Dr Paul is rich?

Compared to who? You are either a troll or just plain stupid. No one who watched the interview will get the impression you present. I wonder, how does it make you feel to know that no one on here takes you serious? - "thousands and thousands if not millions of times today. And tommorrow too." Only in your delusional mind

Definition Rich

Ron Paul has filed papers as a Congressman indicating a net worth of $2.5 to over $5.0 million if I remember right - I am happy that he has been successful in life - but he is wealthy - not compared to Mitt Romney or even Newt Gingrich but compared to the average American he is very wealthy - I am worth considerably less than half of what he is worth and I have relatives and in-laws on my back all the time for assistance. To them I am rich - believe me to the average American Ron Paul is very rich indeed.

It has already started

Who is delusional now? If you support a man and can't see him as a man who is capable of making mistakes - which he did when he accepted social security - then you are very delusional.

Listen carefully now..

Listen to the interview.

You won't look like a burro.

He states very clearly that he pays more into Social Security than he receives back.

Now make an argument if you can.

Love thy enemy.

You miss the point

I will accept social security after paying in the maximum for well over half my working life and it will be the worst investment I ever made BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT - IT IS THE WORST POSSIBLE THING FOR RON PAUL'S POLITICAL MOVEMENT - THE MSM AND THE LIBERALS WILL MAKE HIM APPEAR TO BE A MEAN OLD HYPOCRITE - YOU CAN BANK ON IT AND IF YOU WOULD LOOK AT THE INTERNET TRAFFIC RIGHT NOW YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IT IS ALREADY HAPPENING.

When I first made my comment I was making a prediction about what would happen - well my prediction proved 100% right.

I knew it before I checked...

Another 1-weeker. I knew it. Don't think that you're going to influence or sabotage anything here. It's not going to happen. Better move on.

I voted for Ron Paul

I voted for Ron Paul in the Virginia primary - I thought that this was a political discussion - not a cult - Ron Paul has inserted some cold reality into the national discussion which was long overdue but he is human and here he screwed up.

I stand by my comment that there will be a huge fallout from the Social Security issue - so the proof will be in the pudding - just watch and see if this goes away like you think it will. It was sincerely a surprise to me - I never thought that he would accept social security personally after he has stated that it is unconstitutional

It's the same as the earmarks issue.

If the government has forced money from taxpayers, is it wrong to take some of it back in a totally legal manner? They force you to give them money at gunpoint, and you are saying that it is immoral or wrong somehow to accept your own money back?

This is not going to be anything, because as he explained, it is only common sense to accept back what you payed in. I wish somebody would try to make an issue of this b/c it would give an opportunity to show how much Ron Paul turns in at the end of the year from his office, and how he has opted out of the lucrative government pension plan.

It is being made an issue

The liberal blogs and MSM will make it a big issue so you will have your chance to make the point - this is an issue and don't count on the MSM to present the flip side as you did here. The average guy and gal will only hear the negative and it will be very difficult to get the message out. To me personally giving back the office money is not that huge but opting out of the congressional pension is an act of character.

I'm getting beat up on here but Ron Paul made a strategic mistake in taking social security - the money is minor compared to the smear campaign that will be waged - and watch, the stronger his support the more vicious the attacks will be - up to now the liberal MSM has used Ron Paul as a tool against the GOP - assuming that he would never get much real support but as his support grows - the attacks will start and Rachel Maddow and the crew at MSNBC will lead the smear campaign.

Your argument would lead all

Your argument would lead all of us to live in caves and live on vegetables from our own gardens garden lest we be branded by hypocrites at Democratic Underground. As to Ron being a "meanie," he has repeatedly said that he wants to cut the empire before he touches SS and food stamps.

This is not a "cult" like view, at least for me. I have criticized Ron's mistakes many times here....but this is NOT a mistake on his part. The money was STOLEN from him and he has every right to get some of it back. Of coruse, the left will misrepresent him but this only provides us an opening to explain this point.

Your Message Won't Sell

I agree 100% with your sentiments on Social Security but it will not sell in America - not even in Texas where I lived for a number of years - which is why Ron Paul has never won a statewide election and which is why the Liberty movement has a hard ceiling over how far it can grow - anyone who is perceived as hostile to social security will be rejected by the mass of the American public. The Liberty movement followers are energetic and well-informed but it is a tiny percentage of the American public - the reason that the GOP has not moved to reform social security up to now is because it knows that to do so would result in an electoral catastrophe.

What message won't sell?

What message won't sell? Ending the empire and using the money to shore up social security and save food stamps? That's Ron proposal.

This Message Won't Sell

We are going to shrink the military and lay off servicemen and women in order to maintain food stamps. That is a loser - do you think that this is a winner? Do a poll at the mall - any mall and ask this question - unless you are in Berkeley, you will get your answer - all this talk of empire is great but when you get down to specifics of laying off young men and women serving their country for a give-away you are in deep doo-doo.

You seem to be on the

You seem to be on the website. Ending the Empire is central to Paul's message. Did you take a wrong turn somewhere?

"Joe was not even at the

"Joe was not even at the table"... that figures. I've always seen Joe as two faced with his political personna. The hair on the back of my neck bristles at the very mention of Papa Breszinski. The image of Count Dracula always comes to mind.

He voted for Ron Paul...

and gave a public statement on why.

Maybe he didn't have any questions that he wanted to ask Ron on air.

Why go negative?

Because he's not consistent.

Because he's not consistent. I have watched Joe Scarborough mock Ron Paul as much as any of the others on their panel.

Why Trust MSNBC?

One thing is certain to me - MSNBC is the vanguard of the liberal MSM and this one outlet acts almost as a PR unit of the Obama campaign - the entire MSNBC crew including Scarborough are anti-Romney, anti-Paul, anti-Liberty and anti-Constitution - whey they say they support you - you had better watch out because they are doing it for an ulterior motive - Ron Paul's overall interview was good but the only thing that this interview will be remembered for will be the fact that Ron Paul draws Social Security checks. For this reason it was a disaster.

Did the female reporter on

Did the female reporter on Morning Joe do anything annoying to him? She can be a real....

She was nice to him..

even challenging Sam Stein when it seemed that he was trying to get Ron caught up.

Then Sam even apologized at the end (even though it was a reasonable question that he asked).

'Morning Joe' was very respectful.
