Gerald previously stated about two or three years ago that when he sees clear sign of America collapsing, he was gonna get outta Dodge. No more. He's staying as he's realized what most patriots have already: we're in a prison planet, there's no place to run. Might as well make a stand.
To wit, he bought the famed, historic Franz P. Roggen House, built by a Swiss immigrant in pre-Revolution America, circa 1752 in Kingston, NY, then the new state capital of NY state, on the spot! Our fellow patriot is digging deep and planting roots.
The famed beams of the Roggen House served as gallows to hang miscreants (hopefully some of them were statist commissars, and allegedly became haunted because of it), and also was a sanctuary to fugitive slaves. Prior to Gerald's purchase, apparently the Roggen House served as a home to paper shufflers. How sweet that Gerald took the home off the banksters' hands!
The Franz Roggen House, at 42 Crown Street in Kingston, was built by the Swiss immigrant shortly after his arrival in Kingston around 1752 and lived in by his descendants through the mid-20th century.
After the British burned Kingston in 1777 in retaliation for the town's role in supporting the American Revolution and the new State government of New York, the interior of the Roggen house was completely gutted and remained mostly in ruins until 1800.
It is during this time that the Roggen House began its role in local legend, when the remaining beams of the original building were purportedly used as a gallows site. The "hanging beams" were incorporated into the house's reconstruction, contributing to the building's "haunted" status. The front door still contains the original etched glass today. A long narrow closet just above the entrance is said to have been a hiding place for slaves.
After many years as a residence, the Roggen House is now occupied by a securities firm that has adapted the interior for business purposes while maintaining the historic integrity of the exterior.

As he characterizes the purchase, paraphrasing, why not start the Second American Revolution (the peaceful intellectual Renaissance type, not with bullets bombs and banks as he's oft fond of saying) near the place (Hudson Valley, NY) where the 1st one began?
He talks a bit more about the purchase in his recent Alex Jones Show PrisonPlanet.TV feed, when he came on to respond to Rand's endorsement, Middle East conflagrations, EU collapse, banksters, etc.:
