RNC calls Delegate Lawsuit "Frivolous"

"Washington (CNN) - The Republican National Committee is brushing off a lawsuit against the party by Ron Paul supporters as "frivolous" but it is nonetheless coordinating a "joint defense" effort to fight the legal challenge, according to an internal RNC memorandum obtained by CNN Tuesday."

Apparently the RNC hasn't seen this post:

The RNC are taking taxpayer/shareholder funds in the tune of $18 Million dollars; the members of the RNC are voted into office by "We The People", the actual SHAREHOLDERS in this trust agreement, and therefor, "WE THE PEOPLE" have all the standing we need.

Read it here:

"Not having any serious purpose or value." Surely, having people's rights to participate in the republic stripped away and trampled on is not frivolous! This is very serious. I would use the word treason, to define the acts of the accused.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety

I was at my local GOP meeting

I was at my local GOP meeting when the lawsuit was announced. Of course it was announced that, "Ron Paul is suing Arkansas" which is absolutely untrue to begin with.

All I know is, there were very loud, audible gasps when it was announced and I saw grown people go into panic mode.

One of our supporters stated that there has been wrongdoing on behalf of the RNC and nobody there denied it. They were upset, I guess, because there really hadn't been any shenanigans in my state that I know of.

Until now. Apparently people are being called names at GOP meetings in my state after winning delegate spots.

It's that kind of intimidation that we're fighting. It's that kind of misbehavior that is making people gasp, because they know it won't go unchecked anymore.

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born...and the day you find out why. -Mark Twain

Just in case the RNC starts the "You don't have standing" shit

Everyone needs to show up with their Certificate of Live Birth and wave them in the air at the hearing.

That's your standing!

That is your proof that you are a shareholder in the corporation known as the UNITED STATES.

Now you have standing, and the Judge will damn sure know it. If he starts with the standing issue, then ask him/her if they are a public servant. They will get pissed for sure, but persist with the question, they will finally have to cave. Take their Oath and put it in the public record; make sure it's in the public record.

You folks are the beneficiaries/shareholders of the corporation; the elected officials are the trustees, and that includes the judge.

Thank You The South!

I hope our lawyer makes history.....I hope it is written up

everywhere. Next thing they will do is discredit our delegates. We have to warn them, support them and pray for their well-being. (if you care to)

They're scared. :)

They're scared. :)

What is the RNC made up of? A bunch of brainless wonders?

What did they THINK was going to happen if they kept on doing this stuff?

EVERYBODY discounts suits against themselves as frivolous.

Thats why the first thing any good attorney does is to try to have the case thrown out of court as having no merit. No matter what the case is.

Look at what RON SAYS!

About the Lawsuit. He speaks of it at about 4:30 seonds

IN HIS WORDS, NOT Jesse (sold-out) Benton.

Ron Paul answered that question brilliantly.

Wolf Blitzer asked if he supports the lawsuit. Now, if he had said yes, it would give them ammunition to slander him with. So, of course he said that doesn't support it. However, he doesn't condemn it either. He makes it clear that it is none of his doing, he's washing his hands of it, yet his supporters can make their own descisions and he's not telling them what to do.

belittling and ridicule as a tactic

I've found that ridicule and belittling is a tactic used when
someone knows they're in the wrong and they're afraid of being exposed.
9-11 trade center investigators became "truthers
The citizenship investigation became "birthers
People questioning global warming became "deniers
In keeping with the belittling tactic, the lawsuit is "frivolous
It's not. It's big trouble and they know it

Civil Rights violation and a potential RICO

Thats pretty freeking "FRIVOLOUS" from my persepective.

appears like two battlefronts war

one with RNC and another with Bentonites in the campaign.
"We have nothing to do with it and do not support it," said Paul adviser Jesse Benton.

J. Benton v. 120+ Ron Paul delegates?

Ron Paul Sues RNC

That would be the headline if Jesse said he supported it. We all know how this stuff gest twisted.

Indeed Jesse

"He" does not support it. Wonder if a GJ is gonna call his butt before them? Wonder if he will be named in the RICO? Lets get hold of some bank records and take a little gander.

Why would he support it word is he gets his marching orders from

Trygve 'Olson

Why don't you show your face here Jesse Benton?

I wonder is they will think

I wonder is they will think it frivolous when the judge sees the massive evidence against the RNC and Romney, and decides to expand the case issuing subpoenas and arrest warrants? And I wonder if they will be feeling all frivolous when they are arrested on the convention floor?

Now there's a show I'd be happy to watch on tv.

It is not Frivolous!

If a court takes a case, then it is not Frivolous. It certainly is not frivolous when a judge rules in favor of a plaintiff.

By contrast, cases you see on Judge Judy . . . those are frivolous. Usually some dramatic case about some dude suing his ex-roomate's girlfriend over an unpaid cellphone bill for $74.98 and some bogus counter claim that she suffered mental trauma when his cat peed on her favorite hoodie blah blah blah . .. .

gotta love court TV

The court had a little team put together pouring over the suit

trying to find something wrong with it for over 4 hours and couldn't find anything wrong with what was in it. They really did not want this case filed but couldn't stop it.

Can you provide a link to that info?

Jerry Davis of Lawyers For Ron Paul told me that so I guess since Richard Gilbert filed the suit that is where he heard it from.

Not having any serious purpose or value

ConstitutionHugger's picture

Fingers are frivolous!

and so is our right to vote!

You know that the RNC will

You know that the RNC will hire some million dollar lawyers for this case. I hope our guy is good.

He doesn't have to be good. He just has to be honest and the

evidence is blatant. I think his way of putting the case together is admirable and I was a skeptic. It is simple, to the point, non-offensive, and and anyone can see we are only asking for justice. Plain and simple..not fancy. Very good. The judge is an ex-marine and a patriot. He will do us right.

The VOTES have not yet been cast

IMO.....sucks to be them.

No matter how many times I write the RNC about the abhorrent lack of rule-following, never do they respond, nor do they stop their inappropriate behavior with egregious disrespect for decorum.

One point for the R3volution tho - I did bring it to the attention of the PA smartvoter.org - they incorrectly had Mr. Willard Romney listed as the Republican nominee. They have since corrected their website for fear of losing their tax exempt status.

It is so sad to see so many in the party that they are ostracizing....it is pushing them to open their eyes and see what is really going on and, because of this poor sportsmanship....They are finding US! :)
