Ron Paul made an appearance on the show this morning.

As you remember,Morning Joe's Joe Scarborough voted, as well as publicly acknowledged his support for Ron Paul recently.

Would someone please produce

Would someone please produce the "social contract" with my signature on it? I have never agreed to be a party to this coercion!

It was robo-signed!

Sorry, no one remembered to tell you. Just a minor slip-up, no worries.

Mika: "that don't make any sense"

For an otherwise great interview, Mika and Ben just had to mess it up.

Ron Paul got to say a lot and hopefully America saw right through that last bit.

Real eyes realize real lies

We want our country back

Every year is a year for Ron Paul!

He's back!

And in TOP form.... ready to tackle the world!

Loose Moose

Loved the interview until...

The end when, that dude asked if Ron Paul was on Social Security, which Ron answered yes. Does this make Ron a hypocrite like people think Ayn Rand was for saying SS was toxic but she sure collected the checks? Just trying to get a grasp on people saying its bad but they still collect the checks. Isn't that relying on the Government? Thanks.

I think he explained himself well. Dr. Paul

costs the taxpayers far less than any other Congressman. He'd save us a vast amount were he elected President. He is morally, ethically, intellectually far superior to anyone else. But if someone thinks he/she finds the teensiest pimple in his policies a big deal is made of it.
Meanwhile the other candidates & current POTUS have metastasizing, gross, ethically disfiguring moral maladies and, ho hum, not worth mentioning. Crickets.

No

It is never morally wrong to get back a relatively small part of what the Party has stolen. I'm sure Dr. Paul would have opted out decades ago if he could. He would have gone to jail if he tried not paying.

Thank you! This is what I am

Thank you! This is what I am saying. Social Security isn't an option...it's practically forced upon anyone who works on the books.

Well...

Thanks. I see that stopping it for younger generations so they don't have to pay into the system is the goal.

I've been paying for over forty years.

And I'd give it all up if it meant the scam would end. The nation's future is more important that my own.

However, I intend to get back what I can in the meantime, if the International Banking Party and its servants continue to rob me and my grandchildren. Hopefully I can leave them something.

Great spirit!

Thank you for being willing to give it all up if meant the scam would end. And good for you -caring about leaving something to your children's children.

Ron Paul says we are all

Ron Paul, keep trying to advance the liberty movement for ourselves. He is telling us to keep going take over the GOP, this is his second choice. So many gave up, and now we see Ron Paul never gave up.

Lets go after those State Conventions and give the GOP real heart burn.

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

AWESOME!

THAT was an awesome performance by Ron! I'm so happy Social Security was addressed in length as opposed to the time available in debates. Reason? This is an aging population. The voting block of those on SS is huge. He was allowed the time to explain that those in power would just end it because of the economic crises, no money and no cuts to fund it. He would faze it out. HE is the ONLY one who would not turn Grandma and Grandpa out onto the street to starve! Paid for by actually making cuts in excessive government, not sending their sons and daughters off illegally to become canon fodder for the UN agenda, not our constitution.
FINALLY..........it's been covered on National TV! The elderly know Ron Paul is their best friend!

Social Security

Brilliant question about Social Security at 13:28. According to this deep man, since Dr. Paul conscientiously opposes Social Security, he should tell young people to pay the premiums, but never make a claim? If he advises them that since they are threatened with government violence if they don't pay the premiums, they should at least collect the benefits, he is being inconsistent or hypocritical?

No, he's not advising anything.

He wants a policy change to social security where young people can opt out in toto. That means no premium payments and no benefits.

We won't receive benefits anyway, like he says, because the government will not be able to pay for it.

Love thy enemy.

RE: No, he's not advising anything.

Obviously. The interviewer's question is idiotic, which is what my post was saying.

I gotcha.

I totally missed the sarcasm in your first sentence.

Love thy enemy.

PAY ATTENTION!!!

Go back and listen again. There is NO inconsistency to his position.

Thanx,

Jason

You can't get clean in a dirty bathtub.

RE: PAY ATTENTION!!!

No, YOU pay attention. I am obviously showing the stupidity of what the interviewer is implying. Don't freak out before you think. Do you think anyone would seriously call some CNN interviewer "deep"?

....and a lot of Canadians.

Damned straight! The message of Liberty is universal. Canadian politicians take note. We're coming!!

Thanx,

Jason

Welcome all!

Welcome all!

Social Security

He should take it- He paid for it. It's his money. Opting out would have let him keep and invest it, but he never had that option. We pay a lot, I mean A LOT, of money into Social Security. I would have loved to kept that cash.

Also, I finally get the resistance to our little convention coups. They weren't afraid we'd take the nom so much as they were afraid we'd get that convention speech.

I have a headache.

Wow!

I almost forgot how much RP shines when he is well-rested. Possibly one of his best interviews this year, fairly reasonable questions from MSNBC as well (shocking).

"That isn't correct"

Did anyone hear that snide bitch chime in and say, "That's not correct" when Dr. Paul schooled them on SS when he said he pays in more than he gets out of SS.

I thought she said, "That doesn't make sense."

I noticed and replayed that part and that was about what I was able to make out. It did seem to end in a bit of confusion.

It has to do with the

Ron Paul is right. Almost certainly. Very few people get more out of SS then they pay in.

Don't make me defend that harpy Meeka

What she said was "Well, that doesn't make sense but there you go." Which in context was her way of saying it was a screwed up system as far as Paul was concerned. She was basically saying Paul made a good point.

She's a demon child so don't make me defend her in any way.

I didn't notice

I was too entertained by Pauls response.

Thank you RP!

For explaining social security in a clear understandable matter for the masses RP!!!!

I know this has been one of the only pet peeves I have been having and he nailed it

Let the fed self destruct - classic

By saying he is taking social security himself will ease the uncertainty that he WILL protect and SAVE social security - I'm on it, I paid into it more than I receive.

That's what the seniors needed, to clearly define his stance in an easy to understand manner on national TV!

Before I get voted down because we understand his stance, most don't.

I think we all can agree the Social Security issue needed to be address in this manner for the masses.. awesome!

THANK YOU THANK YOU RP for doing this!!

Sublte Knife of Liberty

He has the amazing ability to stay calm, focused and respectful, no matter what ridiculous or insulting question or insinuation comes his way. In interviews he is so solid and he does not need to argue and force his ideas to the people he's talking to. Instead he has the ability to draw people near wanting to hear more, regardless of their political affiliation. A few of those talking heads wanted to slap a big label on him that said "Heartless Republican Hypocrite" and by staying calm and speaking the truth and being the exemplary person he is, that label simply disintegrated. Paul has learned how to penetrate peoples defenses. He has the ability to wield a subtle knife.
