Rio 20+ UN Warning: Global Collapse Due to Pesticides - Agenda 21 Solution

Running from June 14-22, Brazil will again host the Rio Conference (a.k.a. Rio+20; UN Conference on Sustainable Development; Earth Summit; Agenda 21; et al.). Over 50,000 people are expected to attend, representing environmental groups, industry leaders, NGO's, and others, including over 100 heads of state. From Natural News:

"The United Nations (U.N.) Environment Program has released a 525-page report in conjunction with its upcoming Rio+20 conference on sustainable development that warns about "sudden, irreversible and potentially catastrophic changes" that will occur in the world if drastic measures are not taken to stop them. In correctly identifying pesticides and other chemicals as one of the primary causes, however, the U.N. also tacks on the global warming myth in an attempt to push for a centralized, world government..."

Big UN Policy Change? Rio (Agenda 21) Conference Report

Three points: According to Lord Monckton (former politician, adviser to Margaret Thatcher, journalist, inventor...), the official word from Rio is that climate change is no longer the #1 world crisis. It's now poverty. That represents a major shift, as global warming/climate change was Agenda 21's supposed reason for being, the reason given for why global government was needed. Second, ICLEI (which enacts Agenda 21 policies at the local level) was well represented at the conference and seems to also be in the process of changing its mission statement (such as advising not use terms such as "green"). Third, one of the parties in Britain is drafting a plan for Britain to withdraw from the UN.

The United Nations

Can shut the heck up. These environmentalist people are insane.

Maybe if the powers that be behind the UN had never encouraged pesticide and GMO use in the first place, there wouldn't be a problem.

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien

Yes, the Rio20+ irony is more than GALLING.

Such as this, for one... The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is a specialized agency of the UN. Its annual meeting was in February. "Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will share his perspective on the importance of agriculture and how sustainable productivity improvements can reduce poverty in developing countries." http://www.ifad.org/media/press/2012/alert/1.htm

The event is noted on the Rio 20 website: "UN boosts partnership with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help small farmers."

Funny, but I didn't see any mention of this: Bill Gates Foundation Buys 500,000 shares of Monsanto. http://naturalsociety.com/bill-gates-foundation-buys-500000-...

An eye opening read is

A Dark cloud over the Gates Foundation. Sorry, haven't got a link, but just Google it. This is about the Gate's "good" work with beating malaria, and their shares in the pharmaceutical companies.

How do these people sleep at night!

Eye-opening is right. http://www.latimes.com/news/la-na-gatesx07jan07,0,2533850.story

Thanks for that info, Jill. I thought I had enough against the Gates Foundation re the Monsanto and GMO issue, without that additional "dark cloud." Adding Bill & Melinda Gates' investments in additional companies with environmentally- and health-devastating practices that more than cancel out their pharmaceutical "philanthropy," it's getting pretty darn dark. Oops the lights just went out. There was that other fun fact in the article: "Like most philanthropies, the Gates Foundation gives away at least 5% of its worth every year, to avoid paying most taxes."
