Will you be the Establishments Accomplice? Because Fear, Paranoia and Suspicion Are Destroying The Ron Paul Movement

Everyones tired of arguing it. The liberty movement is a big tent movement and Rand is welcome in the tent. Some people think Rand might someday be a great leader some people less so.

...opinions on some people and some issues. From my point of view, it would be better to focus on the issues that brought everyone together...liberty. Everyone sees the same issues from different angles and just about everyone has some truth in how they see it. Great minds think alike and all of us have more in common than not. And believe it or not, we are always "on display". Think of the liberty movement holding all offices...we don't want to be in gridlock!

Anyway, these are all growing pains. This is no longer the Ron Paul movement. This is THE LIBERTY MOVEMENT. We need to stop focusing on the figureheads and concentrate on the philosophy. The 'movement' will be just fine so long as we stick to the ideas and principles, and convince family, friends, and neighbors by the example of our actions and how we choose to live.

Though some see what's been done and being done to divide and conquer the liberty movement, others it seems are stuck in denial. How could WE have possibly been taken advantage of and played for fools? It's happened to every movement that's attempted to change the status quo. We know the historical record. Because of this, RNN would rather give you a swift kick in the pants to wake you up, rather than remain silent. So long as we have a boot, and the ability to swing our foot, we ain't gonna let them derail this movement no matter how dense or stupid some of you are. You can take that to the bank.

Ron Paul gave the American People a living testimony to his philosophy that is actually the quintessential American philosophy the nation had lost. He has crystallised the thinking of millions of Americans around these ideas:

1. Constitutional limited Government. First at the Federal level then with the People's efforts at every State level to bring the power granted to the People by the Constitution back to the People. The Constitution enumerates the powers granted to the Federal Government and reserves all other powers to the States or the People. The proper exercise of these powers would remove the overpowering oppression of Federal regulation and transfer all responsibility for any welfare programmes back to the States and the People in their individual lives.

2. Constitutional sound money and true free markets. This means inevitably the end of the Federal Reserve System which creates counterfeit money that enriches the few at the expense of the many. His thinking on these subjects has been inspired by Austrian economic theory written by Carl Menge, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek and Murray Rothbard. He himself has written books on the subject and helped to establish an educated core of libertarian economists without which any return to sane economic policies would be impossible.

3. Constitutional War Powers. He has faithfully opposed the growth of the military industrial complex throughout his public life and has drawn attention to the link between perpetual war and the issuance of counterfeit currency to prosecute the wars. He endorses the authority of the Congress and only the Congress to declare war and opposes the transfer of this authority from the Congress and by definition the People to the Executive branch that is leading now to dictatorial power and submission to international authorities.

4. Constitutional civil liberties. He has warned consistently of the danger of loss of individual rights and civil liberties guaranteed under the Bill of Rights by the growth of the security state occasioned by the foreign policy of perpetual war.

By focusing attention on these ideas and applying the Constitutional test to every piece of legislation he has demonstrated to the American People how a free country can be restored with the engagement of the People.

Dr Paul has written books, has recorded speeches in Congress on the public record and has authored legislation dealing with all these ideas throughout his public life. This is his legacy to the American People so far. This has been his deliberate intention since he first entered Congress in April, 1976.

These are the ideas that can and will sustain the continuing efforts of the People to restore the American Republic. These cannot be destroyed by shifting political allegiances and the ephemeral brouhaha of political campaigns. When the People bring their focus back to these central ideas on which everyone can agree and determine that Ron Paul should be elected as the Republican nominee and as President in 2012 in order to implement these ideas with the support of the American People then all this inconsequential, emotional political blather will fade into the past and the future of the Republic will once again become the subject of conversation and planning.

Or been a part of in the last 30 years of looking for Liberty in the United States. We have been through a multitude of ideals that have tried to divide us like the non truthers fighting the truthers, the non birthers fighting the birthers, all the while one group wanting to silence the other for fear it would be used against the campaign. There are too many things over the last 5 years that were certainly designed to separate, split, or fracture this movement, but yet we are still here and growing. Not much unlike our unwavering ideals such that we cannot be bought, bribed, or swayed, this idea as Dr. Paul says is an idea whose time has come. Does Rand Paul endorsing Romney make any supporter long for freedom any less? Does Dr. Paul sending an email of defeat cause mass exodus from the Liberty movement in a run around to the neo conservatives? The simple answer is no, and for those new to the movement I truly understand the concerns, but I have seen too many tactics used over the years to divide a people whose ideas were the right ones, and they never win, nor do they ever accomplish their goals of division. This movement whether you call it the Ron Paul movement or the Liberty movement is not going away any time soon, and the more time passes the more the masses are awakening to the reality that their once representative government is now nothing more than a group bought off by special interests that care not about the American family in the least, and Obama declaring that the private sector was doing just fine does nothing more than reinforce that belief that government is out of the loop of reality outside their elitist circles.

When the sleeping giant awakens then those in power who have sold not only their souls to corporate interests, but sold out their nation and fellow countrymen will garner no pity from me. This is not 1812, and We the People are more educated today then the powers that be would have ever wanted us to be judging by the k-12 curriculum now taught, or US history light; as I like to call it. The more they push the more resistance they will encounter, the more authoritarian they become the more resistance they will receive, the more lies they tell, the faster they will be outed as frauds, and Liberty and the movement will march on.

...whose time had come, the people could not recognize it as such and therefore unwittingly destroyed it internally even as outsiders took over planting division while diluting and confusing the message.

Of course, *other agendas* are making inroads and we seem to be easy prey, at least on the DP. (There are others stronger elsewhere, I hope.)

For those who would hijack this movement which represents or represented enormous "political capital" ... I call it Vulture Political Capitalism and it is not a pretty sight. (You know, drive the perceived value down...and then buy it cheap and capitalize on it. Sort of a Bain Capital political campaign maneuver.)

I am only sure of one thing: Go Delegates and Those Taking Political Office...you are now the remnant along with whatever is left of Dr. Paul's legacy after the vultures get through with it. Future generations will talk about...you are our hope..
