Romney's worst fears - a brokered conventionSubmitted by MaxK on Tue, 06/12/2012 - 19:21
Romney knows he doesn't have that many hardcore supporters, and he knows that if the delegates at the Republican convention choose to go to a brokered convention, they can do so.
The whole strategy you are seeing from Romney is to try to keep us from being vocal about a brokered convention. He knows that a tireless number of people - and there are certainly many of us as delegates, reciting their rights to CHOOSE their nominee, and have a REAL CONVENTION, will have one. We will win over the other delegates and the base of the Republican party that does not want the most liberal Republican candidate we've ever had as a nominee.
That's the strategy, by bribe, insider treachery, and whatever. This is our strategy from the last State convention to the national convention in Tampa, Florida:
"It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." ~Samuel Adams
