The REAL Alex Jones!

Let me preface by saying I don't HATE Alex Jones, rather, I'm annoyed by him. Now, he hasn't become a multimillionaire from being stupid, or lazy, but he's just as dull and boring to listen to as all of the other egotistical broken records out there on the airwaves. I truly believe that HE believes the flatulence that floats from his own mouth of grandiosity. In his own diluted mind, the Ron Paul revolution would not have happened were it not for him. HE is public enemy #1 of the NWO. On slow news days, which are most, has one ever noticed that all he can talk about is HIMSELF? He's an opportunist knee-jerk reactionary with no real interest in finding any real societal solutions. Tyranny is his bread and butter, just like racism is Jesse Jackson's. It's just all so damn BORING after a while!(I must admit that I like it when he calls people 'little hobgoblins' though.) He's neither insightful, nor inspirational, nor philosophical, nor inquisitive, nor motivational, nor informative. He IS a braggadocious, arrogant, pious, self absorbed, egomaniac. The only role he plays in the liberty movement is to make money off merchandising to the liberty movement. The fact that he recently started his own multi-level marketing company (also known as pyramid scheming) to sell placebo 'health supplements' should be all I have to say. If he wants to sell snake oil that's fine by me. I'm just not going to be the gullible sucker falling for it.

they are Liz.

Jones is core to the liberty movement. And without him,

there wouldn't be much of any kind of movement. Since Judge Nap dropped off, Jones provides the most and accurate and reliable news. In fact, there is noone even close to Jones.

he is risking his life to go against romney and obama and their buddies, and I know that this ruffles many romney-paul supporters the wrong way on this site.

if you don't the truth and light in jones, then you are in trouble. it is irrelevant if youlike him personally or not or his style, which is consistent with other radio talk show hosts. but he speaks truth and i agree with a lot of his analysis. though alex jones need to continue to be tough with rand paul. if you excuse what rand did, then this is where one falls off the cliff of principles of making one too many concessions.

Au contraire mon frere....

We, the individuals within the movement, are the core of the movement. Jones is no messianic figure! And only in Jones' mind of over-importance is he 'risking his life.' Who says it's Jones who is 'risking his life'? That's right. Jones. It's like me saying "I am a prophet of God" and everyone knows it's true because I said it! I wish people would stop focusing so much on day to day, smoke and mirrors news and concentrate more on reading and studying the actual philosophy behind what we claim to believe in. A Steve Watson article isn't "news." It's Alex Jones' commentary(opinion, which we all give here at the DP) spoken through his mouthpiece Steve Watson or Kurt Nimmo on a small bit of information that is contorted to fit Jones' pre-designed theories. Is there some validity or 'truth' mixed in with his conjecture, rhetoric, and hyperbole? Sure. I'm just saying that you'd do the world and the 'movement' a greater service by reading Road to Serfdom or On Liberty or listening to a Stefan Molyneux discussion on the non-agression principle or looking up a BusinessInsider.com article on market manipulation, or attending a city council meeting or organizing an anti-war demonstration than being told for the five-hundred-millionth time that the Nazis developed fluoride, and Monsanto splices pig and corn genetics, and the 'elites' bang male prostitutes and worship a devil owl, and psy-op this and false-flag that, and we should all be outraged and....then what? For me sitting around and wringing my hands at all of the corruption and injustice in the world doesn't affect any semblance of real change, it just creates ulcers. Again, FOR ME, Jones is a distraction more than a font of 'truth'.

"I'm just saying that you'd do the world and the 'movement' a greater service by reading Road to Serfdom or On Liberty or listening to a Stefan Molyneux discussion on the non-agression principle or looking up a BusinessInsider.com article on market manipulation,..."

Or watch Adam vs. The Man!

Yes, him too!

..I have to listen to Adam's podcast though; can't watch him- at least while my wife's around! Haha...she thinks he's hot...aside from his dead squirrel beard.

Yeah, that's a problem.

He is hot even with the dead squirrel beard, but I go ahead and watch anyway. I hope he gets well soon. He has a promising future. He is a wonderful conversationalist which is an invaluable quality in media. He is quick witted as well. Good luck to him. I laughed so hard on his clever little clip at the Occupy DC Headquarters. I watched it several times.

Gotta Love your writing style...

Content aside, your adjective selections are extraordinary!

Please, if you have the time, write a diatribe on the "Grand Oligarchs & Plutocrats" (aka G.O.P.) for us all to enjoy!

"Grand Oligarchs & Plutocrats"

If you believe they are exclusive to the GOP you are not yet familiar enough w/ how the Grand Scam really works.

I am saddened each time I read comments by folks railing against "GOP
corruption" as if all the corruption is confined to that branch of the enslave and fleece power structure. No personal offense meant since many still labor under this incorrect assumption-which is understandable.

We are only getting a better view of the corruption in the GOP because we are threatening the GOP power structure. Were we to have chosen to take over the Dem Party and were at an equal point in doing so we would be seeing exactly equivalent abuses.

We are fighting corrupted power/concentrated power-Not the phoney party theater they set up to hide the core problem.

"You are a den of vipers and thieves."

I mean to rout you out!

-Just because you are among us, does not make you with us

-The door is wide open, anything can slither in

Give it a rest!

Enough about Alex Jones. If you don't like him, don't listen. That's free market capitalism.

No shit!

Am I still allowed to have an opinion? Geez....

Adam! I Grant Thee. . .

Permission! Opinion on, man!

Sorry you're ill - hope you feel better soon. Just think how funny you'll be when you're back to 100%.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. ~Thomas Jefferson

“It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie...the greatest enemy of the State.” ~Joseph Goebbels

To have an opinion, yours is just the wrong one.first off,if Alex were a multimillionaire he wouldn't be having equipment problems all the time.secondly i've been listening to Alex since he started broadcasting.he doesn't enjoy talking about himself, and doesn't like it when people make him out a hero.Third he did originally put this movement on the map.at least he was a big part of it.If you don't like him don't listen.if you think you can do better, get the show on the road.in the meantime i don't wanna hear it.

Some see things as they are and say why,but i dream things that never were and say why not. Robert F. Kennedy

From APOLITICAL website...

"Alex Jones is an American talk radio host, actor and filmmaker with a Net Worth of $5 Million. He is best known as being the host of a conservative talk show that is nationally syndicated by the Genesis Communications Network to more than 60 stations around the US." So first off, it appears I am right.

Secondly, As I said, I had listened to AJ for many years so what you're asking of me is to deny what my own ears have heard. The man is self-absorbed.

Thirdly, I would have never heard of Alex Jones if it weren't for Ron Paul. So if anyone's put any movement on a map, it's Ron Paul.

Jones does indeed have reach and influence. I'll grant you that.

My wife and I have been using Youngevity products

for about a year now, well before Jones started selling them, and we're quite happy with the results. I'm not sure what you mean about "placebo" because their multivitamin is pretty potent. I don't know why some have so much disdain for AJ, but I have real simple solution, stop listening to him and don't buy any of the products he sells. He is not forcing anyone to do so. My personal opinion is that his sites serve as a useful hub for collecting information. That is all..

I say 'placebo' because...

...your body can't absorb 95% of the vitamins and minerals in supplements, Youngevity or otherwise. Assuming you have a balanced diet, you get plenty of the nutrients you need. I know people 'feel better' when they're taking supplements, but physiologically they make little impact- hence placebo. And as for the pyramid scheme he's developed to peddle the products, well, like Amway, Herbalife, etc. it's a charlatan's business plan.
AJ has every right to do what he does. All I've done is shared my opinion, which many DP'ers do, correct? In fact I wouldn't have even mentioned him were it not for a DP post today titled "Alex Jones extends olive branch to Rand and Ron." I started to think to myself, "who the hell does this joker think he is? Self righteous much Alex?" So I was inspired to inform DP'ers as I saw it.
I listened to him for years, watched all his films, had the infowars bumper sticker, yada yada yada.... but I soon started realizing that I wasn't learning anything new, I was growing tired of his egomania, found much of his paranoia unfounded, and more or less started to see through his schtick. It wasn't until much later that I found this Jack Blood radio show episode that solidified all of my suspicions about AJ's character and motivations.
So I've shared it with DailyPaul. Take it or leave it, it matters not to me.

I still..

...stand by this earlier assessment.

Sounds like you're dealing with "former Alex Jones fan"

withdrawls and are using DP to vent your frustrations. A lot of your observations about AJ are accurate. But so what, don't let it get the best of you or take it so personal. Maybe you where a little too gung-ho with the infowars club thing and feel you've been burnt. Personally I never put 100% stock on anyone but myself.(sounds selfish, I know) We all get taken for a ride here and there, but one must grab a hold of the wheel and move on grasshopper.

..I'm not enraged or butt-hurt, just sick in bed and bored. It appears I kicked the right hornets' nest to keep me preoccupied this afternoon!

He is not enemy #1

Alex Jones is not enemy #1 of the NWO, he works for them. He is a fear-mongering disinformation specialist put in place by the NWO/CIA to capture former FOX News and Rush Limbaugh lovers who think they've now finally found "the truth".

I don't know about...

...all the secret agent stuff... I just know AJ works for AJ and uses the liberty movement as the platform to promote himself. I'm not saying the man doesn't have a right to exist or make a buck, but I wish people would stop being so gullible.

And a couple years from now...

Someone will write a piece identical to your own, but instead of it being about Alex Jones, it will be about Jack Blood.

I can see it now..."So and so exposes Jack Blood"

Let me just note that I'm not a supporter or listener of Alex - I've watched some of his videos, but I think they lack the evidence to convince me on some of his selling points.

A bullshitter is a bullshitter..

If Jack Blood(whom I don't listen to at all) is proven a bullshitter like Alex Jones then so be it. The fact that AJ gives credence to Marxist Webster Tarpley or Lyndon LaRouche says it all.

Why are you afraid of giving

Why are you afraid of giving a platform to other ideas? I don't agree with most of what Tarpley says, but he does have a point with The American System. We don't live in a utopian world when it comes to trade, so we do need some protection of what remains of our manufacturing sector.

Yep. Nail on the head.
