsed someone for president that I am going to support, and also campaign for, I would want some pictures taken to document this endorsement. I would want news of that endorsement to be spread far and wide to maximize its positive effect, especially with people who supported me. I would be proud of that endorsement because I am aligning myself with this person who I believe will be the next president before time.

Isn't this normal?

Yes, agreed, again. Rand was a coward to endorse

Romney but is also a coward for not defending his endorsement! Buyer's remorse?

Could someone please provide

Could someone please provide a link and a time for that interview? Thanks.

Blessings )o(

My Questions

1) Personally, I think one of the highest priority reforms that this country needs is a reform of the voting process itself. We ABSOLUTELY MUST go to paper ballots. And we need to change the way the votes are counted. The average citizen MUST be allowed to view the voting process and the counting of the votes. Can you find out if Rand will go along with this and make sure that it's taken very seriously when they come up w/ the party platform?

2) Romney is known as a flip-flopper. And his campaign made the etch-a-sketch comment (basically saying that they can say one thing in the primary and then it can get wiped away - the way one can clear a picture off an etch-a-sketch - and say something entirely different during the general election). Having said that, what makes Rand think that his input into the party platform will actually be followed-up on?

what does he think about all these comments?

I really wanna know what he thinks about all these comments? Other than that I don't really have any questions for him. it's quite obvious what he has done to each and everyone of us who all had an impact in this movement in one way or another.

1. You supported auditing Goldman Sachs or aleast stopping the subsidies to them before you became Senator. What are your views today about this?
2. Romney and Mitch Daniels and other Congressmen were at the 2012 Bilderberg meeting in Virginia a month ago. How do you feel about their appearance there violated the Logan Act?
3. Do you believe in eliminating Foreign Aid?
4. Do you believe in the U.S.'s continual policing of the world and the starting of unprovoked wars?
5. What difference is their between a Libertarian and GOP Conservative?
6. Why Why couldn't you of waited to make your annnouncement of endorcing Romney until after the winner in Tampa was announced? All of the delegates are unbound and therefore they can vote their conscience.
7. Do you feel their was fraud involved during this primary election season?
8. If Romney has cut a deal with you, do you feel that your position in his administration will influence him in any way?
9. Finally, do you feel that your support for Romney has tainted your name and your fathers?

(1) In what significant ways do you see your voting diverging from that of your Father. (2) Which Presidents were your favorites and why? (3) What can we do to most effectively advance the Liberty movement? (4) What important lessons have you learned so far? (5) What NON TP/Liberty Federal politicians, appointees, and judges do you find most open to the cause of Liberty (recognizing that, at least for a time, we need to work with what we have and we should perhaps try harder to influence those who are most worthy of supporting who are already in office...for example, the politicians who dared to speak out for or endorse Ron Paul during the primary process)? There are probably some more questions I have, but mostly I'm expecting him to continue to support the causes he has previously either identified explicitly or via his voting record. I am very pleased with Rand Paul's performance so far, I made a pretty large donation to his original election, and I hope to support him in his future endeavors. I'm not in favor of asking him too many probing questions about the specifics of his motivations in coming out to endorse Romney (once Romney had the nomination all sewn up, btw). I am in the club which feels that pushing him too far on that is actually pushing him to speak to long term strategy and I think that is best kept quiet; READING HIS LIPS IS NOT NEARLY SO IMPORTANT AS READING HIS VOTING RECORD.

Bill of Rights /Amendment X: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Do you need a politician or judge to "interpret" those 28

Senator Rand Paul,

which are you: an idiot, or a liar?

Because you stated that "the nominating process is over", and used that as a pretext for announcing your support of Romney. However, only an idiot doesn't know that the nominating process is not over, and only a liar would claim that it was (and use it as the pretext for such a significant announcement) when they knew otherwise.

And assuming you are a liar (because I don't think you're that big an idiot), do you have any idea how much harm you do to the liberty movement by lying? Of course, since I've already concluded you are a liar, I guess I don't really care what your answer is. (And that right there is some of that harm.)

When you say Romney has been supportive of auditing the fed throughout the campaign, are you referring to the same Mitt Romney who stated I'm not going to focus on the Fed?

When you say "we had a very good and I think honest discussion about a lot of these things", do you really expect us to believe that Romney is capable of being honest?

When you say "and I think that he realizes and believes as I do that war is the last resort and something that we don't rush willy-nilly into", are you talking about this Mitt Romney who is ready to go to war with Iran to prevent them from getting a nuke they aren't even constructing?

Such dishonesty is extremely corrosive to the liberty movement. The liberty movement is a movement of principle, and honesty needs to be one of those principles because dishonesty obscures truth and without truth it is impossible to make rational decisions to further all of the other principles we care about. So, do you really believe you can achieve liberty through dishonesty, or is your goal something else entirely?

After hearing Rand

After hearing Rand interviewed by Peter Schiff, I am more willing to give Rand the benefit of the doubt. However, the question that begs to be asked is: Why endorse Romney at this time on Hannity's show?

Couldn't Rand have stated that he would support whoever the nominee was at the Tampa convention? Or, if not, couldn't Rand have published an Opt-Ed in a major newspaper explaining why he would endorse Romney? Did he really have to do this way on Hannity's show?

I just listened to the

I just listened to the interview as well. I would encourage everyone else to do the same. Peter and Rand both make very good points.

Let's not forget that we pride ourselves in our rational thinking. Not pragmatic... but rational.

I've seen many comments that are driven by irrational emotion, instead of objective logic. Open your minds to some of the points that Schiff makes with Rand. This is not the end of the world, Rand is not Judas or Satan, and he should still play a big roll in the liberty movement.

I thought about two

I thought about two reasons:

One, the announcement wasn't to us. It was to the mainstream conservatives and neocons that Paul is on board. We would get mad no matter where he announced it.

Two, like him or not, Hannity has a large viewership. It's where Ron Paul announced his candidacy for President.

liberty lover in Nor Cal!

Senator, does Romney really support auditing the Fed ????

Senator, when exactly did Romney publicly state that he wanted to audit the Fed and wanted more oversight and transparency of the Fed as you recently claimed?

Note: In this video clip Obama clone, professional flip-flopper and etch-a-sketch candidate Romney supports Ben Bernanke and the Fed.

Rand is still doing great things

Sen. Rand Paul joins Oregon Sen. Wyden's push for legal hemp:

Sen. Paul says no to domestic drones

If anyone else did these two things, we would be praising them. We held Rand up to an impossible bar set by his dad. I am very disappointed with his endorsement of Romney, but let's still give credit where credit is due. Rand goes where many politicians don't dare to go.

I see there are a few down

I see there are a few down votes... Would you mind explaining yourselves?

Can I assume that you are AGAINST legal hemp and FOR domestic drones since you do not endorse my comment?

There is an old saying: Even a broken clock is right twice

a day. So no, I am not against legal hemp or for domestic drones. The question is: Is Romney? When you endorse someone you endorse their positions. If you don't and endorse them anyway, that makes you a hypocrite, a fraud, and a liar.

It's the other 22 hours that count.

Your analogy does not make

Your analogy does not make sense... at all.

Just think about most of Ron's campaign adds this year. They were all about the concept that actions speak louder than words. He called out the other candidates for their actions. Rand's actions have been stellar in my opinion.

"When you endorse someone you endorse their positions."

This is completely false. I'm sure Ron Paul would endorse Gary Johnson if he were running for senate or a similar position... does this mean that Ron Paul now endorses a pro-choice stance? No. Although I wouldn't endorse Romney, and I'm glad Ron Paul won't, Rand is a big boy and can make his own decisions. I'm open and optimistic about his strategy. It is easy enough to endorse specific positions one by one... that is the great thing about free thought.

When Murray Rothbard "endorsed" Bush Sr., he pointed out that both candidates were bozos who wanted to rule us... but he humored us with an endorsement of the least bad candidate. I do wish Rand would have worded his endorsement similarly... but he is a Senator, after all, and is thinking about the future of the liberty movement... and not just the present satisfaction of his dad's supporters. Romney will be forgotten in 20 years, as will this petty endorsement. Rand can make changes that will last in perpetuity.

I say, let's be a little more optimistic, let Rand run with this plan, and see what happens. Stop the hate. re3VOLution.

It makes perfect sense...if you endorse someone you are de facto

accepting their positions. Otherwise, why do it?

And, wait for what? More excuses and defensive from Rand? No, thanks.

I do not hate anyone, I'm too old and have been through too much political BS to hate anyone. But I'm not blind either. And if it walks like a duck...and so on.

Rand made his choice willingly and with gusto. Now he has to live with the consequences.

Your clock analogy did not

Your clock analogy did not make sense. It just doesn't fit.

So, can I get a direct answer?... You think that if Ron Paul endorsed Gary Johnson it means that Ron Paul is suddenly pro-choice??

Yes or no...

One more time...Ron Paul would not endorse Gary Johnson

or anyone else with whom he had vast policy differences. He did not endorse McCain or Bush. He endorsed Reagan and regretted it. He learned.

So your question is moot.

And I am not surprised at all that you didn't get the clock analogy.

Just as I suspected. No

Just as I suspected. No answer.

I'm arguing against your point that endorsing someone equals accepting all of their positions. Ron Paul has endorsed plenty of people who don't share positions with him. Do they all support legal weed and heroine? If Gary Johnson were running for Senate, there is no doubt in my mind that Paul would endorse him... like he is doing for other Senate and House hopefuls who are even less about liberty than Gary Johnson.

My question is not moot. You've created a separate argument and proved that Ron Paul didn't endorse McCain or Bush (and speculated that he wouldn't endorse Johnson). That's great... but it's a straw man.

It is simple... you think that by endorsing a person, you endorse each of their positions vicariously. This is the argument... and it is false.

Now let's try the "yes or no" again. Hypothetically, IF Ron Paul endorsed Gary Johnson in a Senate run, would that mean that Ron Paul is now Pro Choice?

Here's an actual example... SINCE Ron Paul endorsed Thomas Massie, and Thomas Massie is AGAINST legalizing drugs, does this mean that Ron Paul is AGAINST legalizing drugs as well?

Yes or no?

Oh, and no matter how much you want your clock analogy to make sense... it doesn't.

One more time...the clock analogy...

There are 24 hours in a day. The broken clock is right twice a day = 2 hours.

The other 22 are broken. So, YES I would support Thomas Massie if Ron Paul endorsed him if the MAJORITY of positions (hours) Msssie holds are the same as Ron Paul's - and mine.

Now as to Rand and his endorsement of Romney and Romney's positions. If MOST of Rand's stated positions (hours) are opposite of Romney's - and they are - then why did he endorse him? You haven't answered that question, have you?

You've been dodging and weaving that because you can't. So your self-righteous indignation is just hot air. If you support Rand's decision, fine. I don't. But your defensiveness speaks volumes.

You've got to be joking.... I

You've got to be joking.... I understand "the clock analogy" .... But it doesn't make sense the way you are trying to apply it. Ask a friend to help you out next time.

Oh now I'm "dodging and weaving"? That's pretty funny, since you haven't even posed a question until now... Meanwhile I've posted three simple "yes or no" questions and all you've done is created off topic arguments which "prove" off topic points. You've yet to answer the question because it proves you wrong. You're still ignoring my original argument. Since you can't stay on topic or answer simple questions I'm going to have to withdraw myself from this useless debate.

Take care.

Would you endorse...

Would you endorse Zimmerman just because you are on the same neighborhood watch program together? Or would you choose the very viable option of saying nothing? Saying nothing is always a viable option aside from endorsing into something you feel is not just and represents neither pro or con of the situation.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Trupatriot... I agree. I wish

Trupatriot... I agree. I wish Rand Paul wouldn't have endorsed Mitt. I would not endorse Mitt. Belle tried to change the argument to whether it was a prudent decision. That is not the argument...

Rand endorsed Mitt... The point is that this doesn't mean that Rand is suddenly for attacking Iran and for the FED, and for the drug war... The argument is ridiculous and I can't believe that belle hasn't caught on yet.

Only one question for Rand

Did your Dad convince you to endorse Romney or did you try to convince your dad?

Truth and liberty are mutually inseparable.

When do the compromises stop?

When do the compromises stop?

When do the compromises stop?

When do the compromises stop?

Did any higher ups threaten your family

to make you shut up and approve of Romney? Do you think it is time for the Liberty movement to surge forward without a leading figurehead like Ron Paul?

If he was threatened,

he's not about to broadcast it. Don't ask that first question.

Et tu, Brute?

Sums it up nicely.

What does it mean to endorse someone?

He didn't endorse many ideas. He mentioned they both have 5 children. What could be more irrelevant.

Did I blink & miss

where Ron Paul has OFFICIALLY quit the race?
Further I can't find where the Goldman Sachs backed candidate, Willard Romney (throughout his campaign) wants to audit, reform, or abolish the privately owned Federal Reserve.
DR, Rand Paul, please correct me if I am right, or explain the false narrative. (mis-spoke, lied, teleprompter error, etc.?)

Project Endorse Romney, please read

I have this idea, that we should create a facebook or website page that lists any republicans endorsing romney. so we can vote them out hold them accountable and remove them from office. Project endorse Romney so we can vote them out. sounds like a decent Project goal. any facebook folks interested or think it might be a good idea to have a republican list to vote against state to state. you wanna endorse romney? Then great let us educate voters and vote them out. You wanna endorse romney? fine then your next inline to expel.

Ron Paul 2016

haha a romney supporter or

haha a romney supporter or est person voted it down. sounds like someone didn't want to rock the boat. all votes should be public, shame there is not a tab listing votes up or down. would be interesting to know.

Ron Paul 2016

just seems to me anyone willing to endorse romney has

0/zero/nada credibility.

Ron Paul 2016

The entire campaign has been about bringing the maximum number of delegates to the Tampa convention. The Ron Paul supporters have worked their tails off to maximize their numbers, and we all know that there are many stealth Ron Paul delegates. While it may be very true that we don't have the numbers, why not wait until after the convention to officially endorse Romney? Ron Paul is still officially in the race and his supporters, an optimistic bunch, need to see how all of this plays out. Why aren't you, Dr. Paul, waiting to see the outcome before making this endorsement?

That is the million dollar question.

It is futile to fight against, if one does not know what one is fighting for. -Ayn Rand

What is the fundemental difference?

What is the fundemental difference between Romney and Obama?

The endorsement just doesn't make sense. To me it would be like The Biggest Loser endorsing McDonalds or PETA endorsing Swamp People (I love that show). When it all boils down, I have a hard time discerning the difference between Romney and Obama. To me, this election represents the rise of the American people to take a stand against the status-quo. Rand endorsing Romney represents finding a middle ground. I am tired of compromise. I desire freedom.

that's easy to answer!

Excellent Video!!!

Everyone of us needs to keep this video! Send it to anyone who says they are going to vote for Romney because he is republican. (like my mother-in-law) and show it to everyone that will watch it!
