Since when has the Ron Paul

supporters not represented the campaign. During Ron Pauls ralleys when thousands of his supporters showed up, not one time was there any disrespect shown to anyone. The atmosphere was that of oneness and comraderie. What the hell is benton talking about? He needs to go away. He is the one that is NOT representing the campaign.

Do you folks really have no concept of how this paints Ron Paul supporters?

Forget 'baby liberty"...throw her out with the wash. This attack Jesse...AT THIS POINT...before the convention is so counter-productive and school yard.

Whatever he did or did not do is really irrelevant at this point. Get behind the delegates...the message...Dr. Paul and, at this time, he does not need to hear about anything except our support.

I am beginning to think some of you would not be happy if you did not have someone to attack with vengeance and focus all your attention on.

It is my understanding that the family is very worried about threats. They have had threats, whether from us who were totally PO'd about Rand, or the NWO, I don't know, but they are only going where they can count on their own security.

So, before you jump to conclusions, consider that they're being very picky for reasons of safety. That's why they're planning their own event. They also want to have an event that is free, so anyone who wants to can attend.

There are some things you don't jest about and this is one of them.

Just a few reasons the comment about "roughing up" Jesse are way off:

1. Dr. Paul asked Michael to remove posts about Jesse and he complied.
2. There is great anger, perhaps justified, toward Jesse. Can you vouch that everyone on this site is completely balanced and would never take justice into their own hands to the detriment of the delegates, the convention, the message and Dr. Paul?
3. There is such a think as false flags. If Jesse were to get "roughed up" by someone inside or outside the campaign...this comment would be pulled up.
4. Do you want over 40's and women to be apart of the liberty movement or, like Carol Paul, totally turned off by some of the crude remarks.

In some quarters this WOULD be jest and a good way to let off steam. This is NOT the place ... one month before the convention.

I agree with you. I am not too happy with Jesse Benton, but I think many of the comments are really an over reaction and the one about roughing him up is way out of line. That's inflammatory...is the person who made that comment a Paul supporter or a troll getting paid to make Paul supporters look like extremists? I think people need to get over that type of emotionalism and move on to the convention and getting our delegates seated, etc.

If Dr. Paul wants to have his rally somewhere else I support him in that. With all of the bickering and infighting and claims that the GOP was trying to sabotage the Paulfest, I don't blame him for wanting to put some space between himself and that group.

...it results in agitating people. There may well be very appropriate times at and during the convention for delegates and others to be very upset, vocal and demonstrative against injustices. Battles may need to be fought...and battles will be won.

Jesse is history and not the battle. Knowingly or unknowingly it is a smear tactic to divert attention from where it should be focused.

If Ron Paul read this thread, I doubt he would look forward to any of the three events. Can't he just have his own where he lets supporters (and mainly the delegates) know how much we all appreciate them...to motivate and educate as only he can...and, perhaps, to enjoy the event himself and feel comfortable that he can trust all of his supporters to conduct themselves in such a manner that this movement comes out smelling like a rose. No meat for the media dogs.

Jesse Benton, the man famous for his work in Borat & Bruno, has made another genius decision. This one will keep Ron Paul away from yet another major grassroots event. When asked about Ron Paul events in Tampa, Jesse says “Ron Paul will avoid events where his campaign doesn’t set the tone and message. The event at the fairgrounds is being held by Paul supporters who aren’t affiliated with the campaign”.

Jesse will instead help to divide the movement by holding a separate event the same weekend as PaulFest , an event grassroots supporters have been working on since March.

My Prediction, Sacha Baron Cohen will be one of the speakers, after he convinces Jesse that he’s a Republican running for congress in Florida.

Then again, I could just be one of those crazy grassroots people who “doesn’t get it”. So where do you stand? Should Ron Paul attend PaulFest or follow Jesse Benton’s lead and hold a separate rally? Vote in our poll below

because we've already made hotel reservations! I won't mind if the location will be close by, but goodness gracious, please Dr. Paul don't be moving around too far away from the Tampa Fairgrounds, please!!

Moreover, please make a decision SOON, because we are needing to make airline reservations, and we need to do is soon!

And, also, can SOMEONE please explain to me why it was that Dr. Paul attended the 2008 festival/rally but not now? Why can't we do the same thing we did then??
