I think you are exactly right
however, it is worth mentioning some of these things on his intentions because he is trying to eat from the same hand his father did and he did little to help. He is trying to gain from a pool of principles without showing any himself in this endorsement. He is an elected representative, it is not his job to tell us we need to compromise- it instead is our job to tell him we will not. There are 20 year old college kids that did more to help his father in this election than he did. I think it is insulting for him and others to spin this as a compromise for the betterment of the liberty movement and thinks by saying the key phrase "audit the fed" (which will not be a real audit) he can just pull us all along with him. Absolutely insulting.
You're right, but I don't
You're right, but I don't think he will tell the people to compromise. We shall see.
Romney supports
NDAA, agressive foreign wars, the Patriot Act, foreign aid, the drug war, among other liberty-trampling policies, and has also not proposed any significant spending cuts. By endorsing Romney, are you endorsing these positions? Please address them one by one.

Question for Rand
I live in KY, your state. My question is that even considering the nomination of Romney a done deal, why as a supposed member of the liberty movement did you make no attempt at all to campaign or do anything to help your father in this state- as delegates would have been awarded with just 2% more votes. Obviously we were never going to win KY, however, hasn't your father this entire time been telling us to get to tampa and at least help shape the platform? All you had to do was let people know he was still on the ballot and we would have gotten the 2%.
That's a really good question. It's shocking that Rand...
...did not campaign for his father in Kentucky.
The greater scandal underlying the endorsement firestorm is that it betrays a fraud perpetrated by the official campaign on the grassroots. We all were led to believe that the campaign was in it to win it, that they had a strategy. But so many data points now indicate that that's only what they led us to believe (to max out our donations?) and the official campaign's real agenda was something else entirely.
The final slap in the face was the final money bomb timed to squeeze the last penny out of the grassroots before they pulled the plug. That's when I hit my $2,500 limit. Mission accomplished! Benton gets a new wing added to his McMansion. Olson gets to launder his share back into the subversive spook state from whence he came. Life is good for the poli-TICK-o's who have attached themselves like leaches to our hero.
Actually, that was the second to last slap in the face. The final slap was Rand's endorsement.
how was it the campaign found
how was it the campaign found themselves "broke" right after the money bomb and supposedly unable to spend any money for campaigning in places like CA and TX? or was the campaign horrible mismanager of funds (sounds like our gov't) and saving nothing for a state a large as CA? i never understood that statement that they were out of funds and would not be campaigning any further when there was a money bomb so recently before that. follow the money.
money already diverted
I hate to add fuel to this fire, but it needs to be brought to a head and disposed of.
A couple weeks ago, I got a call from (?) Young Americans for Liberty. It sounded like a solicitation call so I politely cut him off saying I gave all my money to Ron Paul. Then he said something to the effect...we're already making use of those funds. As if the campaign had already given up and was diverting funds.
Its great to forgive, but that doesn't mean they qualify as "leader"!
That is a lot of emotion and little fact.
I posted that Ron needed to lead us. In my opinion, been following this campaign every single day since the Rudy/Ron moment, Ron just needed to understand how to lead.
I believe, he believes that it is only the message that matters. George Washington was a leader. Thomas Jefferson was a leader. Ron Paul is a messenger.
I understand how pissed off you are. I was too. Calm down a little. Take a day off...
Im still with Ron. Im still pissed Rand didnt use the moment to support Romney and SPEAK TO JUDGE NAPOLITANO NEXT TO CHILL OUT THE GRASSROOTS THAT GOT HIS ASS ELECTED.
What this campaign LACKS is Public Relations people that know what the hell they are doing. Hire me. Ill charge ya $100,000 and get the job done correctly.
Dont take off just yet.. You have invested alot of time and money.. as we all have.
Ron Paul and Rand should be interviewed TOGETHER. That would chill everyone out. Docs.. You guys are playing politics and you know it. Figure out how to explain it to us!!!
Dont mean to drain your post. I just understand where you are at.
'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul
You make some good points...
...their PR is horrible. The official campaign's disconnect with what is happening to the grassroots in the trenches is appalling. Silence as their supporters are getting bodily injured by establishment goons at state conventions. Silence as the GOP establishment breaks every rule in the book to keep us marginalized.
No, even worse than silence. We get lectures about being respectful to our assailants, followed by more blue sky and moneybomb appeals; mailboxes full of Romney-mail, suggesting that they've cashed in on "the list;" and weird endorsements of candidates with dubious liberty credentials, culminating in the ultimate anti-liberty endorsement by Rand.
They need more than a PR guy. They need a purge. Ron and Rand Paul has not been well served by Benton/Olson and company, nor have we.
You should have asked for a face to face interview
This revolution is just getting started!
And on camera
So we could watch him squirm.
debt vs. war question
Do you endorse Romney's foreign policy? How do you reconcile fiscal responsibility at home with overseas spending - such as foreign aid and military intervention?
Whats the payoff?
The only thing we want to know is what is Rand Paul getting in exchange for his endorsement?
You might as well not do the interview if that question doesnt get answered truthfully.
Question for Rand Paul.
Who would make a better vice president for Ron Paul: Dennis Kucinich or Mitt Romney?
http://progressivesforronpaul.blogspot.com/
Well, he seems like he is in
Well, he seems like he is in favor of invading, plundering and pillaging smaller countries. He voted for sanctions which hurt children (and our own economy). This is belying the fact that he has claimed to be Christian, in my opinion. Why did he vote for sanctions and continuation of an unconstitutional and literally persecutive war policy, like that of Alexander the Great??
Part of the Problem or Part of the Solution?
My question is simple: Do you belive Republicans blindly supporting (or endorsing) candidates just because they have an (R) by their names is what created a "conservative" party that starts wars, adds to the deficit, raises debt ceilings, bails out banks, and tramples civil liberties?
Our forefathers fought for freedom on the battlefield. Our generation will fight for freedom by educating the electorate. I rant on the web. I am a Virtual Soldier.
He's just going to say...
My father ran a hard fought campaign but he doesn't have enough delegates to win the nomination so now we should all focus on removing Obama...blah,blah,blah...lesser of two evils...blah,blah. The truth is either the Pauls have tricked us, or they were threatened, I would like to think the latter.
Dear Rand Paul,
What WERE you thinking?
Sincerely,
MrSparex
Hello Kurt,Check This Out
..And you can pose a truly insightful, polite question to Rand.

Even Alex Jones wouldn't have surmised this.
Also ask Rand if he ever met Senator Denton?
Thanks Kurt...keep the chin up!

Senator, what do you think
Senator, what do you think would have been the consequences of not endorsing Romney? Do you think you would have lost influence in the Senate or lost your seat entirely in 2016?
(The Endorse. questions is handled) What about Gay Marriage com?
OK- So others are clearly asking the question on the Romney Endorsement- I'd like to hear his response on that also... BUT!
ONE QUESTION- I really have for him is essentially- Does he not realize that a lot of the Revolution 'base' is young people (THE FUTURE OF THE PARTY AND POLITICS) ?? So why then did he say comments concerning gay marriage that clearly isolated many of us?
I was VERY let down by his partisan speech over gay marriage and Obama support for gay marriage... (I think Obama is just using gay/lesbian individuals-- he doesn't care about them, but that is another story all together.)
I have been a STRONG, STRONG supporter since early 2007. I have converted my whole family-Neo-Cons (Mormon!) in to voting for Ron Paul over Romney.
*I AM ALSO GAY*- and the head of Ron Paul's campaign KENT SNYDER in 2007 (The person who helped convince Ron Paul to run in 2008, whom also later died of pnemonia) was openly gay and gave his life to the cause...
I don't know how deeply you disillusioned many of us with the comments over "Obama's position on gay marriage could not get ANY GAYER." The word 'Gay' being used that way is always done in a hateful manner- using 'GAY' in the place of the word LAME; Gay=Lame is their implication. I'm NOT ASKING (nor need) for people to agree with my sexual orientation- BUT I 'DO' expect people to get the hell out of my way and allow me to make contractual agreeents with whomever I choose. I DO think the state should be out of the business of marriage- but since it is not, the laws keep me from passing on property, estate, visiting my loved one dying in the hostpital, tax reductions, (just to name a few.)
So WHY does it sound like he has taken on all of the arguments of the Neo-Conservative base? Individuals I have fought so long and hard against. I know MANY, MANY young people who became ***MUCH*** less motivated for the cause of "Liberty, and Freedom,'" when suddenly they feel they are helping a cause that is suddenly taking a line from the Neo-Conservative base- (haters of freedom and individual responsibility.)
HOW does he expect to mend the gap and damage done by these comments; comments that are the same type of 'bully speech' so many kids face today in their daily lives? Because he shot himself and the movement in the foot with that speech. To some extent I understand the Romney Endorsement could have been political strategy- however the speech and incredible resistance to allowing gays to make contract agreements with whomever they want makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER for a movement that is based on "Liberty and pesonal Responsibility"...
--Just as I have heard you Rand Paul quote-Ricky on 'I Love Lucy' Say, "YOU GOT SOME 'SPLAININ' TO DO!"
Before 'I' am willing to battle on your behalf to "defend Freedom."

Question Regarding Mit Romney and Audit for Fed
Rand, with all due respect. During your endorsement of Mitt Romney, you stated that he told you that he believes in Auditing the Federal Reserve. I have not seen one video of Mitt Romney ever making this statement. What I have seen is Mitt Romney stating that he does not want to audit the Fed and that he does not want to go after Ben Bernake. Your statement leave me very confused. Can you please tell us what Mitt Romney told you specifically during your conversation with him exactly how he feels about the Fed and what he believes needs to be done.
Thank you
Carl
How about an exclusive
How about an exclusive interview with Ron Paul??????
My question....
It seems immoral to support any nominee without thought so what advantage is there in doing so?
I'll probably get downvoted for this
but I would also like to hear Rand's honest opinion regarding all of the accusations made by Alex Jones that both he and Ron "sold out." I would really appreciate one question about Alex Jones.
It would be funny if Rand
It would be funny if Rand uses the word "cointelpro" to label ALex Jones. I would go nuts! I hate that word! lol
Rand
Isn't it true that there is no actual nominee until the delegates vote in florida?
Enonesoch
Natural Born Citizen
Rand, would you continue to support Romney if he were not a natural born citizen (due to his father not being a citizen) and/or if Rubio were VP, as Rubio is not natural born?
Rubio's Cuban parents did not become citizens until he was 4 years old.

Questions For Rand Paul?
No, I think mhy questions were answered the other night on Hannity's show.
I have no other interest in anything Rand Paul has to say. By supporting Romney, he has made his position on matters quite clear.
He has his right to express his opinion, as do I.
Doing this in public, on Shawn Hannity's neocon T.V. broadcast, 3 months before the GOP convention, with clear evidence that voter fraud is widespread, and Ron Paul still in the race, is not only a betrayal of the man's father, but makes his position clear on the fact that he is content with Obama (as Romney has NO disagreement with any salient issue). NDAA, drones in U.S. airspace, TSA, Fast and Furious, the FED, the oil wars, nationalized health care, warrantless wiretapping, ballooning defecits,
Israel First' foreign policy, bailouts, etc., etc., etc.
No, Mr. Rand Paul, your position is clear as crystal now, and you are allying with the domestic enemies of this free nation of states, and the Constitution.
I have a question for Kurt Wallace, though.
WHY are you giving this person airtime?

People are Spewing Venom, Not Well thought Questions.
Most sensible questions have already been posted. Do not type same questions over and over again.
Do not flood Kurt Wallace with garbage. The elite are mocking at you with all this half baked garbage you are posting.
Just vote up or down the existing questions.
I posted one well thought question on demographics which I believe is far more relevant than questions on whether Rand read a certain book on anarcho-libertarianism or not.
This is not a AP exam for Rand on libertarianism.
So do not post garbage and rants. If you feel hurt and outraged, run for Senate yourself and prove yourself.
I repeat, Please stick to original, well thought questions, or vote up the questions you like.

Shuddup! Most people don't
Shuddup! Most people don't have time to scroll thru hundreds of post to make sure their questions haven't been asked. ASk away folks!!!
Did it Ever Occurr To You
That if enough people ask the SAME questions, that these questions night actually get asked?
This IS 'the Daily Paul', NOT 'Kumar's Facebook Page', and the people here are righteously indignat at the actions of this turncoat traitor to THEM DIRECTLY, so I trust that you will not continue to use vague genaralizations and non-sequitor personal attacks ('half baked garbage') when referring to questions that need to be posed to this 'senator' from Kentucky.
this is not a frigging 'popu;larity contest' where the contestant's voices are 'voted up or down'. This is an historic battle for the future of MY nation. Keep that in mind.

And has it ever occured to you
there is something called the "vote up" button? Vote up, no need to rehash the same question and take up more board space man.
Who did you discuss your Romney endorsement with
before you decided to give it?
New Hampshire and Ecuador.
this question
has already been posted 10 times already. Why dont you scroll down and vote up or down?

Guess what,
if I don't scroll all the way down (I did scroll down 7 or 8) there's a good chance others won't either so the best questions maybe SHOULD appear over and over. I'm not out to steal credit from anyone but neither do I feel compelled to do back flips to make sure someone else hasn't already thought of it.
New Hampshire and Ecuador.
why...
Why didn't Rand wait until after convention to endorse Romney. Why did he say the nominating process is over when technically Ron Paul is still in it and still has a chance to win.
pgrady
Yes, the big question!
Why, Dr Rand Paul, couldn't you have waited until after the convention??? After the people you supported you morally and monetarily had their say up to and through the convention. Especially since most of those folks are so diametrically opposed to everything Mr. Romney stands for. Or, should I say, flip-flopps on like a chameleon. Speaking of a chameleon, how about the one issue that should be the litmus test for all Christians...the life issue...Willard-Mitt-Romney could never be the one speaking from his bully pulpit with sincerity against abortion, could he? Let me go on...regarding the life issue. You do not seem as opposed to sanctions on various nations as your father is. Sanctions are a form of war. And you do not seem to be as much against interventionist war and world government as your father, either. The undeclared wars and "nation building" of the Bush administrations killed many innocent civilian lives, yet it seems that you would like to continue those policies through a rubber stamp of those policies: a Romney administration:-(
Yes, I did contribute to your 2010 campaign for U.S. Senate and I'm starting to feel very uneasy about that contribution! I am from Wisconsin. Voted for Reagan every time he was on the ballot here in Wisconsin, starting in 1976. I also voted for Ronald Reagan's worst mistake as president: his running mate in 1988. In hindsight, it should have been your father in 1988 that I voted for. I vow to never support a Bush clone ever again. Romney is a Bush clone if I ever saw one. Have you read "Family of Secrets" by Russ Baker?
I wrote in Ron Paul in 2008 and will surely do the same and encourage others to do the same if Willard-Mitt-Romney is the nominee in 2012! It may be only the evil of another four years of Obama that finally wakes this country fron its stupor! Sorry to say.
Mike
Wisconsin
Its great to forgive, but that doesn't mean they qualify as "leader"!
Question for Rand:
At what point did you realize that the nomination was a done deal and your father would not win?
Do you think there has been any voter fraud, ballot stuffing or other shenanigans that might have impacted the outcome of the Republican nomination?
How am I supposed to answer,
The questions I am now getting on my facebook page and from my friends and family in real life?
"Why would you vote for a candidate who's own son will not endorse him?"
After all the facebook posting and forum trolling and sign waving, saying that I would not vote for anyone that believed in the patriot act and the NDAA, and any real liberty lover would not do so either, I am now having to explain your actions to people. I did my part in giving money and donating my time, and doing what I could to get the message out there. I'd like to know how I'm supposed to ask people to vote for Ron Paul, when they can point to you and say, "His own son isn't even endorsing him. Why don't you do as he did and just vote for Romney? This way we can all unite and get Obama out of office."
Here is a list of some responses on my FB page from this morning:
"Haha, looks like your man caved." - With a picture of Rand
"See this is just how politics works. It's just the way of things. Not saying Ron Paul is a bad guy he has his good points, but we HAVE to get Obama out of office."
"So let me get this straight....You want me to vote for someone that doesn't have a hell's hope in winning? Face it, he's lost. I know you've been preacvhing for some time now, but it's just over."
"In before you make excuses for Ron. Love ya. :)" - Link to youtube video of Rand's endorsement.
Let alone the call I'll be getting, I'm sure very soon from an extremely anti-obama republican (note i didn't say pro-romney), from my aunt, who I've been pestering recently. With any luck she'll be nice and won't bring up your endorsement. But I doubt it.
sounds like you annoy them
sounds like you annoy them honestly
If by annoy
You mean try to educate and convince them of a worthy cause. Then yes. I annoy the hell out of them. Probably very much like RP annoys every other politician in Washington. The truth often times is hated, scorned and pushed aside.
Also, thank you for not adding anything of value to this discussion.
Kurt, thank you so much for having taken the initiative to
contact Sen. Rand Paul's office and request an interview. This was the right thing to do and exactly what was needed to give us a chance to clear the air.
Debbie
Who is your favorite Beatle?
Why?
Paul...of course
Rand's endorsement of Romney actually mirrors the rumor of "Paul is dead" from the Beatles. The establishment will fall for it. It's up to us to take full advantage of it.

Why
Why did you openly lie in your interview with Hannity?
Romney does not support auditing the fed.
The race is not over Romney does not have the nomination yet.
Do you realize what you have done? Why did you do it?
The Abuse of Greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power. - Shakespeare
No offense, but let's move on.
Besides, Rand's endorsement actually helps us in Tampa by making the establishment think we've given up. How many Romney delegates will end up having a Ron Paul alternate go to Tampa in their place? Maybe only a few, but I think there will definitely be more because of Rand's endorsement. They might even let Ron Paul delegates participate rather than completely marginalizing us. (our estimated 20% of the delegates could easily be ignored by the establishment). It is almost as if Rand sacrificed his character and anti-establishment image to give us a fighting chance at the National Convention. Remember, the establishment looks at us like "trouble-making occupiers" even though we strictly adhere to Robert's Rules. I also think that Rand's facial expressions were strange during the interview: He looked nauseous and pissed off, like he wanted to kick Sean Hannity in the nuts the whole time...or maybe that is just me imposing my own emotions on him. Whatever...let's move on and kick butt in Tampa!

It is now showing up in several Texas precincts the vote totals were reversed between Paul and Romney. There were exit polls done and people signed affidavits and such. Long story short, it will most likely be proven. This has happened in every state. Some will have proof, others won't.
Once America finds out the truth about the way the GOP cheated your dad,
what do you think America will think about them?
What do you think the people will think about Romney?
If you saw the proof and knew it to be true, would you still support Romney and if the answer is yes, do you think Americans would still respect you for endorsing him?
What would you think about a 60 Minutes show on Trygve Olson and how he and the GOP railroaded your Dad's campaign?
