The passing of an era

The most honest individual to ever walk on Capital Hill. From state to state we wonder how many votes and delegates actually belong to Ron Paul but when it comes to his number 14 territory we know that he should have received almost 100%. That one area should tell us that delegates have probably been stolen from him in every state, yet he didn't fight it. He has allowed us to do the fighting for him. What an awesome president he would make if elected. No matter what happens in Tampa My vote will go for Ron Paul. If his name isn't on the ballet I will write it in, but one thing stands out in stark contrast to these developments, Ron Paul has begun a movement that is much larger than he is, a movement that will continue and grow larger in time until we will be saying "peace and safety". God bless you Doctor Paul, you are a healer in many ways.

Very beautifully said Camery, and thank you, 1777, for this

wonderful remembrance of this most wonderful man who has inspired a movement for many decades to come.

Debbie

Is that all!??? No part 2, 3, 4...

LOL. Wish all his constituents during his 4 decade service would write in with their personal observations. That's a book I'd buy. Long live Ron and Lovey.

Great post 1777free4all. TY!

"If you want something you've never had before, you have to do something you've never done before." Debra Medina

Thank You.

This was heart warming.

I do not see this kind of devotion to constitutents from the Weber/Harris choice we have here in 14.

The passing of an era.

This post should be included among Dr Paul's...

future memoirs!! The expected readers would fall in awe of his hidden contributions to society and humanity, as I continue to be.

Thank you so much for sharing this story...

"For Life, For Liberty, and For Freedom, OUR MOVEMENT IS ONE... And We Will Change The Course of History!!"

Stunned.

With what you have just revealed, it's obvious he's even more amazing than I could have ever dreamed. Such humility, such class. Ron Paul is truly one-of-a-kind. It is an honor to have even heard of something like this in my lifetime, much less to have been a part of it. *wipes tear*

Dr. Paul

I miss you already... but I am confident you will go down in history as a true legend.

Drive Time

What planet are you on? From Lake Jackson out 288, through Houston and out the northeast side to Bush Intercontinental is NOT a two hour drive by any normal person. Factor in traffic and it can take two hours or more just to CROSS Houston. (A city, by the way, that I despise and think of as a huge hairy spider getting more and more bloated and spreading like a plague.) I'm old enough to remember the country towns like Magnolia and Tomball before Houston cast it's greedy eye on more tax revenue. The corrupt people in the know bought up every acre they could lay their hands on, knowing these areas were about to be incorporated. The country folks had no chance to fight back against the money, power, and greed for more money and power of the Houston businessmen and politicians in collusion. Yes, I'm a lifetime Texan. Born in Galveston, raised in Hitchcock (which has become a bedroom community for Houston)and now watching that monster city spread it's tentacles too close to my present country home.

I'm sorry, it must've been a wonderful area back in the day.

This has happened to many people in other towns too, I'm afraid.

Debbie

Thank you so much

for this wonderful story. I still think Ron Paul is a Saint.

well thank you very flipping

well thank you very flipping much, now I'm going to cry even more that he may not be our president. I don't understand how people can not want him.ahhhh

People didn't want Jesus either.

It's hard to face the truth, I think. (But I don't get it either; it's so disappointing that people can't see what we see!)

IT is not that we don't want

IT is not that we don't want him. THEY won't let us have him.

Ron Paul or Bust

people DO want him!

Its just that some dont realize it yet!
Keep your chin up, its not over.

only issue i have with this

only issue i have with this is that Bush intercontinental airport is not 2 hours north of Houston. it is IN Houston on the north side, about 15 min from downtown with no traffic. i dont know where you're getting this absurd 2 hours from. it does not take 4 hours to drive through houston traffic to get from one side of town to the other. it doesnt take 2 hours to get to his district either. at most he drove an hour and a half to get to bush airport. 4 hours..haha.

lol

... and no I'm not laughing with you

get a life.

get a life.

Ron Paul or Bust

I grew up in lake jackson, so

I grew up in lake jackson, so this was the first thing that I thought of too.... Just don't embelish, that's all this person's saying...

also

Ron has asked us for money quite often, why wouldn't he before?

He would not ask his house district constituents for money, .

In 2007 his PRESIDENTIAL campaign staffers revolted! against this idea he (Dr. Paul) would not be asking directly for money, There was a mutiny and many here remember it from the 2007/2008 campaign. The staffers and paid advisors revolted and over rode him and his principle, by saying he wouldnt win not to ask, so he very very reluctantly went along. The staffed asked him why he was choosing a "loosing" strategy and on and on. Much like this inexperienced ones question his choices now. it was at that point early on in his 2008 WH bid that he decided, he would solicit. But they were timed and planned and not willy nilly on every radio station after every interview he made. You never heard him ask on TV or radio unless it was a PAC, but NEVER his campaign.
But notice the actual recent solicitations themselves, from Ron Paul, if you have ever heard one, They hardly sound like a campaign solicitation, AND ARE VERY FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. I hear Santorum, Grinch and Cain on every radio station begging. Paul, even now has only made a handful of pleas so please continue on..

On another note,
Some here have disputed the drive time I portrayed.
I have lived in Houston for 15 years and Galveston for 19.
It is an all day driving event from his home in LJ to the gate of the airport and back home again, with his granddaughter. Anyone who says differently is simply mistaken, is all.

Rand Paul 2016

You leave his house in Lake Jackson,

Go pick up his granddaughter and drive up to intercontinental it is a min of 4 hours from his door to the gate. If there is an accident, longer then that. Im sure they will stop and eat also, or shouldnt I have included that???
It takes him all day. If he leaves at 8am, he will be returning by 5.
Figure it out and do the math, so petty, dont you have something better you could be doing?

Rand Paul 2016

i dont really care. its just

i dont really care. its just something i was commenting on. its a great story. some people are obviously too sensitive on here. to confirm what i'm saying, i checked google maps and its about an 1 1/2 hours from lake jackson to bush, with moderate-no traffic, at the speed limit. i dont see how you come up with 4 hours one way, even with traffic i'd only tack on another 30-45 min. if anything its 4 hours round trip driving time. i've worked with moving companies, rental car companies, and actually live in houston. so i drive this city pretty well. you have to be driving extremely slow to be taking 4 hours to get to bush from lake jackson. if anything, at speed limit, you should be @ centerville on 45 on your way to dallas in 4 hours.

seriously you're issue is how

seriously you're issue is how slow he drives, over why he did. that is pathetic.

Thanks for the first hand report.

I concur with your closing sentence:

"What an education he handed us. Never charging and always respectful. We love him and we will miss him dearly."

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I've Always been Concerned

..considering the "marathon-like" pace he has kept at for so long.
A lesser man would have succumbed to such rigorous devotion.
Further proof of a truly remarkable individual, loved by so many.
Yes Doctor Paul...We LOVE You!
