MSNBC's Joe Scarborough comes out of the closet: 'I voted for Ron Paul'

Why I voted for Ron Paul
by Joe Scarborough

I operate on instinct. So I should not have been surprised by my own gut reaction to the absentee ballot that lay before me on the kitchen table.

I scanned the list for Republican primary candidates and let instinct take over.

Mitt Romney? Not on your life. A big government Republican who will say anything to get elected.

Rick Santorum? No way. A pro-life statist who helped George W. Bush double the national debt.

Newt Gingrich? Ideologically unmoored. A champion of liberty one day, a central planner the next.

Ron Paul? Yep. I quickly checked his name and moved on to a far more complex task: fixing my daughter a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

hahah the comments, although old, are

"I guess he spent more time making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead of realizing that most of Ron Paul's support came from white nationalists."

wahhh hahahaha!

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Don't you know?

Anyone and everyone who disagrees with a leftist over the internet is automatically a white heterosexual American male from the 1950's sent forward in time to bring present people back to the past so they can revive Hitler using Dan Akroyd's knowledge of the occult...and I think I have a new idea for a screenplay (that I'll never finish...or start)!

A signature used to be here!

He's a liar.

And the psychotic comments of his followers show the sickness in this country. Scarborough murdered his intern, and then got a job on the news. He's a bought and paid for shill. He didn't vote for anyone, because he knew, they all knew, that the system is rigged, and the outcome was all staged.

The comments over at Politico are disgusting, ad hominem attacks. Please don't add to them. Dr. Paul never makes those kind of attacks. Some people still don't get it.

It was clear during the campaign that he liked Dr. Paul better than the rest, and for many of the same reasons we did.

Thanks, Joe.

Wait a minute! Totally unacceptable!

This man is not a 100% "dyed in the wool" principled LIBERTARIAN! His opinion should be totally disregarded as blasphemy!

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Joe Scarborough In Private Life Is A Principled Man

The reality is its hard for some people to give up a job that pays millions of dollars.

Joe bits his tongue to keep his job, but deep down his loves the freedom he had once in America.

He knows well that until America wakes and speaks up in much greater numbers, his job with PMSNBC would be terminated if he ever spoke out like the good judge (Napolitano) did on Fox Business...

Botton line: I believe citizen Joe loves and respects Ron Paul, but he is afraid to cozy up to him outspokenly..

I would remind many of you that I don't like or condone some of the things he has said or done on his program, but in the congress Joe was one of the better republicans and i know Ron Paul is aware of it as well..

I remember him saying that his sons were big Ron Paul supporters

I think he's been gradually influenced by them

and I don't recall seeing this in

2012 when the article came out, thanks for reposting

Mutual admiration

It has always sounded like a compliment to me.

Joe Scarborough Is A Complete Phony (video)

This is why I will never trust Joe Scarborough...

To those on Politico that called Paul a racist, I say this...

Ron Paul is not a racist, nor where his newsletters.

TNR mag, always at war with the RP newsletters --(back in the day always feuding like the Hatfield and McCoys 'you're racist!' 'you're socialist!')-- When Ron Paul ran for office in 2007 raked over 20 years of writing to “discover” (or make) 33 outtakes of the Ron Paul investment letters. Its designed to make you, the casual uncritical reader, to THINK a certain way about Ron Paul.

Racist Charge #1: 1992 - "If you have ever been robbed by a black teenaged male, you know how unbelievably fleet of foot they can be." -- Now is that Racist? Yes or No? Everyone seems to think so, but it is not racist at all.

Now is this sentence racist?; "If you've ever been chased by a white middle aged donuts-eating cop, you know that after 50 yards, you are home free." I just want to know, is that racists?

These sentences are both NOT racist at all, they are just simple rational generalizations based upon everyday experiences.

If you still say, yes its racist, then lets review the definition of Racism shall we? From Wiki:

Definition: "Racism is the belief that there are certain negative inherent different traits in human racial subgroups, and those negative traits justify discrimination."

So did Ron Paul's newsletter advocate governmental or legal discrimination base upon race? No it did not. And since when is being fast a negative trait to have? If so, I want lots of those negative traits.

Have I gone over all 33 outtakes and put them all back into context, yes I have. Few will. The 33 out of context quotes from TNR are meant to mislead and slander, but it matters little. Because who will take the time to read them fully? Who will think calmly and clearly? The SMEAR has been made. TNR "wins". The Truth, gone.

Even Sean Hanity-Insanity, someone who chastises liberals for using "the race card" against conservatives, happily repeated "Ron Paul racists newsletters" a thousand times --- gee if you say it enough times, you actually start to think that racism was the SUBJECT, and not investments.

The real disappointment is

The real disappointment is that Joe Scarborough has a huge mega-phone by which he could have spoken out from. Joe could have used his position as host of a widely watched morning show that focuses on political discussions to educated some viewers on Ron Paul's platform.

Protest Vote? Or was it a Principled Vote? Joe can't tell

the difference.

Joe wrote, "It was the first “protest” vote I’ve ever cast".

Well then, after all that time in government casting votes and that was your first? You mean you were a big time follower all those years?

Well, I guess you lost your virginity Joe. Now lets see if you grow up.

Lets thank his son for his vote!

I try to change people every day. Do You?

For a while I watched his

For a while I watched his program every day because I honestly thought that he would endorse Dr. Paul since he often parroted his issues. On Jan 19 CSPAN covered all the events of the Southern Leadership Conference in S. Carolina where RP would be speaking and while watching it and waiting for RP Scarborough gave a speech.
He indirectly made fun of Gingrich, spoke against bailouts, legislating morality and even occupation wars as well as the need for a leader that told American's the truth. Then he asked "What candidate out there has told you the truth and has a plan to balance the budget???(by this time I was holding my breath and thinking: here it comes!!); what happened next sealed the deal for me and Joe!

Why is everyone posting here and not on Politico, where the article originated, or on MSNBC, so people could actually see the comments?

Well! Just how cool was THAT?

Well! Just how cool was THAT? Not only he voted for Ron, but even came out and talked about it. Woo Hooo!!

Not Cool At All

Joe Scarborough is a phony. Watch the video I posted above (and am reposting here):

the better story, joe

would be who wouldn't let you say it on TV.

okay, now we know for sure

okay, now we know for sure that Ron has no chance.

So I guess since the talking heads Republicans can

do a protest vote they won't mind when we look at our ballot and vote third party. Thanks for giving us the out Joe I hope you enjoy our protest vote as much as we enjoyed yours.

Joe should like Rand. Both compromised their principles.

Joe wants to keep his job, so he withheld his support for Ron Paul until it didn't matter any longer. Rand sold-out for future political gain. Both compromised their principles for political expediency. They join the every increasing crowd of hypocrites in this world, leaving only Ron Paul at the top.

Sooo true

... and so sad
